The Dagorite Galactic Utopia of Voopmont

Voopmont, officially the Dagorite Galactic Utopia of Voopmont is a large nation located in universe BF-VA-CR of RMB space. The country identifies as an extreme social democracy, as private ownership and capitalism are still in place despite almost complete government control of the economy. It is considered to be one of the most influential nations in the multiverse, holding both diplomatic and economic leverage over surrounding superpowers. Voopmont is part of Urana Firma and The United Federations, and is also considered one of their most developed countries. It manages to attain this despite a colossal population of over 54.1 sextillion sentient biological beings spread over 1.3 trillion solar systems. Voopmont is considered by many international organizations, indexes and news sources to be one of the most developed, rich, and free nations in The United Federations. It has no cities which stand out much in population, although the four most populous by metro area are, in order, Arania city, Courtwern, Outrem and Old Artemis with 889, 847, 831 and 796 billion residents, respectively. Liberio is Voopmont's capital city and has a population of 642 billion. The country is home to many international organizations such as the United Federations Multiversal Assembly and the Alliance for the Betterment of Living Standards. Voopmont is a very technologically and scientifically advanced nation, scoring an impressive 410 on the Updated Sci-Fi Tech Ability Benchmarks scale. Many things stand out about Voopmont, particularly how pleasant life is in the country, as shown by multiple verified studies, Voopmontians are some of the happiest people in the multiverse. Many theories have come up claiming a deeper meaning to this fact, a leading one is the extremely liberal and accepting nature of the country, leaving residents with the fewest worries possible.

Voopmont runs an education system where the basis of their grades is how much work and the quality of it they do for each subject.1 Students do six years of elementary school, three years of junior high, and three years of senior high school. After this they have the choice of attending a tertiary education institution for free, unless they attend a fully private university[2]. Students are required by law to attend school until the end of senior high. The government provides a very large budget for education, which is a consequence of a left wing, educated populace who values education as a key element in building a utopia. Educational methods in the country are very libertarian, not abiding by traditional methods and instead focusing on the comfort of the students and the quality of the experience. This focus allows for more motivated students, making them learn much more effectively. This was proven by Voopmont's results in the Universe BF-VA-CR International Academic Standards Test[3], scoring an average of 98 in math, 100 in language arts, 100 in science and 99 in social studies per student[4]. The focus is for the class to learn what they want and at their pace, creating a population much more diverse in knowledge.

Voopmont runs a universal healthcare program that is accessible to all citizens. This system does not require them to have any kind of health insurance, it is payed for through state and government owned companies. Treatment is also available to all homeless people with a citizenship in order to help rehabilitate them provided they do end up homeless. Funding is provided by the federal government and distributed by provincial governments. Thanks to highly advanced technology and high funding, medical treatments and methods are very effective, as proven with Voopmont's average life expectancy of 102 years old. Even this is an understatement because Voopmont's healthcare program focuses on health span rather than lifespan, having one of 90 years old, respectively. Thanks to advances in biotechnology and genetic engineering, the happiness decline with age is much lower than one would normally see in a nation, mainly as a cause of consistent physical integrity throughout their lifetimes. Private healthcare is completely legal, although it never gained any relevance due to it lacking many technologies the main system uses.

The galaxies Voopmont encompasses are moderately dense, having approximately 2.6 trillion stars over a diameter of 3.5 megaparsecs. Isolation has plagued Voopmont for thousands of years, only a handful nations have ever established enough connection with it to trade on a large scale. The most interaction it's had with the outside for most of its history was intergalactic war. Since then more efficient FTL technology beyond the interstellar scale has been developed, allowing native ships to easily traverse the outer universe. To this day Voopmont is the most powerful empire in its native universe. It is one of three nations in it's universe part of The United Federations, the others being Beatitas and Cevlaia. Shipgod is also in a neighbouring universe, which sparked cooperation in case of war against Neo Gyelidor. Voopmont is separated into 1 million provinces, each containing 90,000-6,700,000 solar systems.

