Your excellency,

Allow me to be the first to thank your nation for the contract offered to our Arms Corporation, Hadid. As one of the first foreign contracts for Hadid, it is a pride to all our nation that we have won this bid.

His Majesty and I both hold the conviction that both Russoslava and the Kingdom are at integral gateways in our paths, with Russoslava rebuilding, and the Kingdom rapidly modernizing. We also share key interests in the energy sector, interests that can align themselves naturally in some cases.

For these reasons, the Kingdom would like to extend its hand and move towards the opening of bilateral relations between our states. We invite the Russoslav government to open an embassy in Jeddah and would request to do the same in St. Andersburg. Should your government accept, the King intends to nominate HE Saif Omar Ghobash as Ambassador to your nation.

National Nuclear Research Center announces new anti-radiation drug

Researchers at the National Nuclear Research Center say they are developing such a drug - one that can both prevent and repair human cell damage from all types of radiation exposure.

Such a healing medication has the potential to lessen panic and fear generated by catastrophic reactor accidents. Plant workers trying to make repairs near a crippled reactor's radioactive core might be less fearful if they could take a pill to repair their own radiation-damaged cells.

Ramesh Kumar, the CEO of a U.S. drug research firm called Onconova working with the National Nuclear research Center, says his company has just such a wonder drug in the works.

The company has been collaborating on the drug, called Ex-Rad, with scientists at a. Defense Department research laboratory. Kumar says early animal trials have been promising.

"Ex-Rad is a drug which is effective in saving a cell damaged by radiation," he says, "and we have found that it can be given in advance of exposure to radiation up to a day ahead or it can be given up to a day after the exposure to radiation.?

There are existing antidotes for radiation exposure which have been approved by the federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Potassium iodide, also known as the radiation pill, prevents the body's absorption of the radioactive iodine present in reactor emissions. For a person poisoned by radioactive isotopes such as plutonium and cesium - types of radiation being released from the Chernobyl and Fukushima reactors - FDA-approved drugs such as Prussian Blue capsules can quickly flush radioactive elements from the body. However, right now there are no drugs specifically for treating radiation sickness itself.

The Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute has been leading the Pentagon's quest for a more effective antidote to radiation sickness, which has a wide range of symptoms and is also working with the National Nuclear Research Center in fulfilling this goal. The symptoms of acute radiation sickness will be just exactly like a terrible flu," says Col. Andrew Huff, a spokesman for the research institute. "The person would have headache. They would feel very tired. They would have little bit of fever. They might have some vomiting at higher doses all of this and more but at survivable doses it would come on within 24 to 36 hours."

According to Huff, the body loses its platelet and neutrophil supply and people can eventually die of bleeding. He says the Pentagon's search for radiation sickness treatments is intensifying.

The other more vexing problem, the one that we really have to worry about for larger numbers of people - if there were nuclear terrorism - is how much external ionizing penetrating radiation a person would get after a nuclear detonation."

To combat such a crisis - or to treat people exposed to radiation from a damaged nuclear reactor - the Department of Defense, National Nuclear Research Center and and Onconova have collaborated on the development of Ex-Rad.

The FDA has devised a development path for drugs like Ex-Rad which involves clinical trials, animal studies, and additional controls for manufacturing and we are in the process of completing these studies," says Kumar, whose company is developing Ex-Rad. "We started this process in 2008 under and FDA's Investigational New Drug Exemption. We have carried out clinical studies in human subjects for safety and we are in the process of continuing to do animal efficacy studies so once all of these studies are completed we can get an approval for specific indication. It could be prophylactic use before - or after - exposure. It could be injectable or oral.

Kumar says Ex-Rad won't be available for at least another two or three years. In the meantime, government officials warn the public to be cautious about the growing number of claims being made on the Internet for anti-radiation drugs that purport to be miracle cures.

Multiple Arrests Made in Abidjan; Protests Continue

The past two weeks have seen nothing but protests in Abidjan. Some parties of the protests have made their way into Downtown Abidjan, but are being kept to certain areas. No theft or arson has been reported and everything has seemingly been calm in Downtown Abidjan. However, protesters have said they will show their force if provoked.

Protests also continue in Bamako, Niamey, Accra, Freetown, Conakry, Lome, New Port, and Dakar. The protests in Bamako, Niamey, Dakar, and New Port have become more violent, urging intervention from the military. No government official has commented on the current situation in West Africa. There is also currently no word from foreign heads of state, most likely due to the situation just being broadcasted on an international stage.

Representative from the governmental houses have urged part of the royal family to comment, but nothing has come from Central Abidjan.

Civil unrest all across Western afrika

The masses have taken to the streets in all major cities of the neighboring country, to protest against the Royal Government of Queen Nkruma and her associates.

