If a baby has as much life and function as a carrot I hope you are also advocating for everyone to stop eating meat, vegetables, fruit and anything else that has life on the basis of their rights.

Morality is finite, everyone has to stop applying the same logic at some point and rationalise. The world is more complex than absolute rights and wrongs. There's a reason why Jesus spoke in parables more than he spoke in absolutes, because morality and wisdom is situational, there is no one-size-fits-all answer to the difficult questions and situations.
