I find that to avoid prolonged attention from them, simply be as nerdy as possible and describe many a massacre until they, extremely concerned about your sanity, gtfo of your sight.

The Germanicus as a act of spite flies the Kilkirean Flag and sends the message "I am Kilkirean" right before its missiles would hit the Levantin Navy. The Germanicus prepares a load of Cruise Missiles Next.
