The Thank You of Ty is a mammoth, orderly nation, renowned for its enslaved workforce, frequent executions, and stringent health and safety legislation. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless, devout population of 8.983 billion Tyians are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The medium-sized, corrupt, socially-minded, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defense, and Industry. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 64.3%.

The frighteningly efficient Tyian economy, worth a remarkable 1,129 trillion golds a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a large, well-organized, fairly diversified black market in Arms Manufacturing, Tourism, Information Technology, and Cheese Exports. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 125,686 golds, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 366,115 per year while the poor average 34,113, a ratio of 10.7 to 1.

Tyians ask their doctors whether chili peppers are right for them, the path to inner peace is paved with state-mandated punishment, the Not a Tax Haven Foundation is the most popular charity, and the Elephant is protected from hunting and slowly coming back from the brink of extinction. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Ty's national animal is the Elephant, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Ty is ranked 53,080th in the world and 182nd in Artificial Solar System for Most Eco-Friendly Governments, scoring 1,865.72 on the Dolphin Recycling Awareness Index.
