Demetrius guides the San Sierrans up the three flights of nine stairs, using his knowledge of the place to avoid ice patches. Nicolas' black suit also serves as a beacon. Once Demetrius, Vicente, and the Chancellor's guards are safely at the top, Demetrius bids Vicente farewell, "Hasta tarde," while Nicolas officially greets the attaché and the guards, "Bienvenidos a Kallipolis. Entra. Es mas calido aqui."

All of the New Maiyan candidates compliment Hark's food, which makes him feel slightly happier (in particular Darius having triple servings). After they clean up and Darius does the dishes, everyone is ready to head back to the small pool and face "Help" and "Huddle positions".
Darius: Everyone ready for, um, Yelp and Puddle Positions?
Apoya: Help and Huddle Positions, and yes, I'm definitely ready to save somebody who is simulating drowning, and then float about in the water in a big circle for, well, a long time.
Hark (relieved): So that's what it means!

During the 398 years that the party has operated it has proven to be a political powerhouse, and has never once dropped lower than the third most represented party in the National Assembly. With the collapse of the Party of Progress in 1924, the NF became the closest thing the nation had to a liberal party, and over the years it has slowly grown to embody this viewpoint. While it still maintains that it is the conservative party, many modern political analysts refer to it as the de facto liberal party. The party's official slogan since then has been "The past in the view of the present," meaning that they seek to uphold tradition while adopting to the modern era. As an example, the party supports the values of the Trivere, but lobbied hard to block the High Priests from voting in the House of Lords. In recent years their somewhat confusing blend of liberal and conservative policies have begun to alienate their traditional base, and their support has begun to lag behind their rivals, especially the Vox Populi. While it's generally agreed that the rumors of the party's imminent collapse is hyperbolic, it is clear that the National Front is no longer the untouchable juggernaut that it once was. |

Symbol | The Blood Death Chaos Party of Doom | 1988 | The Blood Death Chaos Party of Doom, (BDCPD,) is a joke party which was founded in Nyasha in the year of 1988. Initially, candidates of the BDCPD ran on a platform of instituting human sacrifice, granting citizenship to zoo animals, and refusing to honor any of their campaign promises. Needless to say, they did not see much success in their early elections. Over time however, the BDCPD has shifted its focus away from simple shock humor, and towards a more scathing critique of Kriosaivak hyper-militarism. To account for this, their current party manifesto calls for the requirement of all citizens to wear military uniforms, that military parades be held every day in every city, and for all political speeches to be made in front of a row of soldiers. Their lackadaisical attitude towards politics has brought them into conflict with more traditional parties, which have accused them of corrupting the integrity of elections, it has made them at least moderately popular amongst the Kriosaivak youth. It is largely because of this that they won their their first election in 2024, a race for the seat of mayor in a small Nyashan town. Beating the notoriously corrupt incumbent National Front candidate, they celebrated their victory at Town Hall with a massive party, to which the entire town was invited. Despite the rather unconventional celebration, the candidate has proven to be adequate, and even won a second term in 2029. |

King Ashur Shaduni II has ordered a conquest of pirate controlled Cyprus.
Months after troops and the navy readying for war, a single fleet is deployed. Ground forces consist of infantry men, artillerymen and cavalry, while the navy consisted of wooden and steel vessels. Wooden ships armed with cannons, and steel vessels armed with naval shells. Some steel vessels are pre-dreadnought battleships, only two of them are deployed.
They all head to Cyprus.
