Loftegen 2 wrote:Lady Zaharra turned as Saul and Holtr approached. They were undoubtedly as aware of her as she was of them. When their eyes met hers she greeted them.

"Your Holiness," she said, curtsying, a slightly mocking smile upon her lips.

If Saul was irked by the mockery, he showed no sign of it, in fact, his radiant smile only widened further as he bowed his head lightly. On the other hand, Holtr's contempt for Zaharra was obvious. From the inside of his helmet, he grit his teeth in anger and eyed his blade's sheath. The longsword remained unresponsive to his gaze, much to his displeasure. The knight humphed, and left Saul and the witch alone, seemingly having lost interest altogether.

"How rude," remarked Saul, shaking his head.

Like what? We have forums and a discord, a regional government that you can take part in, and RMB role play, among other things.

171 days of Treadwellia!

In nine days you'll be almost as good a delegate as I was! :)

Your imaginary friend

I'm really glad to see so much involvement in the ball already. I loved reading the arrival posts! :) And sorry y'all for not being very RPly active today; had a lot of homework to do!

As the sky darkened into evening, GOP left her cabin (to which she had retreated after giving passing greetings to various boarders throughout the day) and headed for an upper deck, empty save for a few guards. She felt terrible about her performance today... The continual pressure of not only needing to be a graceful hostess to the various leaders and those with them but also making sure she was not doing anything to embarrass herself and thus her country in front of them left her feeling squished and very emotionally drained.

"Hopefully everything is in order now..." GOP thought to herself. She didn't think she could deal with the lists and numbers and plans she had been occupying herself with any more tonight, yet at the same time she felt rather shy approaching others on board. Of course she did have the desire to talk with them, but the possibility of being in the presence of people she had learned about in school lessons seemed to have turned the generally undyingly bold girl into someone quite shy.

GOP sucked the fresh sea air in gratefully as she finished her ascent. Looking up she glimpsed a few figures on the highest deck a flight of stairs above her whose voices drifted down to her. "Hmm, I guess this part of the ship wasn't so abandoned after all..." she squinted her eyes indecisively. It might seem rude to not join them...

Leestcheck, Capital of the Imperium
While Imperator Konsul Leo I. is at the Lazball onboard the LC Penelope, a major piece of his domestic legislative agenda passed the Reichstag today, as the lower house of parliament voted in favour of abolishing the total ban on immigration that had so far existed in Leonism. The Imperium is now open to immigrants who possess valuable skills and are willing to integrate themselves within the fabric of Imperial society:

  • Learning the language of the Imperium, Deutsch (German), will be a major requirement for any would-be immigrant. A basic vocabulary is expected upon arrival, and further language skill examinations will take place after six months and one year respectively.

  • To avoid "benefits tourism", immigrants will be excluded from recieving benefits until they have made six months of social security contributions of their own.

  • They will have to pledge allegiance to the Imperium after one year or face deportation. Upon pledging allegiance, they will recieve an Imperial rank and all the benefits that come with it, including a monthly state salary that rises with the rank.

  • After a further year, a final evaluation of the immigrant will take place. Should their language skills and contributions to society prove adequate, they will be granted full Imperial citizenship and treated no different than local-born people. From here on, military service will also be expected of the immigrant, as it is of all able-bodied citizens

  • Bringing one's family into the Imperium will be supported, on condition that all adult family members have to fulfill the same criteria as above, while children will have to fulfill the language criterion from age 6 onward.

LC Penelope
Imperator Konsul Leo I. welcomed the passing of the law in interviews taking place on the LC Penelope today. He furthermore stated that his arrival on the cruise ship - expected to host several dozens of Lazarene leaders and thousands of their staff - was a fantastic experience. He reported to have already had brief conversations with GOP of Your imaginary friend, Lady Zaharra of Loftegen 2 - whom he had previously met in person in her country - and even a short exchange of MMMMPHs with Tubbius of Treadwellia. Furthermore he had seen, but not yet spoken to, Pope Saul XVI of Kappan and had witnessed the arrival of Emperor Kial'Dir IV of Cianlandia in a longboat, another leader he had met on a prior state visit to his country. Furthermore, him getting to his own cabin on the ship had been significantly prolonged by the passing of the entire imperial family of Denado and their retinue.

Leo was expecting more, and more substantial, talks with other leaders today as the event began in ernest.

Guys, I've just been on our Minecraft server for a while and it is really amazing what you have built there. Very impressive! I don't even have diamond gear yet...

The Two Tubbies of Treadwellia are enjoying very full bellies and comfy beds after wobbling out to breakfast and then back to Their room on the Penelope. Well, Tubbius is. Mrs. Tubbius is in the makeshift nursery next door, taking care of the little Tubbiuses.

Your imaginary friend and Mzeusia

Tummies grumble. Tubbians dress in fashionable summer wear: for Tubbius, a white, short-sleeved shirt with candy cane striped suspenders and red shorts and flip-flops; for Mrs. Tubbius, a light MaTubbity gown in pastels. Back to the dining hall to watch cooks and servants tremble!

Captain Srane clapped a hand on the shoulder of the porter standing in front of him. The boy looked a bit like a parrot in green white and gold livery. He held his head high as he swung the bag of letters the Captain had just given him over his shoulder.

"Now dear boy," Srane said speaking in a low voice, "make sure you mention to everyone you deliver these invitations to, all the leaders here, that it's quite an urgent matter that will be discussed at the conference this afternoon; a regional matter of great importance."

The boy nodded, "Yes sir."

"Good good, hurry along then! I have something else for you to do when you get back!"

Lady Zahrra manifested herself in the nursery. As excited squeals erupted from various babies she said, "Hmmp hrmpf hrm?" (Do you need any help?)

Sirakles Tylosis has fun greeting the various other leaders and sampling the various foods and drinks on offer. He has quite been looking forward to the event, although the pressures of a host of domestic issues keep tugging at good mind, keeping himself from fully enjoying himself. A text from his wife cheers him up however, and the video of Lysina playing with a pair of dolls cheers him up. He sends Yvonia a brief reply before turning back to the LC Penelope and her passengers. It would be rude of him to neglect his duties any longer, so he went in search of some company.

After a while he found himself by the railing of the boat. The sea was a calming sight to join, and he breathed in the sea air. The scent brought back memories of canoeing with his family when he was a young boy. As pleasant as it would be to reminisce however, he was not here for that. He glanced once more out to sea, whispered a prayer to Askes, Mzeusism god of the sea, and moved away, following the sounds of chatter. A sea breeze accompanied him as he went, although he hardly noticed.

If you walk from the spawn towards Kappan's estate, is the path to the right the one you mean? Overgrown with vines etc.? That is breathtakingly beautiful!

GOP is has been strolling the decks this morning in the company of GJN, a close friend from home. She walks forward smiling when she notices Sirakles Tylosis walking in their direction.

"Hello! You're Mr. Tylosis of Mzeusia, right? I saw you board earlier but I don't think I got the chance to meet you yet. How are you enjoying the trip so far?"

Sirakles smiled broadly. I'm having a great time thanks. The water out here is quite lovely, and I'm looking forward to discussing things with all the leaders. I hope you had a good sleep last night.
