Not really, loads of Kampfians, AKA Nörd-Germanics, had their own nation in Sminishia when the kingdom that just broke off from Kampfia in the 19th century was divided into three kingdoms, two of them being Slavic. The Slavic kingdoms though, *did* want to separate themselves from most parts of Germanic tradition, so they implemented linguistic purism programs which eventually led to an extinction of a previous language they spoke.
I wonder if I can begin breeding a new monstrosity to haunt the oceans.

However, the linguistic programs did have differences in intensity of efforts. The Probanii kingdom, which was Muslim, kept all it's Unistani Arabic loanwords while replacing most Deutsch loanwords with Belska Ouresian words of Slavic origin. The Smin Kingdom though, replaced most of Unistani Arabic in their accent.
