Kryoximillian's office was rather cold this morning. He was unprepared for the chilling breeze when he first walked in, letting out a silent gasp only he himself could hear. He finally embraced the ice cold air and walked behind his large oak desk. He sat there for a bit before turning to his personal thermostat to read the display.

That's weird, Kryoximillian thought. I put it to 73 degrees last night. He tapped on the electronic display with a cold hand. Once he stopped stabbing at it, the heater in the large room fired up, sending out a gust of warmer, much more desirable air to attack the frost bitten cold. He basked in the warmth for little more then fifteen seconds before Fuhrguss opened the glass and wood door.
"We've received many replies, sir!" Fuhrguss called while closing the door behind him. "We have received twelve responses," Fuhrguss said, laying down a manila envelope on Kryoximillian's polished desktop. "However, one nation in particular that we were hoping would appear will not be arriving."
Kryoximillian slightly smirked at Fuhrguss before going for the envelope. Suddenly, he felt an urge. A sudden urge, one that screams, "Don't do it!" right before you jump. He hesitated. He looked back up at Fuhrguss, who looked at him with worry. "Sir, are you alright?"
Kryoximillian nodded. "Y-yes. Just a bit anxious, that's all." His advisor smiled warmly before the Premier turned back to the envelope. He tore it open and pulled the report out of the package. The report was rather thick, with the report itself at the very front. That's all he was interested in.

Kryoximillian was thrilled. He never thought he could pull it off. Now, he had a formal gathering to prepare for. "Wait a minute. When did the Östarians say they were coming?"
"Late last night, sir."
"Fuhrguss, I appreciate your hard work. But could you do one small thing for me?"
"Yes, of course, sir."
"Please send a second telegram to the nations of Peatiktist and San Sierra if they have made up their minds yet about their descisions."
"Right away, sir."
Fuhrguss walked out of the office without missing a beat. Kryoximillian sat up straight, proud that he landed a celebration with some of Valsora's most powerful figures in one room. He then let his arm go limp, letting it hit the polished desktop.
Damnit, he thought. If only the Columbians were able to attend.
