History

Sandhoras's armed forces were created from the unification of tribal military forces which arose during the first half of the 20th century when various Sandhoran principalities were united under the Jentayu Dynasty. The primary objective of the armed forces in Sandhora is to defend the country's sovereignty and protect it from any and all types of threats.

It is responsible for assisting civilian authorities to overcome all international threats, preserve public order, assist in natural disasters and participate in national development programs. It is also sustaining and upgrading its capabilities in the international sphere to uphold the national foreign policy of being involved under the guidance of the United Nations (UN).

The Navy of Sandhora is by far the most funded and well equipped force among the Sandhoran Armed Forces. The country being effectively surrounded by water means having a strong navy is the key to its defensive strategy.

The construction of a large shipyard in Sembawang Shipyard, which was once, the largest drydock in the world also saw the beginning of an indigenous Sandhoran Navy. It produced 3-4 destroyer ships per year starting from 1941 til 1945.
