Jesia will rise
On July 10th, the Citizens of the AoR will make a huge choice when it comes to the way our parliament is elected. The major change coming would be to combine both parts of Parliament, one side called the House of Delegates and the other side called the Council of Regions into one legislative body called the Council of Representatives. It might sound good as all regions will be represented in one body and things will get done faster as legislation would only have to go through one body instead of two. But at the same time, this would have a negative effect on all of our regions as a whole. If the Amendment for Unicameralism passes, this would hinder the power of smaller regions and give more power to political parties.
The Assembly of Regions is made up of the House of Delegates and the Council or Regions. The House of Delegates is suppose to represent the feeling of the region and is run mostly by political parties. The Council of Regions are members elected or appointed by their respective regions. The Council is a place where every region is represented equally. Therefore no larger region can run over the other as easily. It is a system based on compensation. Different regions have different needs and the Council of Regions gives a place where their problems can be heard a lot better then in the House of Delegates. If this amendment passes, smaller region's power in the Assembly of Regions will be significantly reduced as each region would be reduced to one vote in this much larger body.
At the same time, this would give political parties more say over what the Assembly of Regions does in everyday activities. It would make our Supreme Court more partisan based on who is in power in this one body. Overall, this may push away smaller regions from joining the AoR and if bigger regions join, they could control the way this body looks in the end as if they all voted for one party, that would already give them 30% of the seats.
Overall, this would threaten regional sovereignty as we know it as smaller regions would not have a chance to speak up as their votes would be completely ignored by this one body of the legislature. Which means that there is no say for smaller regions anymore, possibly pushing them away for the AoR for good.
The Council of Regions is there to check the power of the Majority and to make sure legislation does not run over the rights of their home regions. Lets not ruin it. We need to make sure we continue to grow and there are better ways to put Independent members in the house, this is just not the way to do it.
This is why I am asking you to please Vote no on Amendment 1. Please pass this letter on to every region in the AoR and spread the message.

Abstimmung Nr.

Stem nee over amendement 1.
USA crossing the 50,000 barrier once again today with nearly 57,000 cases in the past 24 hours.
I wonder if the US can hit 100,000 cases per day 🤔
At this rate y'all will have herd immunity before a vaccine even exists.
New Nationale Einheit, Ebengar, Greater jes new islands, and Varzo
Well, New Nationale Einheit (DerKanzler) and J were talking about the same thing how Novus Lucidium can use a fresh start in AoR which is why DerKanzler joined GPP a while back because even he was not that active in AoR, but I came up to him and proposed that same thing and DerKanzler wanted the same thing so we teamed up.
He has been trying to get NL ramped up into AoR as well and I want that as well as NL can flourish in AoR and be a good power there as well due to how passionate people are here.
It would be great to have you and others in NL involved in AoR once again!!
You wouldn't get it
Try me.
The Greenhorn Gazette: Ancient Rilandsen Union Party shatters!
The eldest and former super-majority party of the Rilandsen Union Party has been shattered as the issue of slavery has divided its members. Although the party still exists, the Rilandsen Separatist Party has split away, dragging many of its members away. Out of the sixteen seats in the Rilandsen Central Council, four now belong under the Separatist Party, five under the Union Party, two who are "independent", and five who are under an alliance part known as the Rilandsen Utilitarian Party.
The Rilandsen Separatist party is submitting a bill to the council for a second attempt to legalize territory, this time only allowing it in the most recent western portion of the country.
Aaw, did I hurt your over moralistic feudal sense of prudence? Will no one think of the children?
Getting married is illegal and punished by a huge fine and community service.
Basically, Canada is US goody-2-shoes little brother. You know, the guy who shows up sober at the family reunion and brings a cake.
Having different laws like that in different parts of the country seems worrying but not as worrying as having a "separatist" party. This is a typical thing that will eventually lead to a civil war.
Official Announcement
After a recent census, we are pleased to announce that The Arken has the lowest rates of STDs in the region. This is in large part thanks to our traditionalist viewpoint with regards to sexual relations and activity, which has also resulted in the lowest rates of teenage pregnancies regionwide.
Can't have STIs if you make sex illegal

It has come to my attention that the Communications Officer role is not a very active role. I don't like 'not' working. I believe there is more that could be done with this role, except.. I don't see what else there can be done.
I'm asking for you to give off ideas as to how I could better serve this region or NS as a whole. Passively sitting around for recruitment telegrams to be funneled through is getting on my nerves. I NEED TO WORK.
Thank you.
New Nationale Einheit and Varzo
Separatist party referring to racial separatism, not breaking free.
Then I am switching to GPP. I like your politics as much as UGD. Making this switch doesn't really bother me. So not sure if I have notify anyone but I will join GPP and begin this new start.
New Nationale Einheit and Gujjubhai
If you have any new polls. Come up with a writting contest. I got let's do a best summer destination thing. I have done this before. Find some new region allies.
Accidentally junked Straona's season 1 card. So here I go trying to buy a new copy. Really they put a lock on cards you have in collections.
I am closing in on you in defense rating.
