Tsaesci Camp, Near Baan Malur
With the Tang Mo insurrection distracting the Tsaesci and setting fire to their camp, the time to strike was made apparent. King Symmachus ordered a Cavalry charge, impaling the front line of Tsaesci, and allowing for several thousand Dunmeri to follow in close formation, engaging the snake men. He then joined his men in his personal kingsguard, sallying outside of Baan Malur to confront the Akaviri in their camp. The fighting soon became heavy and bogged down, and there was no more decisive action, turning the battle into a brutal numbers game. So many troops amassed in such a small area that there were very few groups actually fighting, with the majority pressing into their allies in front of them.

The Close combat was bloody and brutal, and King Symmachus as well as the Redoran Councillors had all joined the battle at that point, except for Rilms, who was suffering from Rockjoint. Many soldiers began pressing forward, trying to approach the fighting, and this made the armies very tight and crowded, with several dozen men being trampled by their companions. Formation was all but lost when the second wave of Akaviri, from a nearby camp, joined the fray. The Dunmer and Snakemen continually elongated the front, spreading across the surface of battle like a liquid so they would meet an opponent.

When the battle had been raging for nearly 30 minutes, with both sides exhausted and battered, a horn was heard. The Breton troops promised by the Ardoland Kingdom of Daggerfall fell upon the Snakemen's flanks. Their devastating barrage of spells took out many groups of Akaviri before they drew their weapons and charged into the fight, allowing some relief for the Dunmer. Despite this, the Akaviri fought brutally and held their ground, not giving an inch to either the Bretons or the Redoran. In the midst of the fray, Symmachus was heard nobly leading his troops, but there was little to no order on the Dunmer side as the tide of battle had been inconclusive and many soldiers had lost their groups and squadrons, as well as many of the commanding officers being killed.

After 20 minutes, horns were finally blown. The Redoran and Dunmer, unsure of what the signal meant, did not press the Tsaesci, as they were not wont to be lured. The Akaviri began an orderly and effective retreat, with a solid shield wall covering their flank. After the Breton-Redoran armies occupied what remained of the camp, with few Tang Mo survivors, they did not chase the enemy, having been severely depleted of ranks and energy. Unsure of the Akaviri plans, they set fire to the rest of the encampment and any fortifications, and fell back into the city. Due to the clause of the Redoran-Daggerfall Treaty, a shotgun tribunal was held to allow the Breton Army into Baan Malur.

Outside Baan Malur, Post Battle
A Dunmer military scout named Halyn reported that the Akaviri feared they would not have a suitable position on land, especially not with the combined force of Daggerfall and Redoran. Thus, they were beginning to board their ships, purportedly heading to a less well-defended Tamrielic realm, the Northern skyrim, that they thought they could conquer with even their depleted numbers. Whether the Daggerfallian Navy would be able to confront them remains to be seen.

The King of Morrowind felt an enormous sense of pity when he saw the newly emancipated Tang Mo, from the Monkey Islands of Akavir thousands of leagues from here. Symmachus, translating through Yingdo, announced to them that he would grant them a holdfast in West Gash on Vvardenfell, if they chose to stay. However, the few thousand of them remaining unanimously decided to journey Southwest to Valenwood, where there were purportedly long lost relatives of theirs, the Imga. They believed they would be more welcome and safer among fellow apes. Symmachus realized with a slight sorrow that the coldness and xenophobia of his Dunmeri countrymen likely caused this decision, even after the Tang Mo had helped them. He gave Yingdo and his group a large supply of food, clothing, and gold, and saw him off for his long venture across Tamriel.

Baan Malur
After the Akaviri fled, there was a great rejoicing across the City. The soldiers and civilians danced and sang, but in a drunken and non-Disney manner. The Great Stupor, as it would come to be called, was one of the wildest and most rowdy celebration that the normally conservative city of Baan Malur had ever known. Dunmer climbed the towers and walls to wave their red banner, and there was more than one death that night, as few residents were sober. The Council announced a great feast for all the nobles and commanders, and they served their formerly precious stock with reckless abandon. Only the engineers and architects were awake come morning, set with the hardy task of fixing the fortifications damaged in the multitude of sieges, charges, and battles that the walls had faced.

