Not everyone is fine with non-humans, but they're allowed.

He (the cartographer) said, "uH fantasy elements aren't really done on this map on that scale. the most we have is nekos and dragons, and they're only permitted because they were implemented long before my time as cartographer, and there's in-depth worldbuilding associated with it that can't be undermined."

Oh, I see. This was Merlo. They've got a weird beef with 'fantasy elements' being on the map at all (I think they've gotten passive-aggressive about the existence of nekos and dragons a couple times). Frankly, the limits they try to impose in that regard are way beyond what anybody else thinks is reasonable.

I'm sure your soldiers are lovely people and I didn't mean to look at them like that. Let's um, let's go and see this 4% you keep mentioning, and I'll try to be a bit more open-minded."

Granite's tail flips back and forth a little. The gears of a killing machine have no place playing nursemaid.

"Certainly." Says Sara, and communicates to the driver their route and destination. Sara then simply glances at Granite, a smile on her lips, but cold, calculation in her eyes... her 'voice' comes out just as colder and just as swift.

A Soldier's duty is to their people, no matter how big, and no matter how Small. A soldier is not a killing machine in Imperial Culture, a soldier is a defender, and a keeper of the Peace. We made the mistake of treating our troops as nothing more than a tool to slaughter our enemies. That is a part of my Great Grandfather's Legacy the rest of my family is quick to forget, but I will not. When we have a war to fight in, I swear it, we will be more ruthless than any Being or any God. This is our home, and the bond and line between soldier and civilian is a close one. Do not underestimate an Imperial, for we are fanatic to our causes.

The transport reaches the New Cortheas outskirts. the high walls of the districts, covered in flora are ever so slightly damaged, but the repair work is almost complete. Unlike the rest of Terrabis-Seran, New Cortheas is tall and one with the land around it.

OOC: So option A or B?

He seems to have missed a few other species that have existed since before him.
Do what you want. More than likely, no one will objects to it OOCly.
ICly might be a different story though.

that’s unfortunate.

i’m pretty sure merlo is like the only person who’s against you, Crocadillia, and he’s the cartographer which is extremely disappointing.

Don't ask, Valsora has a lot of wierd IC people

There's a whole ideology dedicated to wanting non-humans to not exit.

Imagine a RP with ONLY non-humans, that would make merlo explode

Nah, you don't have to do that. The other cartographer seems way more reasonable about new species; I'll bring it up with them. Hopefully, by the end of tomorrow, Merlo's dumb roadblock will be no more.

He trudges off in a random direction. Maybe if he can figure out what the hell is going on with this island, the next dragon won't be so useless at dragon-ing.

He seems to be heading back to the coast.

He'll find that the cults really ruin a lot of helpful things with their arguing.

There have been several.

He can't really object to them. He has authority over the map, but not much over our RPs.
Checks/Balances and all that.

i like the idea of nonhumans but only nonhumans?

now this makes me very nervous for my little tamdez rp, though being nervous is completely irrational but it could technically happens because... tamdez
