Kachee, officially the Sultanate of Kachee, is an island country in the Southern Sea region, located north of mainland Charbagnia.
TBD everything like Crete except for flora and fauna to be like Buru island
The recorded history of the island dates back to 11th Century when dissidents in the Khas-Kirat Empire were marooned here. The exiles came in contact with Muslim traders (from TBD) and established a sultanate under Mohammed Yonghang. The sultanate's relationship with the Khas-Kirat Empire always in fluctuation. At times, it was considered a hangate of the imperial federation while constantly under invasion (especially holy wars) by other hangates that sought to control the Southern Sea trade. The various defensive wars it fought against other hangates and various foreign powers (especially holy wars) made the sultanate isolationist.
In 1772, Richard McGwynith of the Noronican East Sea Company took an exploratory voyage to Southern Sea. Upon the discovery of Kachee and knowing that the sultanate had parted ways with the Khas-Kirat Empire, he claimed it for the Noronnican Empire and paved the way for a colony to be set up. The island's small population was unable to repel the waves of Noronnicans that settled on the island.