(Wow, I had alot of catching up to do! With school starting back, I've been swamped with too many things to handle now. I've been logging in regularly but haven't been in a position to respond, I will try to do better in the future)

The King sat upon his throne, holding his face in his hands, contemplating his next move. Since the gathering of Counts and Countesses of Cyrodiil, none agreed to joining his Kingdom. The Count of Kvatch even spat at the King's feet and attempted to walk out. The King had to stop his soldiers from drawing their blades out of anger at the Count, allowing him to leave without harassment. It lasted several days but accomplished nothing. A single soldier entered the room, wearing the heavy golden armor of his Kingdom.

"Your Majesty, we have received a messenger from the Nibenean Empire. It seems urgent." Said the soldier as he kneeled to the King. He knew this would come eventually. News of the major fighting occurring at the Niben between the Akaviri and the Nibenese spread throughout Cyrodiil and was partly the reason why none of the Counts and Countesses wanted to transition to the Kingdom, not while they prepared their cities for defense and battle should the Nibenese fail to hold them back.

"Send him in." Said the King, leaning back in his chair and sighing. He knew why he came. They wanted Colovians to help them in their battles. They needed help to fight them back after the battle of Leyawiin, which was disastrous for Medora, who seemed to be injured himself in the fighting.

The King's Throne Room

The humble Nibenean messenger entered the room, wearing no armor but the green and gold coat of the Niben. He knelt to show respect for the King. "Greetings, Your Majesty. I come bearing a request from Emperor Arratius Medora of the Nibenean Empire. I'm sure as you've heard, we've successfully beaten back the Akaviri assault on the Southern coast of Cyrodiil. In the process, we have lost much of our army. It is assured that if the Akaviri launch another assault against Leyawiin, we will not be able to halt them a second time. If the Akaviri break our Empire, they will spread across Tamriel. As the closest power in the region, they will make certain Colovia is dealt with. With this in mind, I ask you to come fight side by side with us in this battle." Said the Messenger.

Winterhold 3rd Sun's Dawn, 4E 203

Days navigating the frigid Skyrim seas elapse. The water is full of ice making the going rough and for the most part the crew has kept a distance from shore. Deciding they should be near Skyrim they came close enough to spot land, in the far distance a city above some cliffs. Winterhold and the College of Mages catches their gaze and wonder, when suddenly there is a great splintering crash. In their lapse of attention the ship his struck a bad blow against an iceberg.

The crew swiftly goes below and seeing the breach is too big to fix, begin salvaging what supplies they can. Maerwyn with the help of Medea and Cassandra using their magic bring the ship in as close as they can. With a great crash Maerwyn runs the ship into a tiny frozen island surrounded by the frozen over sea. The party disembarks and kills a few horkers on the island and eats and gathers their supplies. Warming themselves up to the frigid north air they begin cautiously crossing from iceberg to iceberg closer to the shore. Sir Plutarch and Trollz being the bulkiest load on the pack gear of what can be carried and the mages keep Water Walking on them and help them move through the icy sea.

As they reach the shore at last with the sun going down the dusk winter air is lit up. The glow of several different spells illuminates the air. Maerwyn and Asher topple over paralyzed. As Trollz puts down his pack he is suddenly hit with Calm and lays down docilely. Sir Plutarch and Sir Jaquavis are surrounded by ice spikes, the lethal magical missiles falls around them in a wall. Medea and Cassandra deflect some spells directed towards them, and focus their warding and step forward.

"HALT!" A great booming magical voice is heard.

"We mean no harm, what is the meaning of this? Who are you?" Medea stops and puts her hand forward stopping Cassandra and calling out.

"I am Tjolfdir of the Mages Guild, the College of Winterhold……. Medea it has been so long, is that really you?" Tjolfdir the elderly master mage walks out of the shadows with some battlemages by his side.

"Teacher. Yes......It is me. I'm so sorry, our ship ran aground...."Medea steps forward happy to see her old teacher, but the old mage raises his hand and dispels her ward and force pushes her backwards.

"Medea you were banished from the College for Daedra worship, I cannot allow you into the city." Tjolfdir sternly says to Medea looking at her with a hint of disappointment in his eyes.

"Teacher....I am so sorry, you are right. I have repented of the worship of the Daedra though." Medea steps forward again and Tjolfdir raises his hand to cast another spells to back her off when she falls to her knees before him. "Please teacher, if I am not allowed to enter Winterhold so be it, but please allow my friends here to enter. We need supplies and a way to the other cities of Skyrim. The Akaviri have returned and begun an invasion of Tamriel."

"Hmmm, what you say is true. We had seen the Akaviri fleet pass here some days a go. There is another Akaviri armada near High Rock but we had seen the Ardoland navy go by here a week a go and presumed they dealt with them. Perhaps the Akaviri have gone home, or perhaps to gather their forces." Tjolfdir walks forward and helps Medea up and commands the mages to dispel the enchants on and around the others.

