Stories from the War Front

The History of The Coalition

The Coalition of The South Pacific has governed The South Pacific democratically for nearly a decade. For years each and every nation in the South Pacific has been free to Linkjoin the offsite forums, apply for citizenship (which takes a matter of only minutes) and would then immediately be added to the Assembly, the only lawmaking body the region has. Every citizen may propose a law. Every citizen gets one vote when voting on laws, and every citizen had an equal vote in electing our cabinet and Delegate. The South Pacific rarely ejected nations, and has always attempted to be less restrictive, we were even one of the last regions to finally ban all advertisements on our regional message board. Before this coup all the nations of The South Pacific had rights, and our leaders were restricted to follow our laws. We could endorse whoever we wanted, or refuse to endorse whoever we wanted. We could say whatever we wanted. And we may not have been able to get every single regional policy we suggested, but we had the right to have an equal say as any other nation. Since the coup, all of those rights are gone. New nations are ejected if they do not endorse Hileville, and no one but Hileville truly has a voice in this government. We members cannot vote for a policy he will follow, he will do as he wants. The South Pacific was a strong and democratic region under the Coalition, we were one of the larger among the five Pacifics, and now we are by far the smallest. It is a tragedy this once free and prosperous region is now choking to death under the tyrannical rule of a delegate propped up by foreign nations from user-created regions.

My Story

I joined TSP as a member of the NSA (formerly SPA) during the Warzone Australia operation. Having been the previous longest serving delegate there, I felt it was time for a new beginning. A new beginning is what I found here in TSP, going from a lowly NSA recruit to Minister of Justice on two separate terms followed by my current tenure as Minister of the Army. And this is where my story currently leads me, watching the region that gave me a new beginning being torn apart by a tyrannt.

What's to come?

Since TSP has seen many a coup before this, I know it will rise from this as a stronger region collectively. New nations will join and old nations will return, TSP will remain strong. And as a guide for new nations in TSP, If you come here for any reason just plan on leaving TSP better off then when you left it. Because that is what TSP stands for, allowing anyone to come into the region and letting them grow not only themselves but TSP as well. That is what keeps TSP going.

Thank you for reading about my story, and the story of The South Pacific. Please help us bring back freedom and democracy to The South Pacific by endorsing Drugged Monkeys and Tsunamy, it would also be helpful if you endorsed every nation endorsing Drugged Monkeys. Finally, feel free to join the Coalition on our Linkforum and apply for citizenship if you want!
