So...I just made it illegal to refuse to serve gay customers at restaurants. This caused my nation's social conservatism to increase by 1.2%.

What.

Like...I get that statistical calculations don't always make sense at face value. I get that there's knock-on effects that can be significant and distant. But this is even worse than "lowering taxes caused taxes to increase." If something that explicitly and directly contradicts a particular characteristic can cause that characteristic to increase, how on Earth are we supposed to have any notion of what effects our choices will have???

I dont completely agree with that outcome either but you can kind of justify it since You (As a state) impose a moral value (Businesses have to serve everyone) on your population (they dont get to decide for themselves anymore)
