I've never understood why baseball games are played mid-afternoon on a Tuesday.

I think the Yankees-Astros game might've been rescheduled to this time because of the weather. Baseball games get played in the afternoon a lot because of time constraints and travel. If a team plays an afternoon game, it's likely they're traveling that night. There's 162 games in the season (and more in the postseason) for all the teams. They can't all be in prime time.

I get regular season, but I don't get postseason.
I don't think the game got rescheduled, at least first pitch was at 3:09ct since Saturday. Maybe it's to sell more tickets to sponsers.

The MLB isn’t going to split viewers between two simultaneous broadcasts. Less viewers on one broadcast means lower revenue from advertisements.
