1. There is no draft. We have every able bodied vulpine serve at least six months in the Armed Forces. They can choose which branch and how they serve, but not always where they serve.

2. Of course! They have the same rights as everyone.

3. We....prefer to keep our newest findings secret. The core of our engine is still only a prototype. For our current set, we have a special isotope that powers a turbine to create power. We also use green energy like wind farms and solar. Being animals in a sense, we do indeed try to respect nature.

4. Hmmm.... To put it simply, it's a mix of monarchy, communism, and ironically some democracy.

5. We don't have any political parties as voting for the Government is usually based on public opinion. The Leader is the more monarchy part... Family only, unless specifically chosen. We feel the whole Democrat vs Republican thing the United States is doing is....silly, to say the least.

6. I.... Will have to look into that. Never heard of it.... Although, our citizens will help law enforcement if need be.

7. Absolutely NOT. The Order of the Golden Fox is tolerant to ALL religions. Someone is in need, so we shall treat them....unless they are from an enemy state...then we shall treat them while having law enforcement present at all times.

8. Same as the United States, except everyone is guaranteed a fair trial. If imprisoned, you get a trial monthly or yearly depending on the crimes and behavior in incarceration.

Same answer as when you asked the same question 3 years ago: yes. It wasn't originally but it wound up that way.

Sorry. Sometimes I have the memory of a goldfish. I can recite word for word a movie I watched as a child but can't remember what someone told me a couple of days ago.

RegionTimeline!Kalaron has no draft since their foreign policy always revolved around getting others too invested for an attack to be profitable, and because Kalaron leverages it's technology over fleshy bodies when it comes to war.

Kalaronians tend to be outcome focused over things like "tradition" and the like, if your blood passes viral checks then they'll take it happily regardless of who you intend to bed.

RT!Kalaron uses mostly VHT Reactors, with a battery system backed by renewables. Post-Shattering!Kalaron uses r e a c t o r s for almost everything because it's cheaper and more mass efficient. Only the least militarized of Orbital Policing Vessels, and a number of civilian craft, rely on Solar Panels instead (especially since our star puts out less light, making it an even worse idea for long voyages than it already is).

I never actually worked out a real system of Governance for RT!Kalaron, but PS!Kalaron is essentially a collection of colonies spread widely across the Solar System with very little order to it. Since the actual nation (and the rest of the planet) got beat into a fine brown pulp, the Colonies operate as one of two loosely joined confederations with little lost love for each other. Only the old Bootstrap Factories (Old, pre-seeded factories that were sent up before Kalaron figured out the Berserker was in-system) really keep the peace with their AI, since they deplore violence and just want the silly organics to rebuild what they had.

Now it's time to answer my own questions:

1. No there is not but you can volunteer for military service. Unless we are in a state of defence were all able bodied men and women between 18 and 55 can be drafted not only into military services but also civil protection like ambulance service, fire brigades, hospitals, air-raid wardens, auxiliary police and so on.

2. Every person being at least 18 years old can donate blood if they are healthy and have no medical conditions that contradict a donation. Pregnant persons are excluded because of their own safety.

3. Hydroelectric, solar and geothermal energy plus one experimental fusion reactor.

4. The head of state is the monarch, currently King Elijah II of the House of Forsberg. His duties are mainly of ceremonial and representative nature. But he can veto a law if he thinks it's unconstitutional. The monarch is ceremonial commander in chief of the Penguanian Defence Forces. He formally appoints the Lord Protector (head of gov) and the ministers. The Lord Protector is elected by the Reichstag (diet of the realm). The ministers are appointed by the Lord Protector. The Reichstag is one of the two house of the parliament. It consists of 517 members and is elected every 5 years by the people. The Reichstagspräsident (president of the Reichstag) presides over the sessions of the Reichstag. He is elected by all members of the Reichstag. The presidents terms are congruent with the legislative terms. In the order of precedence they come second right after the monarch. The second house is the Reichsrat (council of the realm). It represents the interests of the several federal states in the kingdom during the legislative process. The Reichsrat is not elected. Each state has 2 to 6 representatives depending on their population and the state governments determine who is part of the representatives. All heads of government of the federal state are automatically members of the Reichsrat. The Reichsrat is lead by the Reichsratspräsident (president of the Reichsrat). The Reichstags president is 'elected' every year by the members of the Reichsrat. It's tradition that the office rotates among the heads of governments of the states in a regular pattern. So the election is just a formality. So at any time one state's head of government is also Reichsratspräsident. They preside over the sessions of the Reichsrat. In case the monarch is not able to execute their duties because of illness or being abroad the Reichsratspräsident is taking on those responsibility.

