Gleichfalls schönes verlängertes Feiertagswochenende!
Wir können uns entscheiden, wie wir um etwa 3 Tage vor Allerheiligen (Halloween) herum mit dem regelmäßig auftretenden Zombiespiel umgehen möchten - wenn überhaupt. Auch dies ist, wie N-Day, ein zeitlich begrenztes, individuell freiwilliges Zusatzspiel. Beschreibung vom letzen Jahr: page=news/2018/10/27/index.html
Interaktion ist bei der jährlichen Zombieplage nur innerhalb einer Region möglich. Das heißt praktisch: Wenn wir hier im Konsens so viele Zombies wie möglich haben wollen (embrace), lassen wir am besten die Region offen. Wenn es hier Leute gibt, die versuchen wollen, Zombies loszuwerden (research oder exterminate), ist ein temporäres regionales Passwort angesagt, damit keine gruseligen Untoten von hinzukommenden Nationen importiert werden. Die Research-Option ermöglicht mehr Überlebende. Die Exterminate-Option beschert eine Menge Tote. Wer viel Zeit hat und auch Lust hat, des öfteren zu klicken, kann sich hier gerne austoben. 2014 und 2015 waren wir wohl etwas im Zombiespiel aktiv. 2018, soweit ich mich erinnere, herrschte in Deutschland gähnende Apathie. Man will sich halt nicht dauernd mit einem Onlinespiel befassen. Dazwischen weiß ich nicht mehr.
Was mich persönlich betrifft: Ich kann in meiner Nation, je nach Mehrheitswunsch, auf research, exterminate oder embrace klicken. Ich sollte hoffentlich auch Zeit haben, einigermaßen gegen Beginn des 3-Tage-Massakers ein temporäres regionales Passwort einzurichten (für research oder exterminate). Um jedoch halbwegs signifikant den regionalen Anteil der Überlebenden (research), Toten (exterminate) oder Zombies (embrace) zu beeinflussen, muss man als Spieler über 3 Tage verteilt viele, viele Mausklicks machen. So ein recht unkreativer Spieltypus interessiert mich kaum. Es ist unwahrscheinlich, dass ich persönlich das regionale Ergebnis mit mehr als wenigen trägen Mausklicks in die eine oder andere Richtung beeinflussen mag. Was die Ausgangsposition angeht, richte ich mich gerne nach der Mehrheit.
Noch ein Extratipp: Sollte sich Deutschland 2019 mehrheitlich für research oder exterminate entscheiden, jemand aber den Wunsch verspüren, Zombies aktiv zu verbreiten, hat 
Louisistan / Ludwigreich eine Region extra zu Zombiezwecken. Falls Louis dieses Jahr Zeit und Lust hat, dort was zu machen, können sich eure Puppetnationen dort der Zombieförderung widmen: 10000 Zombies.
Nun zum reflektiven Teil. In Horror-Erzählungen der gegenwärtigen Popkultur machen Zombies einen kleinen, aber konstanten Topos aus. In den traditionellen Zombiemythen der Karibikregion liegt der Schwerpunkt der Erzählung darauf, dass ein Individuum gezielt mittels Magie seines Willens und seiner Rechte beraubt wird und für eine andere Person schuften muss: der einzelne Zombie als Horrorbild für die real erlebte Sklaverei. Die Zombies der gegenwärtigen Popkultur sind ansteckend, wollen lebende Menschen fressen, und werden zur gefährlichen Massenplage. Welche kollektiven Mythen sind hier am Werk? Welche Vorstellungen spiegeln Gegenwartsmenschen mit diesem Märchen?

Election Season
Since our last update, Delegate elections have been held. Former Delegate Kuriko returns to her post after defeating Sargon Reman. Aersoldorf was forced to step down from his post as Senator for Lyonesse East due to real life – the region thanks him for his service. Flemingisa was reelected as Senator for Himes West.
In the most recent round of Senate elections, Tanzoria did not run for re-election to his seat as Blue Canaria North senator. For that election, HumanSanity of MSPP defeated Marxist Germany of TCP. URI of TCP ran unopposed for her old seat as Senator for Lyonesse East. Senior Senator for New Republic South Dominion of Compassion of MSPP lost reelection to Aschente of TCP, a long time TITO contributor making his first foray into regional government.