"What Medea says is true, we have fought the Akaviri in Morrowind. The Dunmer king Symacchus of Great redoran managed to repel them and that fleet you saw is probably those that escaped. It is said by the Redoran scouts the fleet of mostly Tsaesci and Tang Mo are heading to Northern skyrim." Asher the raspy voiced former Ashland chieftain speaks as he stands up after becoming un-paralyzed.

"That means they will probably strike Solitude. We must warn the The Emperor of Tamriel and the Legions stationed there." Sir Mazog says exasperatedly.

"Ah we may be too late either way. The Akaviri have not landed yet I know this much, but indeed the threat looms. If they invade I dare say they may find Skyrim an easy target, it is a fragmented and quiet land divided among many factions like Hjaalmarch0, Northern skyrim, and Skyrim and nordic peoples, the Imperial Legions of the Emperor, the rebellious Nords, and much more. There is little we can do." Tjolfdir states dismissively to the orc's concerns and walks over looking at Trollz puzzled. "I am curious why do you travel with a troll?"

"Ah he is our friend, and another reason actually why I wanted to come to Skyrim, and see your, er, illustrious guild." Maerwyn walks forward to Trollz side and pats him on the head. "Trollz is real smart, I mean you know, for a troll..." Maerwyn begins as Trollz sniffs Tjolfdir curiously. "..I mean we taught him to speak a lil bit. But you see uh, well Trollz got cursed by Hircine when me and Medea were trying to cure my lycanthropy..." Maerwyn looks at Tjolfdir nervously and stammers "..b-but we cured my lycanthropy months a go and no daedra worship since then I promise...It's just that Trollz here, well he is a weretroll still. The Wolfsbane Potion cured him from being forced to transform every day, but because of the cursed hide on his back, he still transforms and it is painful to him. I just wonder if we might be able to cure him without killing him."

"Ah so you two learned the folly of dabbling with the Daedra the hard way I see." Tjolfdir pats Trollz on the head and gives him a sad smile. "It seems this poor beast will have to bear the curse of your iniquities. I cannot say I ever have heard of quite a case like this, but we will look into it for you."

"Thank you so much teacher, yes you are correct. The Daedra are terrible indeed." Medea bows before her former teacher again but he hardens his face to her.

"You will bear your punishment as well, you are not enter the city with your friends, but you can camp outside of the city in a tent with this unfortunate creature you have condemned to a life of pain and exile from his kind." Tjolfdir replies and leads the rest of the party besides Medea and Trollz into Winterhold to resupply and rest and gain information about Skyrim.

Trying for a civil war, I see

The great empire of cyrodiil and Trollz

Great redoran wrote:Trying for a civil war, I see

Last I recall, Ulfric Stormcloak started the civil war by force and wanted to declare independence by force. I have done my Kingdom's Declaration of Independence through Diplomacy. The Divine Entity of The Emperor of Tamriel has accepted this Declaration of Independence without bloodshed. If a civil war were to occur, again... My Kingdom would surely lose and would never recover from the battles that could endure. The Kingdom of Hjaalmarch has 2 of the poorest holds along with one of the richest holds. Our Capital city is a half-destroyed city. We do not seek war with the Empire, we seek an alliance with the Empire, that is one of the terms in the Declaration of Independence. In my opinion, we have done the Imperial Province of Skyrim a favor by ridding it of its poor holds other than The Pale Hold. We also seek an alliance with neighboring Kingdoms; Northern skyrim and Skyrim and nordic peoples. It would surely help to know what Holds they have control over so I can know where to place my Embassies if the Emperor allows it since every Kingdom here is an Imperial Province(please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm still new here.) But a nation we would commence war with(which we are not prepared for) is the Aldmeri Dominion for their ethnic cleansing, violating the rights of the people in Tamriel, and for causing trouble in our Kingdom while it was part of the Imperial Province of Skyrim during the 25-year civil war. As said, our small Kingdom seeks no war against the Empire only peace and trade but will prepare to defend ourselves and invade our enemies if war were to occur. Even with our very small military.

