I have to sing "Abide With Me" for a talent show infront of a large crowd of people next week, but I have stage fright. Anyone got any good tips on how to suppress my fear so I don't mess it up? I know I have a good voice, and that I'll do fine. It's just I've always been nervous to do anything infront of crowds.

I can’t offer much advice except to just chill and think about something that calms you before you head onstage.

Omonian Sanctions Act

Recalling how the Omonian energy company, DemGas, violated New Westmore’s territorial integrity.

Noting when DemGas performed illegal actions, the Omonian government rallied behind DemGas and instead waged a war that destabilised New Westmore resulting in civil strife in the nation.

Further noting how DemGas caused a global intervention in the conflict and widely disrupted global trade by causing said conflict in the continent of Aislada.

Condemning how DemGas and the Omonian government initiated the conflict in the nation of New Westmore, resulting in immense amounts of death and suffering as a result of said conflict.

Expressing concern that DemGas and the Omonian government can and will cause further conflicts in order to further their own gains.

Emphasising that DemGas, through this act, must be barred from being able to perform business in Maham Pact member nations as well as associated and closeby nations forthwith to prevent similar situations from occurring in the future.

Further emphasising that all Omonian energy companies cannot be trusted due to the actions of DemGas as well as the Omonian government.

Determining that if DemGas and other Omonian energy companies are not barred from performing business, it will result in further death and suffering worldwide.

The Maham Pact hereby enacts the “Omonian Sanctions Act”:

Section A: Applicability of Sanctions

A1. All sanctions imposed in this act will be followed through with by member nations of the Maham Pact. Additionally, any other actions that this act will entail must also be followed through with by member nations of the Maham Pact.

A2. A member nation of the Maham Pact that refuses to comply with the motions of this act will be liable for a suspension or removal of membership.

Section B: Sanctioning Omonian Energy

B1. All assets of Omonian energy companies will, hereby, be prohibited from performing business on the continent of Unistan as well as all member nations of the Maham Pact. Examples of such companies include DemGas and NovaLink.

B2. Key figures in DemGas, who are mentioned on a separate document, will be placed on a travel ban and also have all of their personal assets in Maham Pact member nations suspended.

B3. Importation and exportation of oil, natural gas and all other forms of energy sources from Omonia will be restricted. Importation of these goods will be strictly prohibited. Exportation of these goods will be allowed.

B4. Commercial activities with DemGas and other Omonian energy services will be strictly prohibited.

B5. Restrictions on providing assets to designated persons or entities and restrictions on dealing with the assets of designated persons or entities will be imposed.

Article C: Enforcement of Sanctions

C1. All sanctions imposed by this act will be enforced by the Maham Pact. The general-secretariat of the Maham Pact will be in charge of forming a department that will oversee the processes of this act and ensure that member nations follow the procedures of this act. This department will be referred to as the “Omonian Sanctions Enforcement Department” (or “OSED”).

C2. The military of all member nations are expected to enforce the sanctions of this act by force if necessary. Any attempts to circumvent these sanctions or any ignorance of these sanctions by Omonia will be just cause for Maham Pact member nations to use violent measures in order to force Omonia to abide by the sanctions.

Though it is completely up to Arkadia's government to decide sanctions, Terreich und Preußen would be in full support of these sanctions.

"The deliberate destabilization of Trans-Demetric trade by the Omonian government and those under its supervision and control is unacceptable and compromises the very foundation of civil order and international moral law. It's this fact that today, under my administration, we seek to punish those who wish these codes harm. Within the fortnight, members of our coalition within both chambers of Congress will introduce a resolution that will join the Maham Pact in their sanctions against Omonia and their energy corporations. As Großkanzler of this great nation and head of the Commonwealth, I call on those who value the moral code of oceanic trade and stability to join us in this effort to punish those who wish to violate it."

I've kinda done it before, I sang "The Confrontation (Les Miserables)" Infront of maybe 200ish kids during a fire drill during my first semester, but even then, it was just my chorus teacher wanted to hear my voice, and I was still tense during the entire thing (almost had a panic attack, but I held it in the road) but it was very fun nonetheless.

Alright, so the primary continent in the Elder Scrolls lore is Tamriel. There was a few other major continents, but all of them are either completely gone or their location is forgotten, so everything is focused on Tamriel.

