The Emperor has the rest of the dutch princes swear fealty to him once more, threatening to repeat his previous actions. He also tells Hamburg not to get too cocky. The retinue is scheduled to return to Vienna to meet up with the summoned Princes.

Astonished as they are by the concession, the North Sea delegates graciously accept the new ships and divide them amongst themselves. The North Sea cities have now found something in common with their Dutch foes, however: a fear of the Emperor's growing control. To simply have a Prince of the Empire killed, let alone shot like some common mutineer, is so extraordinary as to warrant whispers, rumors, and even the occasional critical pamphlet across North Germany. In response to this arbitrary action, Hamburg and her sister cities begin negotiating a proper peace settlement with the Dutch, fearing that if they don't act fast, their own lands will be confiscated by the "Tyrant of Vienna," although none call him that to his face. An publisher, working anonymously from one of the Northern cities, produces a propaganda leaflet that spreads like wildfire throughout the North.
Are we cowards and slaves, or free men? Perhaps it is time that Austria's ministers and schemers were driven out of the Emperor's most gracious presence! AEIOU indeed; "Alles Erdreich Ist Osterreichs Untertan!" The Papist Austria misleads the Emperor, and perhaps it is time His Imperial Majesty denounced his greedy, lying, traitorous Austrian manipulators!

OOC: Here's a quick lesson: the Emperor is not that powerful. If nothing else, you just earned the enmity of the Dutch princes and any other Princes who have at any point criticized you or Austria, that is, half the North. I won't claim to control them, but I hope you won't pretend the Empire is centralized and the Emperor's word is law. It really wasn't, not then, not a hundred years afterwards, not a hundred years before.