Metropolitan

Most of the inhabited territory within its borders is urban, creating much more ease of access and equality in the distribution of services. This also allows a much more developed transport network, using the big buildings to their advantage when planning out the locations of roads. Most surfaces are used as green space to increase air quality and beauty, despite having extremely low pollution technologies. This fact is mainly because of the very high infrastructural density in these urban areas, leading to a low amount of available surface area and little room for aesthetics. Few cities stand out from the rest, although there are some exceptions such as Liberio, its capital and one of its largest cities, Keith, the empire's origin, Tortalia, the largest stock exchange in the country by a factor of six and the September City Administrative Zone, Voopmont's central military base. Voopmont tries to make its cities as beautiful as possible to increase happiness among its citizens and attract tourists. Public pools and lakes can be seen extremely often, the main uses of which are tourism, beautifying cities and fitting the needs of the partially aquatic Bowalians.

The country's signature physical characteristic is the architecture and infrastructure beyond anything else in the multiverse. It's home to one of the most elegant mixtures of nature and futuristic architecture ever seen, attracting hordes of tourists and rich retirees. Voopmont has struggled to maintain a young enough population due to high immigration from rich foreigners, usually old, mostly thanks to the extensive and beautiful infrastructure unique to the nation. Heavy automation allows cheaper construction of more complex structures, a fact Voopmont has taken full advantage of. The raw materials used for construction of new infrastructure are usually imported from the People's Extragalactic Armed Force at controlled prices. The money gained from it is invested back into the economy as subsidies or public projects.

Energy

Electricity and energy is mainly provided by Dyson Spheres, but is transported using rows of spacecraft and outposts to transmit large amounts of it. This method is extremely effective because it doesn’t rely on a single row, preferring to diversify and be less dependent. Fuel cells are almost all fusion powered, as it’s an efficient and cheap source of energy. An inhabited planet's entire energy network is interconnected with the purpose of staying functional when major damages occur. Most Voopmontian energy goes towards industrial production, mainly for government owned automation. A high amount of energy is used for agriculture because Voopmont produces enough to fit its own needs and still export a massive amount. In most locations isolated from high value celestial objects energy comes from large mass-energy conversion plants, although almost all small scale energy is from cheaper nuclear fusion. Fusion powers most spaceships, although larger ones and military craft use the more expensive mass-energy conversion reactor.

Space Infrastructure

The Skyhook has been one of the most revolutionary technologies in the history of Voopmont since its inception 34,000 years ago.

Voopmont has an extensive network of space infrastructure matched by none in the universe. Planets are flooded with space elevators and skyhooks for mass space transportation. Space elevators are mainly used as launching platforms for travel to far away solar systems or galaxies because of sufficient infrastructure to power the initial launch. A skyhook's main purpose is cheap and fast space travel for small or medium sized ships, interstellar travel is viable when using skyhooks on a smaller scale. Moons are frequently used as outposts for redirecting travellers or facilitating mining of fuel for nuclear fusion. Large space stations are very popular as chalets for a multitude of environments such as forests, ski resorts and beaches. Many probes are put in place in orbit around planets to remove space junk. The methods of doing so vary, usually by magnets or laser blasts.

Transportation

Voopmont has very developed transportation infrastructure, its personal transportation vehicles are both cheap and efficient. Vehicles are self-driven and connected to a network of them used to coordinate in an efficient manner. These appliances are cheap because they are as minimal as possible, being powered and moved by tracks that they connect to. Tracks are placed everywhere with space, like on the sides or insides of buildings. Large scale merchandise transportation is done via an elaborate system of underground trains, which are reserved exclusively to commercial products. Cities and major urban centres are connected by hyperloop lines which ease demand for road connections and provide a quicker alternative.

