Makes sense for the legion at 95k.

Makes sence, i cant give you the exact number of my troops but expect them to be around 20.000, around 1.000 active. Which would make it fair in rp since my army would technically be a bit more technologically advanced.

Would be funny to see that, to have more people join in the fight against three entities that absolutely despise eachother and see eachother and the evil spawns of the devil.

So im planing a responce, is it safe to assume that with this there would be a somewhat noticable military buildup of Legionaries near the border? Im planning out the scene in my head and i need to know if the setting i have planned can work.

No more hidden explosive beneath the Strip.

A large march would begin as Caesar Lanius begins his preparations.

A forward fort base would begin to be constructed by slaves and centurions it would be noticeable after a few days, maybe sooner if they use binoculars.

I feel like a parent looking at the Omertas and saying:

"I put up with enough of your b**lsh*t, I mean, sneaking in weapons was bad enough and the slaves were even worse, but gassing the Strip goes far enough."

Love Peace and Friendship wrote:The Counictva used to be three rivaling states known as the Sovereign Republic of Astovich, the Castriwec Proletariat Liberation Junta, and the Enlightened Kingdom of Kyrystalis. Astovich was a fascist state, noteable for its hypernationalist rhetoric, xenophobic policies to the local Alcatus nomads, and its accusations of Muslim overlordship of its rivals. Society was heavily monitored and cultivated by the state, which was managed in a one-party social corporatist regime. Kyrystalis was a feudal monarchy which refused to evolve from religion, nationality, and autocracy; the Kniahinia's word was law, and every serf, noble, priest, and merchant to accept his authority, though his excessive oversight was subverted and thwarted by feudal and religious officials seeking to fulfill their own personal objectives. Castriwec was a vanguard regime, considering itself a 'Stratocratic Communist State'. Its revolutionary army considered itself sufficient to be a vanguard party on its own, and anyone to defiled its five year industrial plans and brutal conscription laws was considered to be a reactionary and sent to... places. From the late 80s to around 2010 they waged a brutal and violence civil war which devastated the countries and left them in utter ruin, filled only by ideological and ethnic hatred for each other.
However, former Astovian Interrogator and pacifist religious figure Gunnibal Chuvak choose to rise up against this tyranny. Using only rhetoric and the will of God, he successfully orchestrated a pacifist revolution, which despite being initially brutally put down by all three regimes, ended up toppling them in the end.

The Counictva is a 'Temporary Organizational Entity' with an ultimate objective to establish a religious anarchist society within its borders, free from the tyranny and brutal policing that defined its previous eras. To this end the Counictva works to promote Christian ethics and moral behavior in its society so that it may long outside its existence once it is dissolved. It does so through promoting religious apologetics, holding good behavior campaigns, utilizing social engineering... and... others. There is an elected legislature, the Collective of Municipalities, but it is highly limited; the Counictva is not democratic but 'vanguard anarchist' and as such works only to fulfill its ultimate objective with a set of devoted followers of Chuvak. Local authorities have more effective power due to the limitations of Gunnibal Administrative Council, allowing them to near-freely enforce laws, much against the wishes of Chuvak.

The economy is fragmented between the three former regions. In Astovich there is a capitalist economy where cities have some factories and the countryside is filled with freeholding farmers. In Kyrystalis tenant farms are the norm for most of the countryside, which dominates the region economically, with cities only having a few shops and craftsmen. Though some peasant communes exist, scattered. In Castriwec there is the bulk of the industry, controlled directly by worker democracies. What agriculture does exist is collectivized, but it is minuscule compared to Astovich and especially Kyrystalis. Most agriculture is pre-tractor, and the entire country lacks any benefit of the computerized age. Radio serves as the main form of communication and understanding in the country; television is less favored because it is considered anti-intellectual and anti-religious. The Church owns one or two scattered businesses, but it gets enough donations from its population not to bother with more.

I see. are there any rules or regulations when investing in the country?

History

From the day of when the bombs fell Vegas has been preserved thanks to Mr. Houses defenses, he payed for Vegas's defense and once the day came he became one with machine, now living for more than 261 years! Vegas had been preserved but its residents were no more, Mr. House reached out and made a deal with the local tribes, they were to to work for him and he would provide them with more wealth than they could ever imagine. The tribes were manipulated into submission, those tribes that didn't however rebelled, they were the Great Khans and later to be Kings. The Omertas had a war with them, and with the support of Mr. House they succeeded in driving the Great Khans, Kings and others out of the Strip. Three total factions are now in the Strip, the Chairmen, Omertas, and the White Glove Society.

"Patrolling the east almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter."