Daggerfall Fleet
The fleet had allowed the Akaviri to escape, yet some light ships were sent to follow the fleeing Akaviri. Now that the Akaviri are on the run, main concern was returning the army home. The fleet anchored not far from the coast near Blacklight. Soon after the army marched to their transports. The Breton dead were placed in wooden caskets and also loaded onto the boats. Then the fleet sailed back home to High Rock. The departing army left a message for their dunmer allies:
"The war is far from over. Remember that the Bretons of Daggerfall were the ones that came to your aid."
Scouting Squadron
The few light ships tracked the Akaviri for almost a week. They followed the Akaviri along the coast of Skyrim, up to Hjaalmarch and Haafingar. Captain Belemont scanned the seas, or more like attempted to. His vision was blocked by a thick fog. He could barely make out what looked like an abandoned astle on a rocky island, and then a light in the sky rushing towards him. Horns and shouts followed, as more lights streaked the air and outlines of ships could be seen. The Akaviri finally decided to halt the pursuit. A whole armada descended upon the few Breton ships. In a quick naval skirmish, those ships were gone. Little did either side know, was that the main Breton fleet sailed past them many miles away, unable to notice the battle at their distance. The main fleet continued on course to Daggerfall, while the scouts net destruction.

(Well I guess I'll take this rare first time moment to post OOC after being here almost a year lol. Personally jumping this far into the future murders the point of my nation. I have been tracking Trollz and his Party's misadventures tying the timeline to what others said when I first joined last year it was 202. I therefore merely at the time being a noob adopted their date and been keeping track of Trollz and crew's story. After ending the First Trollz Saga I did go inactive being busy irl and CTE. When I revived I merely computer how many days I had been inactive and relegated this to a sorta Maerwyn, Medea, and Trollz idling the past months in a happy Solstheim Suburbia existence and made a minor adjustment to the Trollz Calendar by fixing the day of the week to the real life day of the week to simplify for me keeping track of the fictional universe's time lol. Happily this started exactly one year into the future making the canonical date 203. This coincided with a fresh story it seemed to me opening up; The Second Akaviri Invasion, prompted by the now Minister of Culture, Great redoran and this being for the time the overall unifying plot for the Region as a whole. To this I committed Trollz and his crew to begin reforming and set out on another adventure, or Saga. I would personally like to finish the Second Trollz Saga before any major timeskip.

Like the First Trollz Saga, I catalogue all of Trollz and Crews' adventures in journalistic fashion and place these in my Factbook. When the Factbook limit is reached, the Saga is over, this provides the impetus to make sorta story arcs that will have a beginning and an end, a complete story, but one that also ends open enough with the central character/s being able to begin a new Saga.

The Factbook limit is 20. I have 10 entries for the Second Trollz Saga right now. I was hoping to be able to get 8-9 more "episodes" essentially in order to resolve the main plot points of this story. The three main plot points that have evolved are:

Regionwide- the Second Akaviri Invasion. Regarding this I didn't make the Second Akaviri Invasion, but Great Redoran did, and I thought it was a fantastic idea that got me excited to jump back here into this Region and get some good quality RP going and has made me give a great part 1 to my Second Trollz Saga. With this though I have little control over it lol and merely played my characters' little part and it was fun. With the battle of Baan Malur being resolved, I technically don't need to fight the Akaviri again, but I thought maybe Regionwise this storyline is worth completing.

The other two plotpoints are bluntly selfish to myself, and if you been following Trollz and crews' tales you may all ready have perceived these. Firstly I wanted to solve the problem of Trollz being cursed by Hircine and cure him of being a weretroll and relieve him of the Savior's Hide. Secondly I wanted to have the wedding of Maerwyn and Medea and have this be the ultimate conclusion to the Second Trollz Saga.

To summarize I am fine with a time skip but I would like ironically to beg for the time and be able to finish my Second Trollz Saga. With 8-9 more posts to go (one being able to be written up tonight), I would estimate this to take to the end of this month. I would propose that whatever Time Skip year is voted upon that the Time Skip officially kicks in at the start of October so that myself has time to in essence get my house in order and wrap up the storyline I have evolved, as well as giving everyone else that opportunity, to collectively to bring a resolution to the Second Akaviri Invasion as a Regionwide issue, and just selfishly to allow me to finish my own personal Second Trollz Saga. )