Voopmont originates on planet Keith, sixty-thousand years ago. Back then, two rival species emerged and began fighting for dominance. These two species were the Sorarians and the Ishvalans. They fought countless wars which drove innovation on a huge scale, quickly pushing them past the stone age. Each species had founded their own nation, the Sorarians in Vookadia and the Ishvalans in Dagora. These wars kept getting harsher and harsher thanks to the development of more destructive weapons. The fighting quickly spread to space after twenty five thousand years. For another fifteen-thousand years, they kept up the constant struggle for power, feeding the economy of the small but rich nation of Bowalia. In an era of peace but dangerous tension, both nations declared war on each other after a miscommunication at the border resulted in the destruction of multiple Vookadian military vessels. The eighth Arania war was declared in year 48,857, both nations began to gather allies and started a campaign for utter destruction of their enemies. The war ended in a blast after 14 years of fighting, with entire militaries and countries disappearing completely. It is estimated that 25% of the total population of the supercluster died, a number unmatched by any other war by a significant margin. The two nations remained in isolation from each other for four thousand more years, leading to a huge decline in the Bowalian stock market. In year 53,042 the leaders of Dagora and Vookadia agreed to reopen trade between them. Travel between the two resumed shortly after. Meanwhile, Bowalia had been transitioning from a largely black market and weapon-based economy to a developed regional power. The three began engaging in closer relations and achieved a level of contact not seen before. This started out as treaties between the nations allowing for peace and trade, but it soon led to the full unification of Vookadia, Dagora and Bowalia under the Dagorite Galactic Utopia of Voopmont in the year 56,111. It is currently year 60,043.

Ancient Culture

Both Ishvalan and Sorarian culture used to emphasize hate of the other species. Old Ishvalan religion taught that Sorarians were a challenge given to them by god, and that the goal was to beat them in every way possible. Sorarians were taught in school that Ishvalans were a threat to the multiverse, and that it was their duty to play a part in their downfall. The most touched on part of Voopmont's ancient culture is the practice of hunting and eating primitive humans in old Vookadia and Dagora, mostly Dagora. The practice persisted into the founding of Voopmont, although became much less popular after coming into contact with more advanced humans. It was outlawed in year 57,490 in order to seem more civilized in the eyes of their human allies.

The Voopmontian political process is widely regarded as one of the most pure in the multiverse. There are many key elements in this rating, including the high education level, proportional representation and compulsory voting justification. The population is required to write a 500 word justification of why they’re voting for that person. The only requirements of it are relevance to the candidate and making sense. The objective is to get voters to use critical thinking when deciding on a national leader. Children are taught in junior high school about politics and what to look at when deciding their vote. Citizens are not permitted to donate over 1000 Voops to any political campaign to prevent any form of plutocracy.

Government

Voopmont's parliament building, located on mount Sorba, Liberio

The government of Voopmont has been criticized much for being biased towards Sorarians and Ishvalans, the two main species. These accusations have had significant evidence multiple times, although they are becoming less true with time. Voopmont boasts an impeccable score of 97 on the LinkCorruption Perceptions Index, a score matched only by Beatitas in the native universe. The Voopmontian parliament is elected through a system of Linkproportional representation where each riding has 20 members of parliament (MPs), these MPs are elected using ranked choice voting. These ridings have a population ranging from 15 million to 25 million eligible voters. The prime minister is the head of the ruling party and has legislative power over the country and that to approve or disapprove a national budget. The president is elected as a separate office, they manage foreign affairs, act as an executive, and appoint ministers. The four major political parties are the Liberal Party of Voopmont, the Conservative Party of Voopmont, the Libertarian Union and the Socialist League. The Socialist League is a semi authoritarian, left wing extremist party which originally wanted Voopmont to turn socialist, although has now transitioned to simply being an extremist party. The Liberal Party of Voopmont is a left wing libertarian party which has been considered very competent by the voter population since the beginning of consistent stability in Voopmont. The Conservative Party of Voopmont is a centrist party with slightly authoritarian ideals. It too is considered a very competent party as shown by it's title of "most frequently elected party". The Libertarian Union is a right wing, extreme libertarian party which has an almost unchanging 15% popular vote and seat count. It is the only one of the four parties to never have gotten elected. Elections happen every 4 years on both the provincial and federal levels. Each province has their own parliamentary elections and prime minister, formally known as a premier.