Said Lombardo, a man roughly in his thirties, adored in his military uniform that decleared his allegiance to the NCR, a uniform that blended well with the savanna like surroundings.

"Like you'd stand living in the snow. Its wet, sticks to you and soaks you like a wet towel. Im from the mountains, trust me when i say it, its s*it."
Responded a guy not to far from him, his name Erletto, in his twenties, adoring the same uniform as him, although his accent slightly different from Lombardo's. Lombardo would merely sigh, shaking his head as he grabbed a pair of binoculars.

"At least you can warm it up and drink it... ill tell ya, when someone finds a way to make water out of sand, ill stop being nihilistic."

Lombardo responded back, putting the pair of binoculars infront of his eyes and looking out twoards the empty land. Erletto would merely chuckle, scratching his chin as he spoke.

"Did i forget to mention its freezing. You wouldn't stand it after having your b*lls get froz-"

It is then that Erletto would be interupted as Lombardo shouted, his tone much more on edge than his usual monotone self.

"The f*ck is that!"

Erletto would be slightly startled, looking at Lombardo as he walked closer to him, trying to look at the direction he was.

"What is it? Some kind of mutant?"

"No... Its the Legion..."

Lombardo responded, handing Erletto the binoculars. Erletto would take them, a confused expression on his face as he spoke.
"The Legion? So what? They hang around in these parts all the time, aint the first nor the last time we've seen the-HOLY S*IT WHAT THE F*CK ARE THEY DOING!?!?"

Erletto watched in pure shock at what was happening. Legion troops, adoring their usual Natinesque military armour, administrating what seems to be slaves, slaves who where constructing a structure, setting up tents and digging trenches around it. This was no usual Legion camp that the NCR was used to seeing, this was a threat, a threat being constructed dangerously close to the border.

"Get the radio, contact General Erich Schugel now, we have to report the Legion's activity!"

Lombardo would say, looking twoards the Legion's direction with a stern, though slightly worried, expression on his face. Erletto would look at him in silence for a solid few seconds, before nodding and turning to run twoards their unceremonius carriage, hopping onto it and shifting trought radio signals until finally making contact with the HQ. In a dire and alarmed tone of voice, Erletto would begin speaking into the microphone.

"HQ! HQ! This is lieutenant Erletto Garazzi of the Point Rigiorno patrol squad. We have urgent news for general Erich Schugel! I repeat, urgent news for general Erich Schugel!"

    Welcome to REWARD.

Welcome to the REWARD Homepage. REWARD is The World Assembly Development Program of The East Pacific, and covers matters of World Assembly membership, endorsements and to a lesser extent, regional security. The aim of this program is to develop and nurture a stronger endorsement capacity and scene within The East Pacific. Our region, being one of the oldest and largest in NationStates, can only continue to build on its successes if we continue to strive for stronger endorsement levels. More endorsements allow for The East Pacific to wield more power in the World Assembly, and also allow for greater regional security from external threats who may wish to do our region harm.

This dispatch contains basic information about REWARD, as well as a directory to all REWARD resources.

What is the World Assembly, and what are Delegates and Endorsements?

    • The World Assembly is essentially the United Nations of NationStates (a little trivia fact, it was originally called the United Nations until the site's creator was Linknearly sued!) It has two chambers, the General Assembly, and the Security Council. The General Assembly tends to vote on basic laws and regulations, such as civil rights protections, or agriculture regulations. The Security Council votes on more gameplay-adjacent matters, such as Commends/Condemns of on-site nations, or liberations or injunctions of entire regions. The World Assembly is made up of tens of thousands of nations, just like yours who all have their say on proposals at vote.

    • Delegates are the elected leaders of a region. The nation who has the most endorsements is elected the Delegate. The East Pacific elects delegates through a long-standing and well-structured democratic system, wherein individuals run campaigns for the Delegacy, and select a government to serve alongside them.

    • Endorsements are a crucial in-game mechanic, allowing you to 'endorse' other nations in-game to give them more influence. For most nations, they don't mean an enormous amount, and most nations will endorse a couple of people, with no real change whatsoever. Though for a region, they are absolutely vital to its success. A region's Delegate requires endorsements to remain in the position, and our regional security, the Viziers, require them to keep our region safe from external threats. To endorse a nation, simply be a member of the WA, and scroll down to the bottom of another nation's page, then click that big ol' endorse button.

    What's in it for me?