5. Yes. There are more than 30 parties in Penguania and Antarctica. However in the Reichstag there are only 7 parties which are the following:
Sozialdemokratische Partei Penguanias / Social Democratic Party of Penguania
Vereinigung der demokratischen Liberalen / Association of Democratic Liberals
Christlich Demokratische Union Antarktikas / Christian Democratic Union of Anatarctica
Nationalpatriotische Liga / National Patriotic League
Partei des Modernen Sozialismus / Party of Modern Socialism
Grüne Ökosoziale Partei / Green Eco-Social Party
Humanistische Allianz des Fortschritts / Humanist Alliance of Progress

6. Yes, every person is obliged to assist people in distress to the best of one's knowledge and belief. Calling emergency services and wait for their arrival is sufficent enough if one is not able to assist in other forms. Failure to do so is a criminal offence punishable with up to one year of imprisonment or a fine. Obstructing people who render assistent incurs the same penalties.

7. They can if the job requires theological knowledge for that job. Otherwise no.

8. Trial by professional judge and 2 lay judges in most cases. Sever cases have 3 professional judges and 2 lay judges. Higher courts have a panel of 5 to 7 professional judges depending on the crime and the specific court.

i am starting to wonder how the hell is 1 supposed to pull of world conquest in Warband, day 430 and we are fighting another 3 front war, Khanta, Sultanate and Rhodocks are invading our lands once more, even though in game month back i destroyed 800 invasion army of rhodocks after several battles and last standing a castle. At least the Khanate is nearing its death, with its last holding being Tulga. Just 1 hour ago since i am writing this i held off 1K army of the Sultanate assaulting Narra. Right after that battle Rhodocks peace out nords and attack us.
This is insane.

It's definitely insane to say the least.... That's why I play Bannerlord. There's a mod that allows you to immediately declare war or peace. So instead of a 3v1, we simply destroy one faction at a time.

i mean if AI wasn't retarded and let me be the Marshall of Vaegirs we would have crushed Khanate permanently the last time, or even pushed back the Rhodocks who still occupy Uxhal after the last war. During this whole campaign i was marshal only once and took over half of Khanate but for some reason AI decided nah you are no longer the marshal, lets lose the city you bothered to capture to the Khana so you have to throw your army at the walls 2 more times and fight 7 200 men armies just to hold on to them while we screw off somewhere to Reyvadin and Khudan :p

by the time you return home i will be watching either Rhodock or Saranid Dhirim :p

also question to others and russkov who play/played warband, is it just me or is the Khergit Khanate incredibly weak faction? I mean its one thing to beat enemy that has 4 times your numbers, but i killed over 400 Khergits in a single battle, with 110 men, my losses? 5.... and about 3 of them were only wounded. And i was fighting on the plains where the Khergits get to use their cavalry spam army :p

(my army was about 50/50% made from Mercenary Cavalry and Vaegir Elite Light Cavalry Knights (if i remember correctly they are just called Vaegir Knights)

Hmmm.... It depends on the city you start with and who you ally yourself with. When I started with the Nords at Sargot, the Swadians were weak but the Khergits were destroying us. Later... I tried a new game starting in Praveen, but I joined the Vagirs instead. We were weak, the Nords were killing us and the Swadians collapsed in a month. -shrugs- You never know what you're gonna get

Banana and Covfefe please.

>Laura Dern
I don't know her, lol.