International Politics

Voopmont is part of the United Federations Multiversal Assembly (UFMA), a local organization which aims to help developing countries and grow the influence of larger ones. The country is also a member of many other organizations such as The Alliance for the Betterment of Living Standards, The Celestine Alliance and The Alliance of Peace and International Cooperation. The country enjoys healthy relations with a number of nations, including Beatitas, Coryanhafflaruda, Dabberwocky, The New United Socialist Random Empire and Cevlaia. It manages to keep such connections much thanks to the skill and integrity of their diplomats, known for being exceptionally polite and reasonable. Voopmont's diplomats are very effective when using these skills, usually managing to gain progress in international affairs over twice as fast as normal ones.

The People's Extragalactic Armed Force is the official name for Voopmont's army. It is completely self-financed by strip-mining barren, inhospitable planets to expand its size. It operates as a separate entity from the country but is bound to it by the directive of serving the mainland. This causes an effect where the military has a population of its own. Despite Voopmont's small size compared to the other major powers of The United Federations, the People's Extragalactic Armed Force has significant influence across the entire universe, making it a force to be reckoned with even among the more powerful members. When not in active duty to the mainland, the force spends its time refining their skills and reputation by acting as a sort of universe spanning police force. The army's signature and most destructive weapon is the Oblivion Gun, a planet-sized superweapon used for blowing up planets or large fleets. The Oblivion Gun's fire is undetectable because it delivers the shots by quantum tunneling them using faster-than-light technology. Most of the force is comprised of carrier vessels containing fighter sized dual purpose drones for mining and combat. Their main weapon is a machine gun that shoots Perfect mass -> energy conversion bullets. It has 50,000,000 shots with an explosion size of 10 meters in radius. The drone can manufacture its own ammunition with the resources it gathers from mining and fire at a max rate of 1000 shots a second.[5] There exists a slightly larger variant of the bullet which releases it as kinetic energy instead at the cost of some efficiency. The carriers for drones are equipped with multiple thousand railgun turrets, each shooting with a hundred trillion joules of force. They have one way force fields, blocking everything that comes in its way, there's also a setting for blocking matter or energy. Cruisers also have a few hundred anti air turrets and hidden hatches for atomic torpedoes, which can be set to a certain level of radiation release. Their armour is exceptionally thick, unlike fodder drones. The ship hull is mostly comprised of Platinum-Carbon-Obsidian alloy, the sturdiest material the military has, being able to easily smash through brick structures and survive canon fire without a scratch. Their signature strategy is using high tech EMP arrays to knock out the defensive systems of less advanced opponents and swarm them with drones. When outmatched or outnumbered, the preferred strategy is staying far from the enemy and sniping them with long range turrets from the protection of their one way shields. Drones can convert their main combat systems into powerful artillery whose shots can travel 200 kilometres and maintain full destructive potential. Most carriers are equipped with multipurpose hull, with the added ability to turn into thrusters, self repair mechanisms and heavy ion cannons. The military has displayed a willingness to be ruthless at times, for example with Planet Lighter cannons, a railgun designed specifically for the purpose of creating a chain nuclear fusion reaction which ignites a planet's atmosphere. It is rarely ever used, although if employed correctly has the potential to wipe out entire type 1 civilizations with a single shot. The fleet has 3 main long range assault tactics. The first is nukes made of antimatter, creating a massive explosion with highly unstable antimatter shrapnel, which explodes on contact with any normal matter. This is particularly effective against drone swarms as it eliminates millions with ease through its immense area of effect. The second is a dreadnought-sized version of the Oblivion Gun. It doesn't have anywhere near as much destructive potential or range, although can still launch blasts multiple kilometres in radius from multiple solar systems away. When very close to its target, or within the approximate range of 500 million kilometres, the blast strength can be turned up to the size of a large city. The third is using a LinkCaplan thruster on a star and converting the matter shot out into energy, then using quantum gates to teleport it at the enemy. This technique can produce an explosive force of 70-1200 earth volumes per second, and can be used for atmospheric ignition from universes away. It is a clear superior to the Oblivion gun, although requires undisturbed use of an entire star and is a much more demanding construction project. This is widely known as the Caplan Beam.

