You don't really see such a quirky Spiderman nowadays. It sucks that he's leaving the MCU, honestly.
I blame both companies, tbh. Sony wanted to make more money and wasn't willing to back down. But Disney was also chasing after the money as well. In the end, both sides stood their ground and fractured the MCU a little. While Disney instigated it, both are at fault here.
Honestly though, with Sony possibly hiring people to scan videos for three seconds of copyrighted songs, is it any wonder that they aren't willing to back down on the money?
Nope. It's 100% Sony's fault. Sony was the one who wouldn't back down on the prospect itself. 50-50 would have earned BOTH sides a lot of money. Not to mention that Sony didn't try to make a counter-offer. They just straight up refused.
