After their long trip by sea, the Kriosaivak musicians arrive. Even before they depart the boat, their show begins. As the doors onto the pier open, the first to leave are the Formosans, a dozen elegantly dressed women in the long flowing garments that are traditional to their home. As they move, the small strands of cloth affixed to their sleeves and dresses flutter through the air, trailing behind them. As they walk, they smile and wave at the small crowd that has gathered around the pier, one amongst them playing a small flute as the rest of them give a rapid dance to the crowd. After the short dance is over, the girls give a quick bow and form into two columns on either side of the pier.

The next to leave the boat are the Belskans. A dozen men and women in traditional armor march out of the boat, slamming the butts of their spears into the wood of the pier with each step they take. Behind them, two more figures march out, beating a steady rhythm on their drums. Quickly, the Belskans reach the end of the lead and spread out, giving the crowd another bow.

Finally, the biggest group of all leaves the boat. A group of the National Air Corps’ Honor Band march out at a rapid speed, speeding past the dancers and the Belskans before coming to a stop at the front of the group. Turning to the assembled crowd, they too give a bow, before launching into a rousing marching song. As they play, the other two groups form up behind them, and they begin to move off towards the venue, the small flags attached to the Belskan spears fluttering in the breeze.

OOC: I’m not really satisfied with this, but I’m on mobile and it’s the best I can do atm. :P

By the way, if anyone’s curious what the Air Corps looks like, check out the discord for art of their uniform! :P

I feel your pain. I mostly use nothing but mobile. :(

I’m using mobile too but I’ll most likely move over to laptop once I’m more comfortable on how to do things

1. You completely ignored my attack in the center. Of course the 312,000 troops aren't attacking one spot, but along a larger section of the center. The troops are close to their original positions, meaning that supply lines won't be an issue. I believe you misinterpreted that bit.

2. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-radiation_missile Yes, radar seeking missiles are a thing and you failed to address the fact that I probably took out most if not all of your communications on the border. You won't be able to locate my artillery very well and your chain of command will find it extremely hard to get orders across to troops. In short, you are kind of screwed.

3. First off, I do have more aircraft along the area than you so I would be careful about splitting up your forces like that. Secondly, your bombers will encounter resistance from whichever defenses I have in the area. Keep that in mind.

I understand this is your first war RP. You have actually done a pretty good job so far, but its natural to experience setbacks. Believe me, you can ask The Angel of Charity (Sorry for the ping) about how he kicked my ass (in a very similar way to this war).

A lot of the tactics I use are borrowed from him.

1. Well I only said that because merlovich said it wasn't possible.

2. Radar seeking missiles don't exist.

2.1 You say your attacking communications. but what communications? they aren't just large stations out in the open. That's basically your entire strategy, launching cruise missle after cruise missile, you need to start addressing the fact that I can shoot them down when approaching my things and that your running out of cruise missiles,.\

3. I'm using strategy with a little less aircraft then you to conserve my things. You're just throwing everything you got which is a great way to reduce numbers fast.

Yes, I know. you will have defenses against bombers, but defenses can't ensure 100% defense again every single attack. same with me.

Your cruise missiles have also become predictable and you are losing many, be careful and conserve them, or you will run out fast.

Insted of fighting, lets talk about how we can make it better.

there are several issues in that to point out.
1: There's 2 ways for communications. Wireless or wired. If it's wireless, then there are large towers that can be bombed. If it's wired then there are wires that are quite shallowly placed in the ground (at most 3 ft below). Easily targetted

2: Radar seeking missiles 100% can exist. They're known as anti-radiation missiles, and have been in use since 1936

3: bomber raids are nearly useless in the modern day unless done in massive numbers, so you're losing many more bombers than he is, as focusing all those bombers in one area means that the ground defences are both more likely to abandon their posts and take cover, and be destroyed before being able to take out the enemy.

4: Cruise missiles never become 'predictable', otherwise they wouldn't be used so freely in publicized training exercises. Everyone knows how a cruise missile works and what it's going to do. That doesn't mean they're able to shoot them down.

He is doing bomb raids too. and who said I waa focusing all bombers in one place.

all he is using is cruise missile after cruise missile. He isnt noting the fact that he should be close to out by now.

Pakitsk can we speak on how you want it to end?

lmao imagine having a plan
More seriously, a lot of Lovecraftian style is there being no escape, no victory, only delay... You can get away for a day, or a year, or a decade, but you're doomed either way and insane in the meantime.

I'm aware, I addressed that. The fact that you aren't focusing them is going to kill more of your forces. His will have fewer deaths as the ground based AA is unable to kill enough fast enough and so is both likely to be less accurate, and more likely to abandon their posts.

Meddacah wrote:Likely to do so, but never did.

Alright, then let's also look at the mechanical aspect. You slow down your rate of fire because the on board systems have to figure out which aircraft to target
There is nowhere near enough AA localized in one area to counter the enemy bombers, so by the time each AA gets 5 shots off, the other 200 are on them already and have annihilated them.

Compare that to your strategy of spreading your bombers out along the line. If you send a squadron of 24, and 15 get shot down, it's basically a mission failed.

I'm not spreading them across the line.

And Levantins stratedy is just to throw in everything without thinking about defense, like sending 312,000 troops throuugh the enem frontline to try and breakthrough and penetrate.
