this reminds me, on an unrelated note, Peng you are german right? I was wondering what "Swabia" means, in google it said that in German its "Schwaben" but then it only said that it means Swabia nothing more.
The reason i am asking is that in Czech we call Swabia "Švábsko" and the word "Šváb" means cockroach.
And the second reason i am asking is because i was reading for fun yesterday for a bit about Frederick the 1st Barbarossa and learned that he was born in Swabia. So i just wanted clarification from native german speaker if its just a coincidence or if it does actually have some relation to cockroaches :p

news from the mount and blade front. Finally AI decided to change our marshall, with some luck i was elected. The result? Tulga last stronghold of the Khanate fell to us, eliminating the Khanate. about a single in game week later i took Suno and 1 more week later i alone took 3 swadian castles and launched campaign for Praven. Killing Swadia.
Now of all times the Rhodocks decided to start another war with us, and we repealed their invasion and will soon march upon Jelka. Ironically enough after i beaten the Sultanate at Narra they didnt bother us at all even though we are still at war. Nord's casually meanwhile stare at us conquering the world.
I believe that by in game day 600 perhaps both Sultanate and Rhodocks will cease to exist. Unless Nord's decide to attack us.

I took veluca before becoming marshal because 1 of the Rhodock counts defected to the Sultanate few days after we made peace with Rhodocks so free city for the taking.

After some practice i learned how to demolish the Rhodocks as well, even when attacking them in castles outnumbered 3 to 1. The only problem that remains are the Swadians and their OP cavalry :p good thing their AI doesn't spam them that much.
Unfortunately i ran into 1 problem nearly said day 500 (unless it has already passed) i have 80K denars in reserve and nothing to spend it on.

i thought we had only the non-aggression pact, which we do intend to break in a year and few months.
In other news after 6 hours irl, and 2 weeks of in game time i have conquered the entire Sultanate. Somehow we are still at peace. Even though i took over 7 of their castles and all 4 of their cities losing about 40-60 men total. So i called this war that wasn't even a war the "peaceful crusade" or "peaceful invasion"
Ironically enough i took only 3 point hit to relations with King Yarolek (or whatever his name is, king of vaegirs)
Rhodocks for whatever reason are still alive without land, having 7 lords and fighting a guerrilla war against us.
We didn't have a true agreement, but after we won the war... I had some ships bring home wounded soldiers and POW's. Those same ships would occasionally stop by and offload various things like salt, grain, metal, and miscellaneous items. This was purely out of goodwill. I've since ordered all maritime shipping to cease stopping at your ports since you are committed to self sustainability.
Ah yes.... King Yaroglek. I never really liked him. And you better go capture or kill those Lords... Or wait till they join another faction in a month.

the 7 are odd case, as half of them join rhodocks after they are kicked out of the other 2 factions since you know, there is not enough land for anyone considering everyone has rivals :p
also, what do you mean by you won the war? You never reached our land, so i would call it a draw. And we still technically enforced some demands upon you in the baltics, the greater autonomy and ability to spread our faith there :]

I see... Yaroglek and I were the opposite in my playthroughs. He'd always beeline for my castle as soon as I took it, regardless of which faction we were at war with.
While we didn't reach your land, you never reached Moscow.....so you are correct in it would be considered a draw. Although by a slight technicality, since you were forced to leave my territory after invading, I am the victor in a way. Hmmm..... Its not really grand enough to consider an actual victory, but for the sake of the families who lost loved ones in the conflict, I propagandize and embellish it some.

If we fought a land war and we didnt need to use our navy Moscow rush would have ended differently, but i let this insignificant conflict slide. For the next war we learned, before we can invade Russia we need to conquer Europe. Seems simple enough.
After all, the world revolution won't be complete unless we liberate the backwards democratic commie horses of Mother Russia :]
Although i do admit that it makes me kind of sad, my last remaining enemy will be my last friend as well :[ still it will be quite poetic to liberate the motherland of the original revolution as the last place of the reactionary forces of the world.

after half an hour i finally finished writing basics on the state ideology of spanelsko and its overall goals. Probably gonna expand later on a bit more.
Now your thinking.... And I do have to disappoint you. The last Equestrian citizen just received their dose of VXN-8 and will become Vulpine, or as you put it.. a backwards democratic commie. Except instead of being a horse, as you put it so bluntly, we will be quite regal foxes. I say... We seem to have picked up a bit of proper etiquette from the English. -AHEM- Anyhow, it will certainly be quite the final showdown.
Hmmmm..... It has been quite a long time, but I vaguely remember my main force. I was at the head of the aptly named "Red Army" since I found out how to rename my party on the map. It was a mighty force of 800. 180 Nord Huscarls at the front, 300 Nord Warriors, 100 Archers split between Swadian and Nord Archers, and the rest were a Cavalry mix of Swadian Knights and Mercenary Horsemen. It took me two years to get this force so finely tuned, our losses made good by the peasants we took.... Even my wife, who I sadly cannot remember, fought by my side. Alas..... Only a few days before I quit playing.... I decided to have one last hurrah... I took my force towards the Swadian capital of Praven.... Only to find King Harlaus there with six other lords and an army over 2,000... As the last of my men fell around me, my wife and I shared one last kiss and said our goodbyes, then... we charged into the fray. I had a mod that enabled permadeath, so once I fell on the 'Field of Honor'... That was it. Game over. I left Warband a few days later.

As far as Bannerlord is concerned, I only have around 50 or so. I'll have to reinstall it to find out what I actually run. And I did try to get Warband back up, but it seems that I have some corrupted files and I'm not gonna buy another copy and make a second Steam account. ^^; Your stories are entertainment enough.

As for warband this ironically enough is my first ever game of mount and blade, didnt even bother to check guides or the tutorial. I like to dive in blind. I have left all setting as they were and have no mods, so enemy lords usually have only 200 men per army, yet i found on accident that the best unit in the game is mercenary cavalry. Cheap, insanely effective and good at sieges as well. Can even stand up to the Swadian Knights. So i have no problem fighting in a field with my force of 120 cav armies of 1K men and lose at most 10 dudes.
2 ironic factions i found are weak to cav in warband are Rhodocks as their sergeants suck at fighting against a mass cav charges :p
And Khergit Khanate is even worse, turns out that the mongol weakness are other cav armies.
Nords are only problem in sieges when they defend, and swadia is bearable but the strongest of them all. Sassanids and Khergits suck both at sieges and field battles when faced with the death stack of mercenaries :p
Vaegirs i didnt fight that much but at least on field they get easily slaughtered as well.
If i wasn't a loyalist and could be bothered to do it i could easily conquer all of Calradia with my current army, as losses are minimal and replacing merc cav is easy :] I will tell more stories tomorrow considering the war with Nords is innevitable. I feel strong enough to even storm Sargoroth by myself alone with my army. I can now maintain up to 196 men as i have renown of above 2600. Earned about 700 from the 2 week conquest of the entire Sultanate.
