HISTORY

In 12BCE Haval-Germanic migrants from northern lands settled on the large island naming it Havalland. as they became distant from their homelands they laid claims to the island and fought against the native daoine bho thìrean brèagha people also referred to as Maisic Celts (who called the island tìr maise).
The Havallish people brought a strange pagan religion with them that seemed to venerate a warrior goddess, when traders from distant lands brought Christianity to the island the people mixed their beliefs eventually leading to the modern branch of Havallish Christianity.

in 1069 the Kingdom of Havalland went to war with the largest Maisic kingdom Tir Arain which sat on the plains of havalland, the war lasted only one year ending in Havallish victory in 1070.

In 1100 Havalland declared a holy war against the native pagans unifying the island, the following rule would crush the native faith and cement the Havallish church as the ruling religion on the island.

In 1451 Havalland began its first expansion north establishing a small settlement on Totomishin called Norwind, small skirmishes would break out between then and 1480 causing some territory expansion and the establishment of the Dominion of Norwind in 1482.

In 1594, one of largest skirmishes in Norwind occurred. Leading to a brutal campaign of oppression crushing as much native resistance as possible, only one example of the Red King’s brutality against not only his own people but the people he declared enemies.

In 1603, A coup lead by Lucas Erhardt overthrows the "Red King" Johan Klaus who was a cruel man believed to be insane, Lucas was a cousin of Johan making his claim legitimate and granting him the nickname “tyrants bane”.

In 1625 Hans Ehrhardt I becomes king and married Lordess Julianne Schmidt.
Later in 1632 Havalland conquers the Island of Turwick with limited casualties.
In 1653, king Hans dies and King Hans Ehrhardt II becomes King.

In 1654 king Hans II marries Tástilí Mgar-ræn of the Iszkarian Empire, this leads to the establishment of Doelá.
He died in 1699 leaving King Hans Ehrhardt III to take care of his mother until her passing in 1710.
Hans III later married Aspru of House Mgar.

Hans III died in 1730, it is speculated that Aspru became depressed, she died five years later.
King Hans Ehrhardt IV ruled relatively normally, Hans IV would pass away in his sleep in 1769 his son Hans V ruled for one year and died from TB, the crown would fall to his nephew king Maximus I.

In 1769 the Dominion of Norwind was dissolved forming the Monarchal Republic of TotoMishin, a Havallish puppet that would remain under Havallish influence.

In 1840 TotoMishin became a democratic nation and began its drift away from Havallish influence, although still depent on Havalland.

King Maximus IV was only 13 when his father died leaving his mother as queen until he came of age in 1858 in 1865 he married Princess Elerhī of Nhoor, often regarded as the sweetest royal couple, when they got married, Maximus IV had a beautiful Duvactist Temple built for her, giving it the nickname "Elerhī's Temple".
Maximus would only buy Elerhī the best, when she tried to return the favor Maximus simply said "I already have everything I want".

In 1870 the Nation of TotoMishin was finally free from Havallish rule, though disgruntled the government of Havalland elected to let TotoMishin be and attempted to have mutual ground with its new neighbor.

The Royal family where grief stricken when Maximus Wolf V had died of TB (leading to the myth of five being an unlucky number)
But they pulled through together.
Unfortunately in 1902 Elerhī died sending Maximus into a deep depression, he abdicated two months later and on October 2nd, 1905 Maximus IV had comited suicide by gun, he was found by his son Leon hours later.
Maximus was laid to rest beside Elerhī's grave, his stone reads "Maximus Wolf IV, 1840 - 1905, cause of death: Heartbreak".

1920, Havalland experienced a small uprising of radicals in a mining town, the revolt at green hill was an over reaction to poor working conditions but though the radicals did attempt to fight and held the town for 4 months the rebellion was defeated with low casualties. Ever since then havalland has improved the status of workers and workers rights.

During reconstruction Havalland returned control of Manjat back to the Aziran Isles in 1947
