Anyways, the moral of the story is that you should never trust a Carni.
No really, every year at the South Florida Fairgrounds somebody gets assaulted by one. Not kidding.

Atlia sonis wrote:(RP describing what soldiers stationed by the coast have to go through every day)

Felix was staring at the roof of his bunk bed in the barracks. He usually just sat there, waiting for 10 o'clock. But not today. He looked to his left, looking at his clock, sure enough, 9:30. At 10, his drill sergeants would run in, blowing whistles, turning on the barracks' LED lights, and yelling at everyone to get up, get suited up, get their weapon, and run to the coastal outpost, where all day long, they would do nothing but stare out into the empty ocean, watching for enemy ships and bomber planes.

For that day, he didn't feel like getting yelled at by the drill sergeants and decided to go ahead and suit up. He jumped out of bed, opened his locker, pulled out his jumpsuit and put it on. The jumpsuit was a dark, green with pixelated camo. He grabbed his exo-skeleton head guard, slipped it on, and grabbed his rifle. His rifle was a BM114, a heavy machine gun designated to coastal outpost soldiers. He finally stepped into his exo-skeleton, which made this 6'2 man now 7'5. The exo-skeleton was also was a green pixelated camo. He grabbed his helmet, now a dark grey with a helmet mounted flashlight.

He picked up the rifle, and with slight squeak from the rusted hinges in the exo-skeleton, he stepped out of the barracks, and off to his stationed outpost.

Felix knew that it would be at least a 5 minute walk to the outpost, but that was just fine with him, giving that it was only 15 and a half minutes before the drill sergeants woke the rest up. When he stepped out of the barracks, less then 10 steps in, a drill seargent stopped him. "Private, what do you mean coming out of your designated barracks, fully suited, and with your weapon this early in the morning?!" The drill seargent barked. "Well, you see, drill sergeant," Felix said, "Since it was only 9:30 when I woke up, I figured I might as well go and get to the outpost before the wave of everyone else got there." The drill sergeant thought it over. "Well, since it's 15 more minutes before we wake the mob up, you go ahead." Said the drill sergeant.

Felix was happy by this, and continued to the outpost. Once he got there, he stepped inside, went to the open firing crenel, and got to see the sunrise, in what seemed to be years. And what a sunrise it was for that day. The sun coming up over the horizon, the oranges and yellows seeming to mix with the blues of the ocean, it seemed everything was timed perfectly, and the odds were in Felix's favor. Now all that was needed was to complete 20 more hours of watch, which wasn't very pleasent, but at least it was better then sitting in a trench getting shelled upon by the enemy.

Jesus Christ, my RP posts back then were terrible.

Boy. People do it in real life too. It’s called an ambush. Maybe check the corners before you go charging in. If you think I’m saying this because I’m a camper than your wrong. I just enjoy military history. And people training their weapons on an area where the enemy will pass through has been happening for centuries. You don’t need to sprint all over the map to play the game.
