In all fairness, America has military bases all across the globe for very stupid reasons.
That being said, after looking up a map of US military bases, I am happy to announce that a base with personnel under 200 is called a Lily Pad, so, by extended logic, I am a US military base.

*waves, while listening to "We both reached for the Gun"*

Ooh, I've been meaning to murder someone in Chicago and then cover it up.

Fun fact: "We Both Reached For The Gun" is based on the time Drystar and I competed in our company's retreat which just turned out to be The Hunger Games but with hundreds of highly trained murderers and thousands of support staff from payroll and human resources.

Drystar wrote:As long as no one sparkles, otherwise I’m burning this place down and moving to HiberNationStates

He doesn't sparkle so much as he shines after bathing in the blood of those he murdered.

Better, no?

Just because you don’t understand why, doesn’t make it stupid

How many Lily Pads do they have on planet? You could be an empire in your own right!

Less of a “I don’t know why” and more of a “I’d rather America spend their money on reasonable things like bringing home milk and bread to their starving children rather than decorating their odd man cave with high grade explosives.”

Ja, but still, Trump needs to not buy Greenland and stay with buying Puerto Rico, we don't need 52 stars, America is only nation that has 50 stars on it's flag. We have enough states, we don't need no more. Just stick with maybe buying Puerto Rico.

Drystar wrote:Just because you don’t understand why, doesn’t make it stupid

I don't understand why my nephew is the way he is, but I do know he's stupid. Handsome and charming, yes, but not very bright.

I don't understand why people think women of childbearing age shouldn't be able to choose when to have children, but I do know it's stupid to force the decision on them.

I don't understand why loving someone not of the opposite sex is considered immoral or wrong, but I do know it's stupid to think that way.

You don't always have to understand something to know it's stupid.

I certainly don't understand you, after all.

Buying something you own is making a net-profit. I mean, you get both the value of your money and what you buy!

That's not how that works, dear.

That's not why he has to not buy Greenland; it's more that he wants to drill for oil, accelerating global warming and the melting of Greenland itself. Because money in the hands of greedy rich people is more important than the future of the planet.

I know but,
That's what I meant by not needing 52 stars because, there's no use in buying Greenland if it is melting

The US has 16 territories, so you would think "buying" Greenland would put them in line to be the 67th star... assuming the US moon base doesn't apply for statehood before them, lol.

Anyway... no countries are "for sale" by their monarchs... asking Denmark to "sell" Greenland would be the same as asking Britain to sell Canada just because they also happen to share our queen.

Hello everyone.

I am writing this dispatch in response to the one written by Great algerstonia that currently has 65 upvotes. Yes, what has happened is true. Sony has pulled Spider-Man out of the MCU. And like may of you, I was disappointed. I was loving Homecoming and Far from Home and believed that Tom Holland's series had great potential. But unfortunately, like every single Valve game, a third installment looks unlikely.

I was furious when I first heard the news. How could Sony do this? Tony Stark died for Spider-Man in one of the most emotional scenes of the MCU! However, after doing further research, it looks like the recent development with Spiderman may not have been Sony's fault.

Disney originally had a deal with Sony that gave them 5% of all Spider-Man profits. However, very recently, Disney tried to renegotiate this deal to 50%. FIFTY PERCENT! Tell me my friends, if you were Sony, would you just give in to Disney's greed?

And yes, while I agree fans should be infuriated with this debacle, I think most of the blame should be directed at Disney, not Sony.

Thank you, and be sure to upvote so everyone on NS is made aware of this.

P.S. Maybe Tom Holland's recent Instagram post with Robert Downey Jr hints at a deal made, but who can say for sure.

I absolutely agree that Disney is way too greedy, but if you think about it it could be justified if you look at it in a certain light. I mean Disney produces these awesome movies and they do through all the effort of making it with a ton load of CGI and stuff, and then Sony swoops in and takes 95% of the profits. I believe they are both to blame in certain ways. Sony is greedy. Disney is greedy. And the fans just want to see some more Tom Holland.