There are three main racial groups on Tamriel; Men, Mer (elves), and Beastfoak. Mer are not native to Tamriel, and the main races of Men are also not native. The only native sapient races are the Beastfolk, and certain minority groups of Men.
Combined all the major sapient species are known as the "Ten Races of Tamriel" and are as follows;
  • Altmer/High Elves (Mer)

  • Argonians (Beastfolk)

  • Bosmer/Wood Elves (Mer)

  • Bretons (Men)

  • Dunmer/Dark Elves (Mer)

  • Imperials (Men)

  • Kajiit (Beastfolk)

  • Nords (Men)

  • Orsimer/Orcs (Mer)

  • Redguards (Men)

Each of the ten races has a massive amount of history, but it would take forever to type all of it out.
There are also several other species that could be considered "races" but most of them are either non-sapient, or extinct.

Tamriel is diveded into several major provences:
  • The Black Marsh, a massive, mostly uncharter region of dense jungle, which the Argonians are native to.

  • Cyrodiil, the central provence, home to the Imperials. At it's heart is the Imperial Isle and Imperial City, "The only city in the world".

  • Elsweyr, the airid homelands of the Kajiit

  • Hammerfell, the Desert mountains the Redguards call home.

  • High Rock, the politically divided homelands of the Bretons and (sort of) the Orsimer.

  • Morrowing, the home of the Dunmer. A continental mainland with an island at the center, divided by the Sea of Ghosts.

  • Skyrim, the tundra region the Nords call home. Also the Falmer (Snow Elves), but if they count as sentient or not is highly debatable. Skyrim is home to the tallest mountains in all of Tamriel, and is more or less the second most populated provence behind Cyrodiil.

  • The Summerset Isles, located in the Eltheric Ocean. Composed of three islands, and home to the Altmer

  • Valenwood, a mostly uninhabited forest wilderness home to the Bosmer and certain groups of Orsimer.

All of these provences have been ruled over by "The Empire" (centered on Cyrodiil) at one point or another, though unity is scarce and fades the further into the timeline you go.

There are six Eras of Tamriel, each denoting a signifigant time period, and the change between them.

First is the Dawn Era, a somewhat mythical era when the gods walked the planet and not mortals. It begins with the emergence of the concepts of Order and Chaos, and ends with the punishment of Lorkhan (the creator of the mortal plane).

The Merethic Era is the earliest point a linear form of time can be traced back to. It begins in ME 2500 (the earliest known date recorded by historians) and works it's way backwards to 1E 1.
Several notable events include the exodus of the Mer from their ancestral homelands in Aldmeris and their settling on Tamriel, and the later exodus of the Atmorans (The progenators of most of the major races of Man) from their ancestral homelands in Atmora.
The Merethic Era ends with the founding of the Camoran Dynasty in Valenwood, the oldest royal family on Tamriel.

The First Era (denoted by 1E) lasted 2920 years, and is marked by a visible shift in power between the Mer and Men. Most notable is the Alessian Slave Rebellion, led by Saint Alessia. Known as the "Slave Queen" at the time, Alessia would then go on to form the first "Empire of Man".
Other notable events includes the founding of the first Orsinium by the Orcs, the first Kingdom of Skyrim (also refered to as the first empire of the Nords).
The First Era ends with the assasination of the Cyrodiilic Emperor and his heir, ending the Reman bloodline and beginning the Cyrodiilic Potentate.

The Second Era (denoted by 2E) lasted 896 years, beginning with the death of the Reman bloodline.
The most notable events of this Era include the assasination of the Cyrodiilic Pontate, ending the Second Empire of Man and beginning the Interregnum. This inevitably led to the Three Banners War, over the Ruby Throne and the right to rule all of Tamriel.
The Three Banner War has a massive amount of lore on it's own, which is too long to put here.
The Second Era ends with the unification of Tamriel under Tiber Septim and "The Empire".

The Third Era (denoted by 3E) only lasted 433 years and is the era which the first four main series Elder Scrolls games take place in.
The Third Era is the only point in Tamrielic history where the entire continent was unified, though "unified" should be taken lightly because the era is punctuated by dozens of civil wars and provencial revolts.
Some notable events include the Nerevarine (The protagonist of the Morrowind game) over the Akulakhan, the subsequent second eruption of the Red Mountain volcano, and the assasination of Uriel Septim VII which led to the Oblivion Crisis.
The sacrifice of Emperor Martin Septim during the Oblivion Crisis marked the end of the Septim bloodline, and the end of the Third Era.

The Fourth Era (denoted by 4E) is the most recent era.
It is marked by a prolonged collapse of The Empire, the rise of the Third Aldmeri Dominion and the Thalmor, then the Great War with the Third Empire.
The last known year of the fourth era (and thus, the last known year of the timeline) is 4E 201, which marks the Dragon Crisis in Skyrim and the Last Dragonborn rising to combat the World Eater, Alduin

Aaaaand, that's all I'm willing to put into a single post. Feel free to ask further questions.

