In the wake of the video being uploaded, the 19-year-old Jessica Oldham had her house raided by police and during that raid, she was executed by gunshot, kneeling on the floor. This event has not been made public. However, something was publicly announced by The Lanorthan Government: John Schofield, the former reformist and Leader of Lanorth, has died of lung cancer. In reality, Mr Schofield had his back cut open and his ribcage ripped out, before his lungs were individually stabbed. He died of suffocation.

In airports across the country, San Sierran tourists, being forced out of the country, were nervous to discover all the flights to and from San Sierra had been cancelled. This happened all across the country. At exactly 20:50 in the evening, twenty soldiers, armed with machine-guns, stormed every airport in Lanorth, which had been closed off to Lanorthan citizens to make sure no Lanorthan died.
Ordered by James Edwards himself, the soldiers lined up and started spraying every San Sierran they could see. It was known as Operation: Horseshoe and was later referred to as The Nationwide Massacre, as it happened across the country. All remaining San Sierran survivors in the airports were murdered and those San Sierrans who were still out and about where also killed. It was an act of war and was carried out, against the will of Lanorth's military commanders.
Due to the massacre, every senior military commander resigned in protest and managed to flee their command posts and go into hiding until the San Sierrans inevitably forced Lanorth into capitulation. The death toll numbered in the hundreds. James Edwards, who was now paranoid of death, has reportedly fallen ill with mental-related issues though remains determined to lead Lanorth to a victory that would likely never embrace the arms of the state. The populace of Lanorth prepared for the worst and it was sure to come, in a form of San Sierran soldiers, tanks, aircraft and bombs.
Without any decent commanders, young and inexperienced commanders were put in charge. Under immense pressure, they could not command properly. Lanorth was doomed in the war that was to come, it was inevitable. In-fact, 30% of Lanorth's Armed Forces have deserted, not wanting to die for such a worthless and idiotic cause.
The war was soon to begin and was now inevitable. All Lanorthans could do was pray, even though that was against the law, with a strict atheism policy being in place, despite nearly 95% of Lanorth's adult population being religious. It was more the children who were atheists.

With various reports of The Nationwide Massacre happening in Lanorth, and with blood of hundreds of San Sierrans being spilled in the international airport, millions, with soon to be more than ten millions, have been saddened and angered by the Lanorthan massacre of their ethnic brothers.
Multiple generals and high ranked commanders in the Army of the Republic, shocked by the massacre, were ordering the speed up of mobilizations.

The Lanorthan Armed Forces, or what is left of it after a mass desertion, has faced another mass desertion. A further 20% of it's fighting forces have deserted. Only half remain and Edwards has ordered what remains into a state of mobilisation, with coastal defences being swiftly erected along the coastline of the country. The defences would likely do nothing, in reality. The remaining soldiers, unorganised and unready, are scattered unevenly across the country, yet 25% of the soldiers are moved to the coastline were bunkers are swiftly set up in case of a naval invasion.
In a few weeks, the Tigre del Exteriorem F1, commanded by Admiral Gabriel Tejedor, gets deployed, starting to head to the sea of Lanorth.
