This is a fallacy for a number of reasons:

* If you die, you should feel nothing
* If you die and go to hell, you'd feel a lot more pain
* If you die and go to heaven, you'd not feel any pain

But what if death is really just a transition to the early stages of a cold?

If you die, you feel it right up until the point you suffocate from failure to oxygenate your brain.
There is no hell worse than a complete lack of stimulus.
There is no happiness without context; there must be pain for pleasure to exist.
If you're reincarnated, you must go through the most physically traumatic experience anyone has ever survived: Being born. The mitochondrial conversion from organ to organism is akin to having every cell in your body set on fire, even worse than surviving lethal injection. (Fun Fact: The reason the lethal injection process includes a paralytic is not for the person's sake, but for the sake of onlookers. Most find it disturbing to watch someone writhing in screaming agony.)