>Krakatoa Eruption
Well, I don't have all the details right now, but it's always amazed be to consider the amount of energy that goes into the daily activities of planets and stars. I've said it before, but a Fast Blue Transient is an event where a star violently sh!ts out up to 20% of our mass as relativistic jets and bursts of energy. Whether you're an Astrophysics or Weaponry nerd makes no difference, that's fjcking cool.

>Nihilism V Absurdism
I've grappled with them both, and I can say that Absurdism isn't a different thing so much as an outgrowth of Nihilism. "Pure" Nihilism is so rare because it's hard to put it into action, if there's no meaning at all (even personal reason) then there's no reason to eat food that makes you happy over some sawdust that you found on the ground. I'd argue, then, that Nihilism is mostly a transitory phase to things like Absurdism since it adds a "but" to the original argument of Nihilism.
Really the IQ-240 move is to embrace being absurd so much that you gradually lose bits of your own wits like Roland. Or you can just believe in the Orbiting Berserker like I do, owo.

>Military Industrial Complex
Ostensibly none.
The US has a long standing urge to pull a hot-take out of it's butt, dismantle it's MIC, and then Just In Time (Tm) surge money back in to create a good industrial base before the war ends and fifteen years pass. After that, the Hot Take Urge takes over again and we return to being as little prepared as possible.
The issue is that this thinking is so old it's actually become akin to a foundation for how we view most frankly vital industries. COVID, for instance, strained what little PPE we had left, and despite the clamoring to use the Defense Production Act (Signed in 1950) there was difficulty in surging the amount we had because the industry for it was a part of the MIC and got defunded just like it in the most recent version of the cycle.

Another issue is that having a big MIC isn't actually a real problem. The problem is what happens when specific companies get too big for their britches. If you have seventeen different companies capable of producing fighter jets, you still have to be wary of corruption but can generally trust that the companies will perform their job fairly competently (if only because peeving the Government off means less contracts in the future. When we defunded the MIC for the Peace Dividend...that just killed 90% of the companies we had and let the remaining ten percent absorb their broken shells. This meant that we had practically one company per production role (Lockheed makes Fighters, Boeing makes transports, BAE makes....etc) with obvious deficiencies since they're led by Business Majors who'd prefer to cut slack from things like "Supply Quality" over "Managerial Incompetence". They also, of course, experience the full brunt of whatever funding surge we send thereafter, making them reliant on large contracts, which leads to the usual "MICs are bad for peace!" arguments.

Finally, space travel was probably only possible because of the US and Russia throwing sh!tfits at each other, and as someone who hopes to one day leave this cursed planet, that's important.

TL;DR if you want to fix the MIC replace the leadership with a higher mix of Engineers to BMs, break up some of the assets of the Biggly Companies, and keep funding the little ones you produce. You'd have to actually stand them up at first and it won't be cheap, but we won't have a rotting industrial base either.
E: Oh and very carefully avoid the Hot Take Urge.

so god of RNG :p

in my campaign i started in the lands of Vaegirs and joined them, the only real enemy i found are Nords which decimate my AI comrades and the Rhodocks, since rhodocks have a ton of veterans with anti-armor weapons (i fight head on in melee with +50 swadian heavy body armor) and because we share only 1 common border with Rhodocks they usually stay together so i can't pick them off 1 by 1.

Ironically the way i learned that cavalry is incredibly overpowered is thanks to how i started the game. I recruited some common peasant bois and went around killing raiders/rebels etc. I ran out of money and was in debt in the first week of the game. So i decided to abandon all morality, and honour and burned down half of Nordic villages as i found out that they have TONS of red velvet and silk, so i was cassually before becoming a vassal of Vaegirs running around with army of 80 Elite Mercenaries and good 20K denars to spare :p

I was quite lucky with the amount of cav dudes i had and noticed that they decimate enemies, after that i focused on making my army 100% cavalry only. Day 450 and i have more renown then our King XD plus i own Narra and Halmar so 12K denars per week :]

1 odd thing tho i noticed, not sure if i am just lucky or this is normal. The AI seems to love declaring its vassals as traitors and banishing them to other Kingdoms. In 1 week i saw about 10 people get thrown out of their respective kingdoms. In a single week.