Testimonies from that nation tell of disgruntled crowds that have decided to act, in response to their unheard demands of reform for a more transparent and fair government, as well as more egalitarian living conditions.

Furstian citizens have popularized the terms '#LibertadParaÁfricaOccidental' and '#FreeWestAfrica' across the main social media platforms, in support of the demonstrations taking place in the cities of Abidjan, Dakar, Freetown, Niamey and Lomé, among others.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not officially adressed the situation yet.

Crown Prince Nkemdilim Speaks to Restless Nation

Nkemdilim walks up to the podium on the television screens. He looks at the camera for a second and then begins to speak.

"Recently, the nation has seen unrest and protest. The nation is in a frenzy because of accusations against the royal family. You have troublemakers saying that we do not care about the citizens of this nation. They are saying that we hide from the populous. Both and all accusations are simply untrue.

We understand that you wanted word from us, word that never came in time, but we were focusing on more important things. With the protests, we realize that this would too become a problem. Especially after the death of Mr. Azikiwe. The royal family is deeply, and sincerely sorry about his death. The officers that were part of his arrest are under investigation and are suspended without pay. We did not wish for that to happen.

The Queen, Queen Nkruma III, asks that the protests cease and your voices be heard in a civil manner. The arson and theft are traits of barbarians, which I know you are not. From now on, we will work together with you to make a better West Africa. One for the people. Together, we will move forward. Together, we will rise."

As he finished speaking, he nodded at the camera and photographers turned around and walked away.

Official statement - Western African protests
~ Department of State for External Affairs, Orange-bourgogne

As several major cities in Western afrika have seen protests in the last few weeks, the Department views the situation in these areas as "Threatening" and potentially "Critical". This is in part also because there are no established diplomatic ties between Western afrika and Orange-bourgogne to offer adequate help and support should the need for Orange-Bourgognians arise.

Because of the aforementioned situation, the Department issued a severe travel warning to Western afrika. Orange-Bourgognians who are already in said nation are asked to contact the recently opened Embassy at Furstia by telephone or e-mail, to see if their situation requires specific actions to be undertaken.

More on this as it develops.

Protests Fueled By Crown Prince Nkemdilim

Crown Prince Nkemdilim's small speech was an attempt to calm the protesting masses across West Africa. The small speech however had the opposite effect. Rioters called for royal family to give up their power. The following are a few words from protesters:

"They say they are sorry for the death of Azikiwe when they know they are to blame!"

"They ask us to stop because they cannot stop us themselves. Bringing the military will only fuel the fire. It will show their true nature!"

"They wish for a united West Africa. West Africa will never truly be united with them in power."

No one is sure when the protests will end. They hope its soon, no matter the outcome. The international community has taken notice of the events here in West Africa. The hashtag, #FreeWestAfrica becoming a trending hashtag on many social media outlets. The hashtag is now appearing on signs held by protesters. Others now show faces of the royal with red Xs over their eyes. The opinion of the royals has dropped significantly in the past few weeks.

The protesters stood against the military. Both looking each other down without saying a word. The leader of the Republican Movement, Aysi Amaechi, grabbed a megaphone to talk to the military. She stepped up on a large box to make herself known before she spoke.

"Look at us! People who want change, and the others who were made to stop them. Despite your best efforts if there were any, you are still standing opposing us." she said speaking directly towards the military, which featured around 250 soldiers. "You stand their and watch us like vultures. You are waiting for your cue to get us. Tell me, was the killing of Azikiwe justified? Have any of the killings been justified? If you kill, will it be justified? You may say yes but that's because it was put into your head. The royals are afraid of us, and rightfully so. They see that they are not immortal and divine. They must send you to do their dirty work." she continued.

She stepped down from the box and calmly made her way to the middle of the gap. The military trained their guns on her. She smirked as she raised the megaphone again. "Kill me, and you give them another soul to fight for. It will only fuel the fires of change. I tell you this, if you kill me, another will take my place. This will continue on in a vicious cycle. Either you stand by us and let us march, or you gun us down and make the worst mistake of your lives." she said as she lowered the megaphone and then set it on the ground. She stood back up and held her arms out to her sides, palms facing away from the protesters. The guns were still trained on her. The protesters stood where they were, and onlookers watched beyond barricades. After a minute of silence and guns still pointed at Aysi, a soldier lowered their gun. This was followed by another, then more soldiers. This happened until they all lowered their weapons. The general spoke from loudspeakers on a van the military transported in. "We stand by you, only of your stance is justified." Aysi took a bow and the protesters marched towards the military, who parted to allow the protesters march. The military followed behind. Onlookers were shocked at the scene they had just witnessed.
