Horse drawn carriages are waiting for them once they land, their well uniformed drivers seemingly unaffected by the cold.
They board, already deep in conversation. Laughing and joking on a way that would shock their subordinates. The Imperial Knight are completely alert. Each armed with the infamous lightsabers.
Eventually, they stop in front of a large lodge.
"We have arrived at your place of stay."
The driver disembarks and opens the carriage door, offering his hand to Salone.
As they approach the doors, they open. A well groomed man stands just beyond. He gives them a graceful bow and a warm smile, “Welcome to Sparrow’s Rest, our own little slice of paradise. My name is William Kroft. We asked your government to provide us with your measurements, and as such you will find clothes tailored to fit you in your rooms. As Warm Fires is meant to help you relax, military uniforms are not worn inside the walls, apart from rank insignia. The attendants here will show you to your room and personally attend to your needs for the duration of your stay. Enjoy.
They enjoy themselves for a time, waiting for the politics to start.
That night, the first dinner is held inside of a large hall. A band plays as the crowd mingles. The Lord Admiral stands with a few other people in a long red gown, chatting and accepting congratulations.
The convoy reaches the palace. Outside are guards dressed in gray uniforms trimmed with white. Just as the limousine stops, the main door opens. There he is met by a Conexumite Official in business attire. He waits there as the admiral opens the door and disembarks, waiting for the ambassador to follow suit.
The Imperials walk in with their Knight escorts. All dressed in their ceremonial military uniforms.
He exits, along with his four stormtrooper escort.
Aurora spots them and makes her way over, flanked by Admiral Crowley and a man wearing a bonze colored mask. Looking around, there are dozens of men and women wearing the masks, and they seem to be guards based on how they are acting and moving.
The Official introduces himself to the Ambassador. "Good Day, Sir. Councilor Rex, i'll bring you to the meeting hall.", he says, reaching out for a handshake.
The Imperials notice and wait for their arrival. Kane stands in the forefront of the group.
He smiles. He walks the ambassador into the palace, which is one of multiple buildings in One Street, the royal district. This specific building belonged to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. "You will be meeting Minister Addington, of the Foreign Affairs. Right this way", he says as he gestures to a room. No windows, but with surveillance equipment covering the whole room. The table in the middle had a LED Screen on it, for meeting purposes it seems. On the end of the seat was the Minister. He stands up to give respects to the guest, and points at a seat to his right. "Pleasant to finally see you", he said with a warm smile.
"Please, have a seat", he said as he sat down himself. "So, the recent threats with the LMI have been quite... alarming. I assume you know by this point", he chuckles. "You will be please to know that we will assist you with your domain in this region. The King is willing to work with those who will bring peace and unity to the region."
“Indeed. The Emperor respects your Kingdoms sovereignty. And we wish to assist your country in dealing with the LMI. You are correct to say that our ultimate goal is to bring peace and unity to the region. To that end, I am glad to hear your willing to work with us.”
She extends her hand to Kane, "Greetings, and welcome. I am Lord Admiral Aurora Maddox." She gestures to the woman at her side, "This is Admiral Abigale Crowley, my first officer." And then to the man with the mask, "And this is my head of security, George Bennet."
I'm revising my main factbook, what country should have colonized Jute in the past?
Kane shakes her hand with a grin. “I am Supreme Commander Kane, the leader of the Empires efforts in the RIA.” He introduces the rest. The Knights stand firmly around them.
