Massive riots erupt in Talinn! Military Deserters take to the streets!

The city of Talinn, the glorious capital of Kolfronia, is under siege from 10,000 criminals, protesting the recent vote to abolish the legislative branch of government. Among them is the traitorous Evald Raud. Who has been apprehended by Kolfronian police. Raud has stated that he was horrified by the lack support for fundamental principles such as democracy, a flawed concept, that has been proven time and time again to not yield results or benefit society. General Valdur Opik has seized control of the city and the executive mansion. He has stated that he has the full support of the military, and will do whatever he can to enforce any new policies that he and his administration will create.
Around 300 criminals have been apprehended and publicly executed. Opik, who has named himself supreme chancellor, said that he will make an example of those who "disturb the peace of our fatherland." He has organized the traitor Raud's execution, which will take place next week.

Diplomatic note to the military government of Kolfronia

The Kingdom of Gerdalle categorically denies to recognize the recent events in Kolfronia as legal acts. We urge general Valdur Opik to step down, not to take any further actions and to immediately surrender himself and his forces to the legitimate and democratically elected government of Kolfronia.

His Majesty's Council of Ministers officially condemns acts of tyranny carried out by the self-proclaimed 'supreme chancellor'. General Opik acts as a traitor to the people of Kolfronia and its government and for that he must be brought to justice.

In the light of the recent events in Kolfronia, the Council of Ministers of Gerdalle issues an official travel ban to Kolfronia. Gerdalle will, however, accept any and all political refugees that shall be seeking an asylum in our fair Kingdom.

On behalf of the Cabinet of Orange-bourgogne, the Secretary of State for External Affairs decided to issue an official travel warning to Nationalist asian states due to the civil unrest as broadcast by the JNN. 2nd week of protests and the riots have stopped with at least 120 protesters arrested for being Involved with the riots most people who isn’t in the riots has fled the city til the riots stopped. The military presence has increased to help out with the police, akane has said that she will bring back the elections and she will step down because of the riots saying “I have failed the Japanese people, all I wanted was to get our country back into the spotlight but it didn’t work out now I’ll let a new leader bring our great nation back from the ashes thank you for everything I love Japan and our great people”

prison system to be reformed
The outian Prison system, today very similar to the american one, will in the next few years undergo reforms to make itself more similar to the prison systems of western europe.
Instead of focusing on punishment, first offenders, and lower tier criminals such as people convicted for stealing, drug crimes, unviolent crime etc. Will recieve comprehensive rehabilitation instead.
President Leivsdatter has also announced the establishment of six extra-low security prisons in Outia, to be established in allready existing prison compounds. in theese compounds, security barriers will be removed, and cells reformed seem more like apartments, that cells. Prisoners will also be allowed to take a limited role in society around them.
This is by Outian political standards a very liberal, and extreme attempt at tacklling the growing problem of crime in Outia.

We would like to exchange relations in the form of an ordinary consulate for now. The consulate will be accredited to the Embassy at Vestlanda. The reason that we choose to propose a consulate rather than an embassy, is that our nations have not yet co-operated on a regular basis in the past. If the relation between our nations becomes stable after a certain period of time, we will of course consider upgrading the consulate to a full embassy. Our proposed Consul is miss Angela Pietersen.