The Poll was a request from me due to my Kingdom being founded in 4E 222. As I respect the decisions of this region's fellow members if the roleplay remains at 4E 203+ by regional vote. Then I will respectfully make my roleplay go back in time to the point where the Empire just won the civil war in Skyrim, the current roleplays that currently exist between some of the members here(Ardoland, Trollz, and Great redoran) will continue to exist, and I will remain as Hjaalmarch Hold(Jarldom of Hjaalmarch0) in the Imperial Province of Skyrim under the jurisdiction of the Empire then patiently wait till the year comes for my Kingdom's Independence. I will roleplay as the Thane of Hjaalmarch under Jarl Idgod Ravencrone helping to, of course, provide and protect the people of Hjaalmarch Hold. I understand some roleplays will be conflicted, but the group has been around for 5 years, and time has passed in Elder scrolls by a lot. Of course, then again none of us here is "Skyrim", everyone here are Imperial Provinces of the Empire with different cultures, lands, and new kingdoms that broke away from "Original" Imperial Provinces(Cyrodill, High Rock, Morrowind, Skyrim, and Black Marsh) to become Imperial Provinces themselves. Therefore, a lot of things could've happened during and right after the civil war. The region started in 4E 202 right? in the five years of this region's existence, how come it only went 1 year into the future? I would think we've reached the 5th Era by now when I first joined this region. All I'm saying is, its time for the future, if not then I will be patient about it and move on.

(I will be OOC here too. I'd agree with Jern-Ulv, I really like the way you write, and I think your efforts show incredible results, so I'd love to see an end. One potential resolution, although I'm not quite sure about the semantics of it, is that the World could go through a Dragon Break during the Invasion, because of some legendary hero stuff, though I don't know the specific lore behind it, other than that it breaks the linear timeplot.)

Oh whoops haha, I should've guessed from the name. How did an orc become king of Skyrim holds?

Ogrug-Gat and Idgod Ravencrone talked it over Since it wasn't a "Stormcloak" Plot because she was on the Imperial side of the civil war. I married a Nord and have 2 Nord daughters. I became Thane after helping the people of Hjaalmarch. I retired as legionnaire to either work at home or work for Hjaalmarch Hold Guards. I chose to work with the Hold Guards for a very long time. Then Ogrug-Gat and Idgod talked it over, she asked me who would be the leader of the Kingdom. I said, lets duel for it. I used my "Art of Nitoryu"(Two-sword dancing) against her for a good 8 hours, she actually stabbed me in the leg but I stood my ground, I cut her up a little bit with my 2 Bounded swords then she forfeits. I became the chosen High King of the newly profound Kingdom of Hjaalmarch. The duel lasted for 8 hours so it was a very intense fight for a 40-50ish year old Nord woman. We both get patched up, she remains Jarl, Then it's my duty to Declare Independence through Diplomacy from the Empire. We sent a letter to the Emperor to come to Morthal to discuss it, I'm sure he thought it was another Stormcloak plot until he realized it was from a Hold that fought for the Empire's side. He came, the High Queen of Skyrim came, agreed to the terms, then boom I became High King of Hjaalmarch and Hjaalmarch becomes the Independent Kingdom in 4E 222. 6 years later in 4E 228, The Jarls of The Pale and Winterhold(Both Imperials) saw more benefits in joining with Hjaalmarch as its Holds, due to the Empire being somewhat broken as well as Skyrim due to the chaos of the civil war which was totally understandable. I honestly thought it was a plot for either the Pale or Winterhold to take us over but turns out it was false, they wanted to leave Skyrim and the Empire too. So I agreed to it, but the final decision was up to the High Queen Elisif and Emperor Titus Mede II. Weeks of Negotiations and paperwork go by, then the "Treaty of Secession" was signed. After that, Hjaalmarch became 2 Holds bigger, Skyrim got smaller but getting better due to not having as much land to worry about anymore, and the Empire still has all of Skyrim. The Other holds didn't seem interested in us due to the fact that one im an Orc and two we are extremely poor lol. So that's basically the brief history on how I became High King of Only 3 out of the 9 Skyrim Holds. As a roleplayer, me having all of Skyrim, I feel that would not be fair and it would be way OOC for Skyrim in general.

(Lol well thanks everyone for the compliments. Personally I don't mind if we have a timeskip, or how far into the future that timeskip goes. A timeskip could actually work very well for me with how I planned to end the Second Trollz Saga. It's more a matter of just needing some time to finish off what is at hand in a decent fashion before that time skip occurs. )

(Ah, don't worry it too much. I was here years ago, as Voljundok. If any old members are here in new accounts, they'll know me.

I don't remember what year we eventually got to before I quit the region to go elsewhere. But I don't think we got past 210... And I was here for a good 2-3 irl years)

(From the other posts it sounded like the akaviri were going for Solitude, so I just situated a naval battle at a familiar location in that area. I didnt mean that the akaviri are based at volkihar. A woops on my part)