Die Zombie-Umfrage ergab ein sehr entschiedenes "mir egal". page=poll/p=147892 Daher würde ich sagen, ohne vereinbarte Strategie und mühseliges Ballern sehe ich jetzt schon Deutschland weitestgehend von Zombies überrannt. Wir werden's mit Fassung tragen.

Willkommen, Das echte europa. Schön, dich wieder hier begrüßen zu können. Laut Forumprofil bist du in Hessen und magst klassische Musik, insbesondere Mozart? Bin auch Liebhaberin klassischer Konzerte. Demnächst kann ich mich auf Mendelssohn Bartholdy freuen. Was magst du am liebsten, Kammermusik, Solowerke, symphonische Musik, Chorwerke, Opern, von allem etwas?
Schön! Ich liebe Chorwerke, ich singe auch seit ungefähr 9 Jahren im Chor. Opern mag ich aber auch.
Leider bin ich nicht mehr in Hessen, und ich wohne stattdessen in Kalifornien. Ich vermisse es aber schon, da Hessen wirklich schön ist.
Hmmm, Chorwerke... Mozarts Requiem habe ich in einer Aufführung gehört, das geht echt unter die Haut. Von seinen Opern war ich mal in Cosi fan tutte, Handlung der übliche Opernunsinn mit super schöner Musik. Und natürlich in der allgegenwärtigen Zauberflöte, deren Handlung zwar auch sehr seltsam ist, aber musikalisch ein Hochgenuss.
Ah, dann lebst du ja jetzt ziemlich am anderen Ende der Welt. Hat dich eine kalifornische Firma eingestellt, oder bist du zur Ausbildung oder zum Studium hin? Beantwortest du manchmal diverse Fragen von Kollegen/Freunden dazu, wie das Leben hier drüben in Europa denn nun wirklich ist?
Das Lacrimosa ist wirklich was besonderes. Ich werde immer wieder dabei richtig emotional.
Meine Eltern arbeiten hier. Ich bin leider noch in der Schule. Meine kalifornische Freunde interessieren sich nicht wirklich für Europa oder Deutschland, aber ich habe auch Freunde aus anderen Ländern, die gerne fragen, ob wir nur Bier trinken. Ansonsten fragen sie nur, wie viele Nazis wir noch haben.

Es ist schön, euch dabei zu haben.
Ich stehe heutzutage immer mehr auf Kammermusik, die filigraner daherkommt. Kleine Quintette und Quartette und so. Aber manchmal erfreue ich mich auch an Großaufgeboten von Orchester und Chor, die alles auffahren, was an Musikern nicht rechtzeitig wegrannte. :)
Wenn du Schule mit leider einschränkst, bedeutet es, dass du mit deiner Schule nicht zufrieden bist, oder einfach Wunsch nach künftig mehr Selbständigkeit? Nur Bier - naja, auf dem Niveau braucht man auch kein Gespräch zu führen. Die Frage nach den Nazis ist ja traurigerweise aktuell, aber es hängt natürlich davon ab, ob jemand, der dich fragt, überhaupt an einer detaillierten Antwort über den Nazi-Terrorismus, die Morde und Morddrohungen interessiert ist. D.h. ob jemand den Mut hat, aktuelles Zeitgeschehen tatsächlich kennenzulernen.
Ich finde deine detaillierten Factbooks der diversen Nationen sehr kurzweilig und schön satirisch. Du probierst in deinen Nationen eine ganze Reihe ideologischer Varianten aus. Die Überwachung der Glaubensgemeinschaften und die Umbenennung der Städte ist ein gutes Beispiel von 'was wäre wenn's im Saarland zuginge wie in der DDR?'. Welches ist der Grund, warum du Namen realer Politiker einbaust, anstatt Personen zu erfinden? Liegt es daran, dass du so Fotos in dein fiktives Geschehen einbauen kannst? Falls ich es nach Jahren irgendwann einmal schaffe, dieser Nation ein Wiki-Factbook zu verpassen, versuche ich wahrscheinlich, alle Personen zu erfinden, und nur der Name Baden-Wuerttemberg wird an das echte Land erinnern. Diese Gratwanderung zwischen Fiktion und Satire der Realität ist schwierig zu meistern. Ich weiß nicht, ob ich das so gut hinbekommen würde wie du.
Ich interessiere mich halt für Alternate History, was letztendlich nichts als glorifizierte Was-wäre-wenn-Fragen sind. Der gute Erich war halt Saarländer, da fand ich es spannend darüber nachzudenken, was wäre, wenn er in seine Heimat zurückgekehrt wäre, anstatt in der DDR zu wirken. Außerdem lernt man durch solche Überlegungen ziemlich viele geschichtliche Fakten, die man zum Beispiel in der Schule nicht so mitkriegt. Beispiele sind etwa die Ernst-Thällmann-Insel vor Kuba, die der DDR semioffiziell von Castro geschenkt wurde, oder die Geschichte des Freien Territoriums Triest, von dessen Existenz man im Normalfall irgendwie nichts mitkriegt.
Dass man reale (oder gedoktorte) Bilder in den Artikeln verwenden kann, ist natürlich ein netter Vorteil, aber letztendlich ist es nur ein Interesse daran, was hätte gewesen sein können.