Voopmont wrote:---Black Hole Sniper---
The basic premise of the black hole sniper is to gravity slingshot ammunition using a black hole and wormhole it to the enemy. It can get up to half the speed of light, and has 30 gigatons of tnt of energy in it, using relativistic calculations. Each munition is be 10 metric tons in weight and has mass-to-energy conversion thrusters at the back to steer and take advantage of the black hole's gravity accordingly. This process can be done with smaller munitions too depending on the size of the target.

Neo Gyelidor Matchup

Voopmont and Neo Gyelidor share one of the most studied military matchups in The United Federations and Exterminators. The popularity of this fiction arose during the cold war between the two countries around 30 years ago. Although there is much debate, Voopmont is now confident in their ability to win this hypothetical war. Counter technology has been developed against them, such as the standard anti-ship railguns on capital ships, which have enough force to tear through their ships like a shotgun. Their ground forces are also clearly outmatched when put up against simple drones, being comparable or even slightly inferior to the army's planetary force, the least technologically advanced branch. Their navy is also easily dealt with using orbital bombardment, and likely won't make any difference. Their mothership is easy to combat, as it would only require one million oblivion gun shots to completely annihilate, and likely less than 50,000 to disarm. They could almost certainly push back any invading forces, although would never be able to pull off an invasion either. Voopmont does not have the resources to sustain a sizeable enough military to invade them, but has a low enough casualty rate to crush any offensive on their home turf. Neo Gyelidor's poor ship structures also mean single hits could take down a whole capital ship. There are strategies that Voopmont has come up with to maintain a successful offensive war, but lack the necessary damage to topple the enemy. The main focus of it is to demoralize the population by attacking cultural and strategic locations such as Neo Gyelidor city, which could be annihilated quickly using atmospheric ignition techniques, which are unviable in Voopmont due to shielded off ridings. Gyelidoria could be ended this way or using an oblivion gun shot to the core, which would leave the surface in ruins and likely kill all macro scale life. The scientific research station is an easy target for orbital bombardment and weather manipulators would be useless, even a liability if on the field. Ackermans could be eliminated using nanites and destroyed via railgun. Armageddon Bombas would never be able to be deployed efficiently on the battlefield, since shooting them into empty space wastes a lot of resources. This would happen because Voopmontian ships don't sit in the open, they use guerilla tactics, waiting for the right moment to strike and bombard them with railgun fire and antimatter nukes. Death Stars are not as easy to take down, although could be dealt with using mini oblivion guns and a small fleet of sacrificial subcapital ships carrying nuclear payloads and powerful shields. Even their "universally feared" wasps would be easily dealt with using EMPs and would need to reveal themselves to do any damage whatsoever. Everything else they could throw at the country could be dealt with using Caplan Beams. On top of this, war between the two would likely spark intervention by the Random Empire and especially Coryana, who can likely pull off a successful invasion of Neo Gyelidor on their own. Intervention by other Exterminators such as the Dragunrenifogun Empire would be mostly irrelevant and would even leave invasion opportunities for Voopmont. Furthermore, if Coryana gave Voopmont technology to hide their universe, Neo Gyelidor could be reduced to nothing but their fleets within 100 days using Caplan Beams installed wherever possible.

The country is universally considered one of the safest places in the multiverse, mainly due to low crime rates and extensive general precautions but also because of their high neutrality in large scale war. Voopmont has only had much aggression with smaller or less capable countries such as Shipgod and former Neo Gyelidor. Due to this assured peace, there is also an immigration problem with foreign wealth. The generally high density of Voopmontian cities also discourages crime since criminals can't easily escape the scene without being noticed and tracked. Although standard crime rates are very low, violent crime in particular is inconceivably non-existent. Over time from the transition of Dagora, Vookadia and Bowalia to Voopmont the population has transitioned to committing intellectual crimes such as tax fraud, which create no safety hazard.

Law Enforcement

Law enforcement is minimal as a consequence of an educated populace in the mindset that only through cooperation can they succeed. Voopmont does not implement prisons, preferring to rehabilitate its criminals and keep them under close supervision. Marijuana and many other drugs are legal but supervised. No law enforcement is required for road misconduct as vehicles are self-driven. The police force does not require many staff members because it is extremely well funded and highly automated. Police units are considered a very rare sight in Voopmont, mostly because demand for them is simply non-existent. The police force is funded by the People's Extragalactic Armed Force, although administered by the Voopmontian government.

