I wasn’t improving no matter how hard I practiced, the other girls on the team were (as adolescent brats do) harassing me for sucking so bad, and I was far from being the coaches priority. (Even in practice I rode the bench nonstop which was eyebrow raising.)

I decided with a level head softball just wasn’t my sport and I wanted to quit the team because I wasn’t making any improvement over weeks and weeks and had honestly grown to hate going to practice every afternoon. I told my dad and he refused and every time I’d make a point or argument he’d give me this “If you quit the team then you’ll be a quitter all your life.”

... I mean is there any sort of base evidence or logic at all to support that ??

are you currently a quitter?
