If more visa's are required, please send a telegram to General of the Prince We Kulash, operating in the city of Osas. As our most senior defence chief, he will be able to provide you as much support as necessary. However, we hope to wish you all the most fantastical of times.

Prince Daz: (Smoking a cigar) You pamper like a p***y.

Prince Yerf: Nonsense, I think the man did well. It is a time to celebrate, and sharing our joy with the world is of no harm.

Prince Daz: I still think giving three million Rokas a nation is a lot of money... thats enough money to fund a Captani and his command team.

Prince Frey: Dreka, my good friend, (walking up to him and patting his shoulder from behind, causing him to flinch and turn around,) sorry for startling you... All I am trying to do is to show off our wealth, in turn showing our power, and getting a good opinion. You of all people know its a good sign to show our dominance, am I right?

(Prince Daz sits in silence, lightly puffing his cigar and thinking. Everyone sits in silence for a moment.)

General of the Prince Tin Po: My Prince's, (he says, snapping to attention,) shall I start transferring some of our men into the capital cities and borders? Strengthen our defences?

Prince Daz: (snapping into focus) I dont want you in the cities, General. Send your men to our borders. General Kulash?

General of the Prince We Kulash: (snapping to attention as well,) Yes my Prince?

Prince Daz: I want you to organise General Kilan Po and General Qluqina Polasi into sending their men to start bolstering our cities, especially Osas.

Prince Yerf: I also want General Guida to return to the capital, new plan for him if we know whos coming.

(The General's of the Prince nod their heads, raise then fist across their chest in salute, followed by raising it above their head with a shout of "Karrak". They proceed to leave the room)

Prince Frey: I do love that salute. Best idea you've had to date Dreka.

(Prince Daz nods his head and grunts in agreement)

Prince Yerf: Right. Lets get organising. This will need to be the greatest show of Nigaria we will need. We all know, first impressions last.

Versailles Repaired, the King leaves the Château de Chambord

Since the Paris January bombings around 170 days ago, the Château de Versailles has been under construction with a workforce of almost 4,000 workers to reconstruct and remake the famous French Baroque architecture. Around 30 of the greatest Master craftsmen from France, Switzerland and Polaris were hired to recreate busts, paintings etc that had been lost and architectural features that required a greater knowledge of craftsmanship. After several months of back breaking labour, the Château de Versailles is once more the glamorous seat of prestige that it had been until recent events and it will become the King's Residence on his return from Ireland, for the meantime the secretary of state for the King's Household, Cardinal Roche-Aymon is to caretake the residence.

This mean's of course that embassies of respective nations will be transferred to Versailles where several new and beautiful residences have been constructed on the grounds of Michellae's Historic Royal Capital.

The great feasts, drinking, diplomacy and hunting associated with being honoured guests, diplomats and the like will once more be as grandiose as in prior times.

Following the King's visit to Ireland, namely to Wexford City and others, he was greeted with cheers from Irish citizens as his Bugatti Galibier and escort made it's way to the Presidential Palace. Kind words were exchanged as the elderly king made his way in, President Sean O'Sinneoid giving a slight bow, greeted His Majesty who promptly replied "Ireland is the true friend of France".

The King, so impressed by Sean O'Sinneoid and his statesmanship conferred on to the President, the Class three, Order of St. Louis, Chevalier class (O.S.L) and honourary peerage as the Duc de Luynes, in which the Château de Luynes in the Loire Valley is granted as his private residence.

Sobrut roughly translates to Congress. It was also called Parliment, which means a gathering for policy (parli). Denbrut roughly means Senate, while Okebrut roughly means Assembly. A Dule is a Council, which is commonly found in local governments, while a Zemst is a Committee, often found in smaller parts of government and the like.

Elections in Alsesia

President (Direktor): Happens once every five years. Basically, they've been held on a year ending in either "2" or "7" for many, many years. The first round of the presidential election shall occur on the first Saturday and Sunday of December, and the second round on the first Saturday and Sunday of January. Polls shall open at 0000 Hours on Saturday and close at 2330 Hours on Sunday. The winner of the election shall be inaugurated on the Sunday 28 days from the second day of the election (4 weeks after). Each president is entitled to a maximum of 3 terms, and a single debate between the two candidates making it to the second round will occur on the last Sunday of December.

Example: December 4th and 5th, 2021 is the first round of the election. The debate will be on the 26th of December, while January 1st and 2nd, 2022 is the second and final round.

