We currently have a Constitutional Convention going on, which could result in a radically different government, so I think now is a good time to ask the question.

Better be a good one!

The united provinces of north america wrote:That's very true. I am not sure if he's trolling or not, "European women are the best" Clicktopia: That's racist. I wonder how that's racist? Merely a opinion. I could say I like Native American women am I a racist? No, just saying my taste in women. It also makes it harder to know his views on serious racism. Like I said by his logic " That 1/17th Native American Excuse." Could be called racist, but he won't admit that it's racist. I have seen tons of people call a channel on YouTube a Uncle Tom, for not being political correct. That tells you something right there. If someone like that can say "That 1/17th Native American Excuse." is someone who says racial slurs, even to call Chinese "Chinamen" for the Oriental population in Australia.

I apologise if the humour was lost on you.
I am a right-wing Conservative and economic liberal. I want the UK to move away from the Maoists of the European Dream and trade with the world again.

The problem is there are some neo-Nazis and identitarians who are also right-wing Eurosceptics and are often misrepresented by many on the left to make them seem close to us. They are further from us than the centre-left are. They want the "European countries" which they perceive to have a common identity to unite to battle the migrant crisis and the "Islam problem".

We, on the other hand, promote religious freedom and would like more mosques, churches and synagogues built and more people to attend them. We would like more economic immigration to the UK, but less of them to settle permanently.

Any attempt to paint all Europeans as the same is a racist, Maoist propaganda tool to further the cause of the European project.

Well that is certainly a relief. You had me worried you were a SJW for a second cos you didn't say you were joking.

Obviously, not all Europeans are the same but I don't think it is racist, for example, Canadians and Americans, if you called them the same it isn't racist.

Then we'll agree to disagree :-)
Also, a large part of British humour is the subtle nature of the jokes. It kind of ruins it if you say what's implied. I know this concept is strange in other parts of the world, but that's the beauty of it.

Ps. At least Canadians and Americans speak the same language and share some customs and history. We literally have nothing in common with the continental people.

Europe is diverse but we have still so much in common that it is justified to speak of a European identity. The European Union is the best idea we had. I know, it is not perfect but we can improve it. If the UK likes to leave it is their own fault.

"We literally have nothing in common with the continental people." That's what nationalists and Brexit-Hardliners want you to believe. Don't forget where the Anglo-Saxons came from, don't forget where the Normans came from, don't forget on what your language is based of and don't forget where Christianity came from.

Christianity and Islam both came from Judaism which came from Israel.

But Judaism arose from even more ancient Jewish religions, where besides Yahweh there were other gods. These beliefs came from even older versions of paganism that appeared when primitive people tried to explain the phenomena of nature.

There is no sense in any national and religious difference, because we all have common roots. Any national prejudices do not constitute even a thousandth of what unites us, and we should still think based on this, and not try to prove an advantage on the basis of some signs and variations of a single human identity.

There is no proof to support this theory.

In 1066 when my ancestors left France and came to Britain, they left Europe and they forged a new identity, a new set of ideas, a new culture and a new nation. I accept that we should work together for the common good, however we should not compromise our seperate identities and our different ways for the sake of some ridiculous notion that because our forefathers spoke the same language one thousand years ago we should be part of some superstate.

1066 was not the first time they came to Britain the vikingars split into three groups first which came to england and formed the Anglo Saxon kingdom of england whose first king was aethelstan second were the people led by Rollo who became the Normans (northman in French tongue) and the third who stayed in Scandinavia

From an outsider opinion, Brexit is going to screw over Britain whichever way it goes, and the EU is only getting screwed if it leaves.

You forget the UK didn't want to enter European affairs. Also the EU did pass Article 13, that's censorship.

OOC: No, that's going corporatist. Article 13 prohibits the use of copyrighted material, except for satirical purposes.