Voopmont's economy is hyper-efficient as a consequence of widespread automation. The economy is broadly diversified, although centered around safer industries such as spacecraft manufacturing, research and development and natural resource exports. The government spends much on corporate welfare so workers can be paid high wages and startups can survive. The economic structure is very stable and functional, with most economists agreeing that a recession would simply force it to redistribute resources and lose efficiency but still stay completely afloat. State-owned industry accounts for over 95% of the economy, allowing extremely high spending without accumulation of debt. The nation's markets are so stable that almost all debt securities are considered 'AA' at the minimum. Economic growth is a steady 4%, driven by population growth, scientific advancement and a still expanding industrial base. Inflation is a steady 2% and has been since the universal recession 37 years ago, when it dropped to 1%. Voopmont is both a paradise for the working class and small startups, while large corporations are viewed less favourably by the populace and government.

Artificial Intelligence in the Economy

Most of Voopmont’s productivity comes from government owned automated industry, something which allows them to keep taxes fairly low and still maintain high spending without accumulating debt. Automation technology is widely used to efficiently perform organized tasks lacking the requirement of human logic as to free up the jobs requiring the skills of the biological population]. A good example of this would be farming. Food production is done exclusively via vertical farming, making the job perfectly in line with the ideas of organized and low skill work while lacking the need for complex intelligence. The nation's spacecraft manufacturing industry is almost entirely controlled by state-owned manufacturers. Voopmont has claimed a spot as one of the universe's leading book publishers and a powerhouse in many other industries using its cheap, quick, and advanced mechanized factories.

Welfare

Because of the takeover of the Voopmontian economy by automation, so little is made from jobs that the government had to put in place three fundamental welfare programs in order to stop the biological economy’s fall. The first program is a universal basic income, all citizens receive 2000 Voops of untaxed basic income every month in order to keep the economy in a functional state and to drastically reduce homelessness. This program has very few disadvantages, the only major one being inflation issues, which are carefully managed and kept under control. The second program is a government subsidy program, businesses are even encouraged to sell at a loss to keep Voopmont competitive while using biological employees and are rewarded with subsidies for paying their workers high wages. The money used to fund these programs comes from the export of products made by government owned industry. The third program is free public housing for students and the newly employed. These homes are small but not particularly cheap, made to provide a decent quality of life to students while they gain an education, but lacking enough that they're encouraged to work hard to advance. Standard welfare is widely available and requires little bureaucracy so it can be acquired during the small average gap between periods of employment.

Biological Sector

The population of Voopmont enjoys a very favorable financial situation, mostly due to universal basic income and high welfare spending. The biological sector of the economy is not very diversified, but still dominated by the service sector. Very little productivity comes out of sentient beings, making the difference between nominal GDP per capita and average income very significant. To maintain a healthy economy, citizens are encouraged to invest in developing sectors to help speed their growth. The two dominating sentient-run industries are the financial and entertainment sectors. The nation is the finance hub of the supercluster, employing over 35% of the working population. Unemployment rates are kept at an extremely low 0.7%, due to the practically indefinite number of automation management jobs available for workers of any qualification or skillset. These are used tactically by the government to control unemployment while providing more work opportunities in the financial, entertainment, or other sectors.

Sorarians

Sometimes described as "plant people", Sorarians are light green skinned and nimble creatures. They average 1.70 meters in height for males and 1.63 meters for females. Their signature feature is photosynthesis, which allows them to require less calories and oxygen to function normally. They are very heat sensitive, and need more water than other species to survive. They average 56 kilograms in mass for males and 52 kilograms in weight for females. They are very humanoid, although much smaller although maintain a similar brain size. This leads to an average IQ 15% percent higher than humans. Due to photosynthesis they are capable of staying without oxygen for longer periods of time, leading to an exceptional capability in water based environments. They were the original founders of Vookadia, an interstellar militaristic nation built around their endless hate for the Ishvalan species. It merged into Voopmont along with Dagora and Bowalia in year 56,111. Conspiracy theories have arisen, mostly in less educated nations, about how it's impossible a species so peaceful and progressive could be such xenophobes. Sorarians make up 42% of the nation's biological population.

