Greatunion of soviet socialist republics

Remember the battle of khalkin gol? If you do you'll know how any Japanese invasion would end, the older Soviet tanks (like t2) were useless against the germans so they could just have been used against the Japanese which lacked the resources and infrastructure to make those kinds of weapons. It would also be good to remember that the Soviet Union had between 18000-24000 tanks which was more than the rest of the world.

With the logistical nightmare that was their pacific conflict and an obvious american victory the Japanese wouldn't have ever been able to make any headway, their congruent weakness on land which gave them superiority on sea would have just quickened their fall and permanent relegation to a nation that will never be a threat to anyone ever again (like ot is today).

The end result would have been an Ainu ASSR in hokkaido with the preemptive strike against the architectural blandness of Asahikawa and Sapporo, with a probable Nowa Huta type planned city with immaculate architecture. Also no creeping american subs in the sea of japan/east sea.
