Sand is blown, blown by God, beauty of the desert in appearance, but in experience, a pretty terrible and extreme environment for an average human being. Sand is everywhere; In boots, faces, clothing, vehicles and houses. Two bootsteps appear, pushing off few particles of sand. These steps were made by a man, one who did not have native features, but he is overall holding a rifle he smuggled. The man's name is Gonzalo Navarro, he is a veteran in the coalition war against The Hydra State in Sygarius, and also a devout follower of Sanquis Christianity. Wearing a combat vest and a Shemagh, even tolerating this country's extreme heat, he awaits for high ranking men of this holy army that is fighting against a brute in human form. He is part of the LCF's Sierran majority brigade 'Serpies de la Cruz', but he would still wait for orders from the LCF's general. As he awaits by watching vehicles marked with crosses pass by, he sits on a very hot rock, which he could tolerate, saying his prayers.

The navy's approach.

The fleet that has sent amphibious assault ships have split up, diverting it's half to Ola F2, as the other half manage to merge with Ola F3, the one patrolling the waters of Islamist coasts. As the merge is in, the Ola F3 fleet soon attempts contacts with Islamist coastal patrols.

/\/\ This is Admiral Cazalla of Flota del Ola numero tres, we heard these coastal points are held by anti-Saddam factions, is that correct? /\/\

If things go really wrong, the F3 is ready.

At the Ola F2, they can see pro-Saddam forces march around the beaches from far away, and even military positions from satellite imagery. They are ordered to take action, as missile cruisers, accompanied by frigates and corvettes, head to the beaches, readying their weapons. Five fighter jets take off from aircraft carriers, with two of them having air-launched cruise missiles equipped. As the navy approaches, first missile launches were fired from missile cruisers, even if it's likely that the Levantine defenses would intercept them, they are hoping that it distracts the enemy from fighter jets.

Castle Beach

Levantine Government officers cast their gaze onto ocean horizon from their observation posts near the ruined crusader fort that gives the beaches their name. Their hearts fill with anticipation and dread as they see the San Sierran ships spread out on the horizon.

Orders are given quickly. Fedayeen man their foxholes, machine gun nests, and sniper positions. Mortars are loaded, bunkers are filled, sandbags lined in front of trenches, and IEDs placed along the beach. Tanks, armored fighting vehicles, and attack helicopters are held in reserve. Scores of regular army troops take positions behind the line of sand dunes directly facing the ocean.

All artillery units within range are put on standby.

Meanwhile, a response is sent to the San Sierrans by the FLA:

Many Saddamist troops in the area, we request military assistance in clearing the coast of the enemy

Back on the beaches, missiles streak into the air as the Fedayeen spot incoming fighters. SAM batteries open fire on approaching hostiles. The Citadel defense system also targets the cruisemissiles with their interceptors. One San Sierran cruise missile gets lucky and slams into the sand dunes, claiming 92 lives.

Saddamiya

A green acrid haze drifts through the bombed out streets of Saddamiya. Brigades of masked Fedayeen rush through the streets, tripping over disfigured dead bodies as they go. The rebel forces are rapidly closing in on their positions. All forces have been recalled to defend the main city center for a last stand against the Islamist filth.

After a month of bloody fighting that has claimed at the lives of at least 20,000 combatants and as many as 40,000 civilians, it appears that the FLA will emerge victorious.

All across Eastern Levantin, the scenes in Saddamiya repeat themselves. Overwhelmed and outgunned, Saddam's men are forced to carry out a strategic retreat.

Crusader-Islamist Conflict

With all available government troops being recalled to meet the Islamist offensive, the LCF and the Crusader Faction have a much easier time. In several days of fighting, a counterattack against the Saddamist enemy results in Christian forces doubling the size of their territory. This also results in a land border between the Islamists and Christians.

On a splendid morning in the lush valleys of Hayk Province, a new crisis begins. Soldiers of 21st Levantine Free Army Brigade run into the men of the Crusader Faction. A misunderstanding quickly erupts into fighting. Tanks roll into the area as smoke drifts across the hills. Over the next few weeks, an on and off struggle for dominance in Hayk will be fought between the two anti-government factions.

The Central Military Commission decides not to help any sides. Instead, the CMC will call the PMCs in and they will invade the nation. Then, the Marines and Orbital Shock Troops shall get in next

As they get farther and farther away from Irene, they eventually arrive at a checkpoint. Behind that, is completely untouched woods, spared from the ravages of the fires.

"20 or so miles away from this is New Cortheas. It's so connected with the natural world that even the raiders who had taken up residence didn't want to risk setting anything alight, for their own health. It made retaking the city rather easy, considering artillery wasn't being used."

As the transports pass, the guests can see Nymphs and other woodland beings enjoying themselves. A tunnel opens up in a small glade, and a dragon flies out, discussing Imperial politics with a Gnoll of all things. Imperial patrols are even more common here, but laxer, helping with groceries or dealing with the occasional dispute. But what is more noticeable is that when a guest blinks, those not human or kinfolk disappear from view, reappearing after another look. New Cortheas's Administrative Spire can be seen from here, with greenery being visible from the distance.

"Welcome to Imperial Territory." Sara says in greeting and invitation.

Apple looks over the scene; for just a fraction of a second, and only if you're very observant, he actually looks repulsed. Then he smiles. "A lovely place, Ms. Treant, but I must confess I'm not sure where we're supposed to go from here."

The ones I could think of so far was both the Mathaliin and Mathalnam not getting along well in a Brethren town.

Tensions have been building in this alcatus community for a while. Ostensibly, that tension is between two conflicting points of view: that they should return to San Sierra, now that it's safe, and that they shouldn't. Really, and predictably, the tension is between Mathaliin pushing reassimilation and Mathalnam having none of that talk. You go 'home' if you want, they say. We never were at home in San Sierra; we look too different. An experience you spoiled pansies will never understand. Then the word 'traitor' gets thrown around, and someone gets scratched, and everyone goes home mad. This has been the small town's 'normal' for a while.

Sara catches it loud in clear, but only smiles.
"Well, I'll give you two options. We can take a nice tour in New Cortheas and then I can summon the acting representatives of the 4% community to answer questions, since that is an important part of your visit here. Otherwise, we could drive thru New Cortheas, head to the Capital, and have you see where the majority of the 4% enhabit. Either way, I was hoping we could discuss matters of state after our tour. As well as this, I'll make sure that Granite here she shifts her view to Granite is able to get the information they need."

She pauses

"After all, it seems that you may not want to be around some of our denizens long, if I'm correct."
