The Chaotic Nightmare Nation of Zandos is a mammoth, efficient nation, ruled by High Memer Eggward The Third with a fair hand, and remarkable for its barren, inhospitable landscape, rampant corporate plagiarism, and sprawling nuclear power plants. The compassionate, hard-working, democratic, cheerful population of 5.948 billion Zandosians enjoy a sensible mix of personal and economic freedoms, while the political process is open and the people's right to vote held sacrosanct.

The relatively small, corrupt, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Administration, Industry, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Zandia. The average income tax rate is 67.2%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Zandian economy, worth a remarkable 1,654 trillion Zandollas a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is an enormous, deeply entrenched, broadly diversified black market in Information Technology, Soda Sales, Retail, and Arms Manufacturing. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an amazing 278,155 Zandollas, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Airplanes have giant grilles on their noses to knock drones out of their path, conductors wield diamond-encrusted batons to fit in with their freshly gilded surroundings, it is believed that belligerence is a passing phase foreign leaders will soon outgrow, and bombs are permitted on planes for the 'security of the passengers'. Crime, especially youth-related, is all-pervasive, perhaps because of the country's complete lack of prisons. Zandos's national animal is the D U C C, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its national religion is Hinduccism.

Zandos is ranked 103,782nd in the world and 1,581st in The North Pacific for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring 1,972.84 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
