Vaporising lakes, rivers and oceans. Extreme fires in the forests and probably also in urban areas. You'd need an astronaut suit to go outside.

Hello free nations!

I have a politically incorrect question. (please don't take it so seriously)

What do you think about telling a white or black person?

Example:
"That person is black" instead of saying
"That person is Afro-descendant"

I will read them all! :)

It depends if I know the person, I call my African American friend black kid. He teases me back. But if it's a stranger I say African American, or whatever their descent. But you don't need to be PC here imo.

It's kind of dumb how people call black people in Britain or anywhere other than America "African American" it makes no sense. If you can't call them African English or "African _____" then just call them black. I'm black i'm fine with being called just black.

I think there's nothing racist about saying black. It's just a general name for a group of people. And it's shorter than African American (which is fine as well).

Yes, I don't understand people who are offended by calling them "blacks" or "whites."

By saying Afro-descendant, as you say, we are saying African!

Wow, I hadn't seen it that way, good contribution!

"Asian" is a strange description because it just means "person from Asia" but it's used differently. In continental Europe and I guess also in the USA it normally refers to East Asians and South-East Asians like Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and so on. But in the UK it refers to South Asians like Pakistanis or Indians. It's too general, while "black" is a bit more accurate.

Thanks for the input!

I don't know where the "afro-descendant" came from.
And although there is no racism, there are people (who are not of that color) who defend until death that they use Afro-descendants and not blacks! I mean they defend a cause that is not necessary!

I am from Latin America, and almost everyone here says "Chinese" when we refer to any Asian.

instead, "black" here is even used to talk with friends

And if you think about it more, you realize that people instead of "fighting" racism by saying Afro-descendant, are actually encouraging it by generalizing, that all Africans are black!
