"It doesn't matter," Lady Zaharra said. "Now what about this bill regrading mine safety?"
James was stupified that the Lady even heard of the bill, let alone cared about it.

I just found more old history. This was when the NTA aligned itself with ICE. Later on, the leadership got old, tired, and busy; and so a new leadership was selected.
I was selected as second in command and was very happy to be so, working with new players, keeping the operations running.
Then the first in command, who was almost never active, ejected me, saying I was never elected (He wasn't either). Naturally, without anyone to keep the day to day operations running smoothly, and with so many people having quit, the whole thing fell apart into dust.

The trash planet of the Skall.
Centuries ago the empire of Vedan had spread out across 17 solar systems when it began having a problem with space piracy. The trade routes running between the wealthy diamond mining system of Valmog and the empires capitol ran right through the Shinnigar system, home to a sentient race of primitives called the Skall, who's home planet was considered toxic to all forms of life from Vedan. And therefore worthy of being left alone to study. The Vedanians had underestimated the intelligence of the Skall who soon became aware that they were being observed by a outside race, they tried to contact the empire several times but each attempt was promptly ignored by Vedan. Eventually the Skall grew angry with being ignored and coveted the superior technology of the Vedanians. This was eventually noticed by a Vedanian criminal organization who illegally sold cheap, outdated, spaceships to the Skall for a exorbitant amount of precious metals. The Skall used these ships to destroy Vedans observation post and began plundering all traffic passing through the system greatly enhancing there wealth and technological prowess, At least for a time that is. Emperor Krall Guana was furious when he heard the news that the primitives had evolved into space pirates and sent a armada to stop them. The Krall had mistakenly believed that the ships they had purchased were top of the line models, capable of taking the Vedanians head on. They would soon find out that this was not the case. The small lost there entire armada in the aftermath of there civilizations first true space battle. Emperor Krall was completely uninterested in the Skall's toxic homeland, and had no intentions of adding it to his empire. Instead he came up with a unique punishment for the Skall. "If they want our stuff so much we will give it to them!" He announced in his victory speech "From now on all trash from the inner planets shall be collected and then dumped onto the Skall homeworld. Soon they will have there fill of Vedanian technology, like single use plastics and used diapers." And thus the core worlds of the empire became free of pollution, and the Skall had finally learned there place in the galaxy.

People of Fluffiness, people of Lazarus. I am deeply saddened to inform you that the situation in the Southern Seas has evolved to a true war, with reports of a massive naval engagement being currently confirmed. Fluffiness has no interest in war, the accumulation of death, destruction and sorrow.
We are asking leaders of the nations currently fighting to cease fire immediately. Sirakles Tylosis, leader of Mzeusia has offered to hold diplomatic talks, and Fluffiness offers its assistance for peace. We wish to state again our promise of neutrality in the conflict.
I hope we can deescalate the current war.
"All right then. Let's get a move on. Alice is probably going to reinforce the guns so we need to take them quickly." The man turned to the other marines. "All right lets go men." The soldiers saluted then began marching.

"We might, each and severally, enter the lists and let God decide," the Empress suggested.
Leo peered at her. "You're not actually suggesting that I fight someone young enough to be my daughter, my granddaughter," Leo observed. "But a judicial duel?"
The Empress nodded, and smiled. "My champion against yours. If yours wins, I seek a different path south. If mine wins, you grant my army peaceful passage through your lands."
"Agreed," King Leo said.
Toth looked at his Empress. "That is not champion, that is woman!"
On the other side of the lists King Leo had brought forth a tall (6 feet!) blonde woman, who was clearly skilled in arms.
The Empress put her hand on Toth's shoulder. "If she steps across those ropes, she isn't a woman, she's a warrior. You don't have to kill her, just beat her."
Toth looked across the way, "Toth understand," he said.
"Lissa, are you ready?" King Leo asked.
Lissa was staring across the lists at the Empress's champion. "As ready as I can be, my king."
"Can you beat him?" Leo asked.
"Can I?" Lissa replied. "Maybe. Will I? That remains to be seen."
With that, Lissa stepped across the ropes, into the lists.

Lissa, her fists wrapped in bandages, answered, "I am bound by honor and my king. I cannot yield while I stand on my feet."
"Toth understand," Toth said, nodding.

"Thank you," Lissa said, her other efforts having failed to make any impression on the giant she faced.
"But at end of day, you are cruiser trying to fight battleship. Can only end one way," Toth said, right before his fist smashed into Lissa's skull and laid her out cold.

"Do you yield?" Toth asked, standing over Lissa's limp body. "Do you yield?" he repeated. When no answer was had, Toth raised his eyes to the Empress and King Leo. "Since this champion appears unable to speak for herself, I declare her vanquished."
King Leo bowed his head. "Open the gates," he said.
"Doctor! Hurry!" were the next two words Toth spoke.