Einbisschen über meine "Nation": Lersen soll (rollenspiel-technisch) eigentlich keine Nation , sondern eine Kommune im Rheinland darstellen, genauer gesagt in einem alternativen Deutschland der 1960er. In diesem Universum wurde Deutschland nicht geteilt ; es existiert ein demokratisches und unabhängiges Deutschland (nach heutigen Grenzen) , welches jedoch als neutrales Gebiet und demilitarisierte Pufferzone zwischen NATO und Ostblock gilt.
Ich habe versucht bei den Issues eine sozial-liberale Haltung anzunehmen. Dies folgte jedoch dazu , dass ich Menschen und Umwelt vernachlässigt habe. Ich versuche im Moment einen sozialdemokratischen Weg zu gehen , da mir der Liberalismus und seine Folgen für meine "Nation"/Kommune zu wieder waren und mir im "real life" gänzlich wiederstrebt. Ich werde bald auch ein Factbook einrichten , in dem ich näher auf die Geschichte und Aspekte Lersens eingehen werde. Ich wäre jedoch auch bereit , Lersen als Kommune oder Kleinstaat in die Geschichte andere Nationen zu integrieren , falls jemand möchte.

We're adding another new feature! Each month, I'll sit down with one of our regional members so that everyone can get to know them a little bit better. This month I sat down with Republic of Tikistan, the 98th Knight of TITO!
HS: How did you originally hear about NationStates?
Tiki: I saw it in a message board of general stuffs
HS: When you signed up what were you expecting?
Tiki: I thought its gonna be about making my nation and laws and government and such
HS: How has that differed from why you've stayed around?
Tiki: I didn't know there will be a lot about acting with other nations and also I didn't know there is gonna be regions
HS: What specifically about "regions" and XKI specifically attracted you initially?
Tiki: I like to react with other ppl and also I like to be a defender. TKI is specially active.
HS: And what keeps you coming back day-in and day-out to play?
Tiki: Counting threads are fun also I like Tito Knights missions but I am using a app now and missions are hard to do. Probably I'm gonna not use the app soon.
HS: What would you say is your proudest accomplishment in NS?
Tiki: Being a TITO knight
HS: What is the time you've laughed the hardest playing this game? The time this game has upset you the most?
Tiki: Woonsocket made me laugh a lot but I can not remember 1 time only. I got little bit upset when people accused that I am a invader.
HS: Do you have anyone that you'd consider like a mentor to you in NS? Why and what did they do for you?
Tiki: Yes Woonsocket When I got a question always I tell him also he told me how I better do TITO missions and such.
HS: Do you have any goals in NS that you're working towards that you haven't accomplished yet?
Tiki: I wish I will get 100 battle stars but it is little bit slow now because I am using my phone for posting and it is harder to do missions on my phone.