Being a part of the REWARD program has its perks. Not only will you be standing side-by-side with a broad and diverse cast of nations from all across the east, but you'll be doing your part to ensure our region remains safe and secure. Your endorsements ensure no foreign adversary can harm our region, and strengthens The East Pacific's position in the World Assembly by adding your endorsement to our regional vote. When we go to vote on a resolution, you'll be able to not only have your say, but your endorsement on the Delegate will also add an extra vote to our regional vote (The Delegate's vote is worth however many endorsements they have. For example, if the Delegate has 400 endorsements, our region's vote will be worth 400 votes)

Your participation also grants you several perks in the region. You'll have access to honorary titles, such as 'Hussar of The East' or 'Winged Hussar of The East', and you'll get nice shiny badges to pair! These badges can be displayed with pride in your signature (which appears below your every post) on our LinkRegional Forums, or on the NationStates Forums! You'll be given a special Hussar role in our LinkRegional Discord, giving you access to it's WA channels, which will allow you to help guide our regional vote on every WA proposal. You'll also be entered into occasional giveaways and raffles for your loyalty and hard-work.

    Summary

Welcome to the East Pacific! We are one of the oldest regions out there, with 20 years of experience. We have a lot to offer, including two current tech roleplays and an accessible legislature and executive.

You are reading STEP, The East's guide to NationStates. Each dispatch contains a summary and then more detailed explanations, including screenshots and detailed insights from our experienced players. If you're new, we recommend reading every dispatch in order, but you can also read them independently of one another.

You have either been founded in a frontier or a feeder, two types of regions which accept new nations. If you find yourself in the East Pacific, please read this guide! If you aren't in the East Pacific, go to The East Pacific and scroll down until you see "Move [YOUR NATION] to the East Pacific."

You'll be seeing a lot of recruitment Telegrams, which can get spammy and annoying pretty quickly. To disable recruitment telegrams, head to Settings > Telegrams > Preferences > Block All under "Recruitment".

Nations receive issues once every six hours. Some issues spawn card packs, which contain cards ranked by rarity that you can retain, trade or sell.

    Got questions? Telegram Delegate Merlovich.

    Introduction

Hello and welcome to NationStates, and the East Pacific. You are currently reading STEP, our guide designed to get you jump started in the game. If you're like other newbies, you'll probably have many questions about how everything works. This guide, lovingly written by our hospitality team, is designed to answer all of your questions, and more. If you want to get a quick summary of things and then get launched into things, you will get the jist of things by reading the summaries on top of these dispatches, however our dispatches aim to be short and accessible while also going into enough detail, so we recommend you read them in full.

If you have any questions, we have multiple government members that are willing to answer them! Feel free to ask on the regional message board, or telegram our Delegate, they will be happy to answer any question you might have!

The East Pacific is one of five feeder regions who share fifty percent of all new spawns, with the other fifty percent going to frontiers, regions founded by users which also accept new nations, trading guaranteed security for the privilege. If you've let your nation go inactive and Cease to Exist, and then logged back in, you have likely spawned in one of three restorer regions, which are designed to rehabilitate nations that have returned after a brief period of absence.

If you're reading this, it is likely that you have been founded in the East Pacific, however, if you haven't you are still more than welcome to join, and we would love to have you on board. To move, you should go to the East Pacific's regional page, scroll down until you see the Move [YOUR NATION] to the East Pacific and then click on it.

The East Pacific is an active democracy, and participation can be enjoyed by all that seek to contribute in good faith. If you're interested in joining, STEPs Three onwards will take you through applying to the East Pacific.

    Telegrams

Many regions send you automated recruitment telegrams in an attempt to get you to join their region. There are a lot of these, and it can get spammy and overwhelming fast. Thankfully, NationStates has given you a way to block Telegrams you don't want. To do this, you need to click on the settings button, which is usually found in the top bar of the page.

If you then scroll down to telegrams and go to preferences, you'll see a grid which looks something like this:

Our recommended settings are as follows, however, you are free to choose whatever you want. "Allow Some" occasionally allows telegrams in, and "Allow Most" blocks some. If you click the "block all" for recruitment, your nation will stop receiving the large volume of recruitment telegrams. Keep in mind that your inbox can only hold twenty telegrams.

    Issues and Cards

Issues are problems that you need to handle, and they impact your nations statistics and rankings abroad. Initially you get a higher rate of issues like normal, however, once you've played the game for a while, you only get one issue every six hours. As long as you abide by general decorum, the East Pacific does not penalise you for the way you answer issues - we're a big community, and your type of nation reflects that.

There is no "correct" way to answer issues, only the way that you want to. Every issue changes your statistics, and some might change your national policy. If you want to, there are websites such as this Linkone that give you the general trend in issue outcomes, however using these aren't necessary and you should only do it if you find it fun!

Issues sometimes generate cards. Cards are minted irregularly and are a snapshot of a nation, divided into various classes of rarity, from common to legendary. Cards can be bought, sold and traded on the market.
