I don't think so. I am the Great Library. I am all of its stacks.

That's questionable.

Huh?

*fiddles with her vortex manipulator*

No need for that, you've already been saved.

Saved from what?

So, I'm just assuming the Vasta Nerda ate y'all

You assumed, and you know what that does. :P

It gets me exterminated, but I regenerate every time.

How's the library doing? Are the Vashta Nerada contained?

Last seen, the Vashta Nerada were in The Library

OK, heading there soon.

Hello from the Worldly Debate Region! Thank you for establishing embassies with us, we hope to build and maintain a long lasting and friendly relationship with you guys! :)

NEW DEBATE/POLL FROM THE WORLDLY DEBATE REGION.

This is week one of our three-part debate series on Globalization. There are three kinds of Globalization:

Political Globalization- the heightening of influence nations can have over the domestic policies of other nations, like the UN or NAFTA or NATO.

Social Globalization- the spreading of ideas, through literature and music and culture to other countries.

Economic Globalization- the spreading of goods, services, labor, and capital to other countries.

The line between them can be gray, but we're asking everyone to stay on the topic of specifically POLITICAL Globalization this week, so if you have any questions about distinctions, just let us know in the RMB and we'll answer them! :)

Don't forget to vote! And don't forget to bicker! ;)

Don't mean to double post, but come on over if anyone's interested! :)

This is week two of our three-part debate series on Globalization. this week we're debating Social Globalization. Social Globalization is the spreading of ideas, through literature, music, culture, etc to other countries.

Some view it positively, looking at the ever expanding array of books, music, and art as a good thing. Others view it negatively, viewing it a loss to one's national culture.

What do you think? Come to the Worldly Debate Region to vote and post to your heart's content. Good luck!

This is the last week of our three-part debate series on Globalization. This week we're debating Economic Globalization. Economic Globalization is the spreading of goods/services, labour, and capital to other countries.

Some view it positively, seeing it as a war deterent. a way to lower prices, among other things. Others view it negatively, seeing it as becoming economically dependent on other countries, a detriment to the health of workers, among other things.

What do you think? Come to the Worldly Debate Region to vote and post to your heart's content. Good luckworldly debate region

This week in Worldly Debate Region, we're debating foreign aid. This is a topic typically steeped in heavy support and mild dissent. Foreign aid will be broken into two parts: humanitarian aid (food, water, shelter, etc) and financial aid (funding to be used at the receiving governments discretion or for specific projects).

Should YOUR country help impoverished countries? Do these forms of aid BENEFIT the countries that receive them anyway? In the RMB, feel free to specify the conditions you would impose on countries receiving aid, different ways to help other countries, etc.

Let the bickering begin!

Hey you guys!
We're discussing

Obamacare, Medicare, and Medicaid. Some people support these programs without question. Others are skeptical, and would completely privatize them. What are your thoughts? What should tax payers value? Are there better alternatives?
At the very least, please vote here in the Worldly Debate Region. But remember, 9/10 doctors (from Marxist Debater anyway) recommend posting in another region's RMB to starve off scurvy. So make sure you do.
Feel free to join us! :)

Greetings!
There's a new poll in Truth. Vote if you want! (And see how others voted after 3 days.)

The poll is called: Dividing up the slice of pie

Question :: Do you think that the world should be divided by means of a vertical line (ie, by race/religious divisions) or with a horizontal line (ie, by class divisions)? -- And, why you think it is better to divide it that way?

Peaceful place you have here ... and amazingly comprehensive.

We were honoured to have such a distinguished traveler stop by the Library. Yes it is peaceful, the Vashta Nerada have taken over the Library and you were lucky to escape unscathed.

Bonne Chance in your travels.

Speaking in a whisper: Greetings, I am happy to have arrived here. I wish to present my Diplomatic Credentials. I am the Goodwill Ambassador-At-Large from the SECFanatics Region, and Ambassador from The Great Universe. I will be paying a courtesy visit to The Great Library in the hopes of increasing friendship between our great Regions. While I sojourn here, please do not hesitate to advise me of any areas which may be improved in our relations with The Great Library Region. It is a pleasure to be here. I look forward to a productive visit.

Welcome to the Library, Mr. Ambassador, I am happy to see you here. Have a seat and punch up any books that you would like to peruse during your visit on the terminal to your left and there is coffee and tea at the counter behind you. But one thing, for your safety, be sure to count the shadows as there are Vashta Nerada about the stacks, somewhere.

Thank you for your welcome and your offer of refreshments. I look forward to the wonders contained in your Library. But please tell me a little more concern the Vashta Nerada. Are they magical creatures?

Never mind. I just looked up the information in the Library. This is very strange. I was recently in The Doctor Who Universe on a diplomatic mission and encountered nothing like them at all!

If it is not too presumptuous of me to ask, what is the relation of The Library to this Region?

Greetings, TAO! You always seem to have arrived at a Region ahead of me!