Speaker of the Sobrut (Evocker of de Sobrut) : With every new Presidential inauguration, the Sobrut votes for a Speaker that must receive a majority in both houses to be sworn in. The Speaker will serve as a vice president and advise the President on policy and serve as a mediator between him and the Sobrut.

Provincial Governors (Blost Guvenans): Despite having the same term length as the president, gubernatorial election have only a single voting round on the first Saturday and Sunday of January. Also, the elections occur on a year ending in 4 or 9 instead and 2 and 5. Governors are mandated by law to be independents, although many end up working with specific parties (and later join them, in the famous case of now-President Scott Letters).

Denbrutans: The Denbrut consists of 4 seats for each of the 16 provinces and 1 seat for each of the 11 Organized Islands. This equals 75 seats, with each Denbrutan serving a 5-year term beginning in a year ending with 5 or 0. Organized Island elections feature a simple election based on the popular vote. In the 16 provinces, two seats are left to the popular vote (with the state's Denbrut "electoral district" being drawn based on a non-partisan divide of its population), another to the non-partisan Governor, and one to the elected Provincial Sobrut.

Okebrutans: Okebrutans are elected for a two-year term. The first election of an Okebrutan was in a year ending with 3. Therefore, the election year endings go 3, 5, 7, 9, 1, and back to 3.

Mayors (same in Alseslang): Cities are allowed to elect a mayor on their own schedule. However, the mayor must serve a minimum term of three years and a maximum of five. Term limits may be decided by local governments.

Nurse Elene Richards sighed, as she leaned against the wall on the Accident and Emergency Ward (Commonly referred to as A&E). Richards was sweating, it had already been an extremely tough shift. St. Barnabas Hospital was the main hospital in Central Polaris, and was the closest to Polaris' Grand Central Station, which had just been the scene of an horrific terror attack. A flood of patients, all with severe injuries, had already stretched the A&E department to breaking point. Now there were several dozen more ambulances on the way, all with patients on critical life support.

Richards heard several calls over the hospitals intercom system, and immediately sprang into action, helping to prepare the last A&E beds to receive patients with severe traumas and injuries. Then, suddenly, the door to the ambulance bay burst open. A hospital trolley with a patient in critical condition burst through. Richards ran over and listened to the paramedic;

Lead Ambulance Paramedic: "This is Jack Ross, 27. He was caught up in the bombing. Severe burns to chest, legs and his left arm. Airway had to be opened, but he's now breathing without assistance. Internals unknown. HB Stable, SATS stable."

Richards: "Understood." She moved the trolley over to one of the beds, "Right, lets move him onto the bed." The ambulance crew and Richards moved the patient onto the bed.

Lead Ambulance Paramedic: "Ma'am, we've got head out back - I'd suggest you prepare to receive more patients."

Richards: "Thank you, we'll try!"

The ambulance crew walked to the door that lead to the ambulance bay. Before they reached it, the door burst open again. It wasn't any paramedics, but it was in fact a few soldiers. Solders from Royal Nigaria and Mathorn. The lead soldier walked up to Richards' boss - Reagan Wolf, and offered a handshake.

Alexander Bennet (Nigerian Soldier): "Alexander Bennet, 7th Supporting Infantry, we're from Royal Nigaria. We were in Mathorn on joint-training exercises. Along with the Mathornian Medical Corps, we want to help you guys out."

Wolf (A&E Lead Nurse) "Thank you, gentlemen. We'll need your help. We've got a further 23 critical patients, along with a further 47 patients with severe injuries, arriving over the next 20 minutes. Can you help clear the A&E floor and help transfer current patients to their respective wards. We'll handle down here, but it'd be greatly appreciated if you could speed up the transition of patients from A&E to other wards."

Alexander Bennet (Nigerian Soldier): "Understood, ma'am. He turned round to his second in command, a fair looking medic. "Critter, get the men in here now! We have to help save lives".

The appearance of soldiers helped to reassure nurse Richards, and the other nurses. Though the rest of the day was a tough, long, and tiring slog, the nurses at St. Barnabas Hospital were forever grateful for Bennet, the Mathornian Medical Corps, and their soldiers. Throughout the day, the hospital received countless number of patients, some of whom, sadly, couldn't be saved. However, with the support and assistance of the military, countless more lives were, unquestionably, saved.
