I'm against banning it, though I do agree with the general idea that everyone should be more careful with their online data. Especially children, who should be trained in information security and literacy from a young age.

Also, anyone who wants to be mentioned as coming from the same world as Kalaron (to provide a partial link back to old RP history and to tie into my history) just has to send me a message. The state of affairs so far is that NS-World got blown up by a Berserker. Kalaron, for it's part, gave a hard middle finger to this and deployed a few fleets of Orion once the Berserker left for more lively pastures. The Orion's help to turn our far-flung colonies into something approaching livability as the old Kalaronian state suffers an existence-failure. Practically their last action now before splitting into the Emergency Military Coalition and the Republic of Kalaronian States was the transfer of a few Orions for use by Andy's people on their diaspora. Y'all can have some orbital space too, or leave like Andu does. If y'all want, we can even rediscover each other eventually. (My bullshit way of justifying a diaspora involves prototypes of an anti-matter initiated jump drive, so if you plan on leaving somewhere particularly fast rather than using a Generational Ship, I could write it in that we gave you one of our old scavenged prototypes)
Just know that it'd be a lot less safe than a usual drive, being a prototype and all...and being scavenged from the broken ruins of the base that was developing it...and then left to rust for ten years or so...with the AM in there >.>