Ishvalans

Ishvalans are slightly larger humanoids known for their unique visual traits and absurd street smarts. Their physique is fairly tall and muscular, having an average height of 1.80 meters for men and 1.70 meters for women. Some of the most notable traits they possess are the ability to digest many organic substances not considered edible by humans such as tree fibres and leaves, and an inner biology made to sustain a small population of bacteriophages for fighting disease. Ishvalans make up most of the country's military and a significant portion of the police force. The species is often attributed to being highly traditional and religious. They were the founding species of Dagora, a socialist constitutional monarchy in Arania galaxy on the other side of the Arania wars than Vookadia. The species hasn't evolved much since the ages of early Dagora on Keith, the only noticeable difference being a slight increase in cognitive ability. They have traditionally been closer to Bowalians than Sorarians due to their early ties with Bowalia in the time of Dagora, leading to larger demographic concentrations of the two species together. Ishvalans make up 35% of the nation's biological population.

Bowalians

Bowalians are a dual aquatic-terrestrial species originating in the Omashu system. They have small fins littered across their body and a tail to help them swim, as water is their natural habitat. Their tails have through evolution gotten smaller with their transition to a more land based environment, although are still a significant part of their physique. Bowalian skin is described as a "more rubber version of human skin" and maintains a mix of light blue and green on the surface. Bowalians make up 16% of the nation's biological population.

Religion

Voopmont is a very religiously diverse place thanks to a multitude of cultures and ethnicities. The most popular and Voopmont’s national religion is Multiverlism, a close variant of Univerlism. Multiverlism worships each universe as a god of its own, but thinking of the multiverse as a whole as the ultimate deity, with individual universes being only semi-seperate entities from that one multiverse. It is important to know that when referring to the universe, it’s the space and matter inside that universe that is referred to. The logic behind it is that it’s that matter and space which are the contents of that universe, therefore the universe itself. This religion is not very different than worshipping the laws of physics, except viewing them as an entity of their own. This practice is more of an appreciation for the universe and less of a traditional take on religion. Voopmont’s second largest religion is Shrekism, a cult of personality focused around Shrek, one of the most influential people in modern Voopmontian history. Shrek served as prime minister of Voopmont for 4 full terms, cooperating well with both presidents of his time to create a well established UBI, reform public transportation, balance the national debt, and create a long lasting era of economic prosperity. His honesty and brilliant policymaking skills have inspired large emphasis on him in history courses and private life. Shrekism accounts for 29% of the population while Multiverlism accounts for 35%, 46% of the population is irreligious and 22% follow alternative religions. Because of the nature of many of these religions, a very large population follows multiple of them. This can be easily shown by the statistic that only 18% of the Shrekist population uniquely follows Shrekism.

Courtwern Raptors

Courtwern Raptors are a highly intelligent animal species and the nation's most popular pet. They do, as the name suggests, originate in Courtwern. They were first discovered ~16,000 years ago by Ishvalans, although they spread to both Dagora and Vookadia because the Ishvalans had taken some just before being chased out of Courtwern by Sorarians. They are an intelligent, somewhat humanoid, mammalian species who resemble velociraptors, although with the differences of slightly subhuman height, human level body hair and a much more passive nature. It is extremely common to even have them roam houses on their own, as long as they're trained correctly. They require little instruction on how to act, compared to dogs they're very civilized. Raptors are used to help people who suffer from loneliness or depression, leaving them with a close enough connection and an entity that'll listen to them without making them feel guilt or anything similar.

Arania City, Central Sector

Arania City, Central Sector

Arania City, Central Sector

[2] Private universities are for the unnaturally gifted, costing an average of 10,000 Voops for tuition

[3] The exam is made much harder to adapt to more developed education systems

[4] This is also a result of the extremely high natural IQ of the species found in Voopmont