From the rugged cliffs near Tamata to the mountains of Ninguang, Qing Chou had been all over East Orientalis, but she had a new mission, to visit the independent tribes to the west of East Orientalis. When she signed up, she expected it would be quite easy, all she had to do was head west and chat with the tribes' leaders. But nothing ever goes to plan.

Qing was standing in dense rainforest next to a broken car. "High quality they said, reliable they said! How is this reliable!?!" She fumes as the smoking Xinguang 4x4 creaks. She picks up the satellite phone, only to realise it was dead. Stuck out in the rainforest, all alone, no way to contact home. Qing decides that her best option is to try to find food and water, her stock will last her another month, but a constant supply would leave her with no stress.

"BAAANNNGGG!!!" Qing looks arounds her; she had been looking for a stream for the past hour with no luck. She had however managed to grab a few oranges and mangoes. "BAAANNNGGG!!!" Qing runs, she knows that the banging is not a good sign. But she stops, which way is the car? Nothing looks familiar, but in the distance, she sees the sunlight bounce off a little speck of green. That's when she remembers, the car is green. She runs as fast as her legs can carry her.

As she approaches the car she looks around, she's followed by bright, orange burn of a fire. She's trapped, her heart is racing. The tree next to her creaks, as she looks up, she sees a figure glide from the treetop, they land on their feet perfectly. The figure then grabs her tightly as they climb up to the treetop.

"You nearly got yourself killed there." States the figure. "Anyways, my name is Master Jie Tang, but you can just call me Jie."

"I'm perfectly capable of fending for myself and I did not need your help then, I would have managed fine on my own." Complains a slightly confused Qing. "But what just happened?"

"Well, I pretty sure you would be dead without me, but no need to thanks me." Says a proud Jie, "a Red Mango Tree must have caught alight, don't worry it's normal."

"But what am I supposed to do know?" Asks a still perplexed Qing. "I have nothing to eat, no bed to sleep in, no mosquito repellent to repel mosquitoes."

"Meh...mosquitoes don't cause no harm, anyways I'd better take you to my village. Zhou will be happy to see you." Explains Jie as he starts walking through the treetops. "You'd better follow me."

OOC: Thoughts???

A small house on the village's main street, made of carefully cut and placed dark wood. The thatch roof neatly placed, the wooden siding perfectly cut, and meticulously cared for plants. "Well, here we are!" States Jie, "my dad's house." Jie then leads Qing to the front door, where he pulls a key from under the welcome mat. Then he proceeds to open the door with the key. "Here we are, what do you think?"

The interior of the house is even more perfect than the exterior; the furniture clean as a whistle, the decorations placed meticulously, and stunning black and white paintings. "Take a seat." Offers Jie, he then heads off to another room. "Where are you going?" Asks Qing. "Tea!" He shouts back. Qing decides to sit down on a small wodden stool in the meantime.

Qing looks around. She notices a vintage TV next to a stack of VHR tapes, she also notices the EOEC 11, a 35-year-old computer, that looks good as new. She turns her head and sees a bird sitting in the ceiling beams; peacefully doing its own thing. Then she closes her eyes, the peaceful sound of birds chirping and trees rustling. Then she opens them, and sees the house differently, there's a cat hiding behind the VHRs, an owl sleeping under the EOEC 11's shadow, a panda on the sofa. Then she twigs. A panda on the sofa?

Jie walks in, holding a tray with tea. "Here you go." He says as he hands Qing the tea.

"Why is there a panda on the sofa? Why? Just why?" Questions Qing, "shouldn't it be out there in the wild?" She sips her tea.

"Oh him, his name is Yijun. He loves it here, he spends most of his time on that sofa. My dad found him in the wild with a broken foot, he helped heal the foot and now Yijun never seems to leave." Jie explains.

Yijun rolls himself off the sofa. He gets up and walks towards Qing. Then he gently brushes her back with his fur. "He must like you." States Jie. "He never does that to strangers."

The door opens and an older man steps inside. "Hello Jie!" He says, then he looks at Qing, "who is this?"

"Hi Dad, she is Qing, and she wants to see you." Explains Jie, who then turns his head towards Qing. "Qing, this is Zhou, my dad and the leader of the village."

That would be in your best interests. I would hate to have to deploy my airforce to stop his deliveries.

I gave him the opportunity to withdraw without consequences. He didn't take me seriously. He shall reap what he sows.
