Hot off the presses- PM Candidate Interviews!

Special thanks to the NS website for not crashing and making me start over again. You a real one, homie.

Thalassian Thoughts: PM Candidates

by Sho

Election season is upon us again in Thalassia! After a busy six months in office, Prime Minister Arenado has decided to take a step back from politics to allow for some fresh blood to take the wheel. After going uncontested in the last election and having numerous day-to-day wins under his belt, the incoming candidates are aiming to fill, in this reporter’s opinion, some big shoes.

With one of the largest and wackiest election seasons to date, in this special edition of The Wave, Sho sits down with candidates to ask questions submitted to us by readers.

Those who submitted were given the option to ask anonymously or to be credited. Opinions in this article belong solely to the individuals involved and are not representative of The Wave or Thalassia. Minister of Information, Owl Archipelago, was not involved in the creation of this bulletin beyond his interview and was not permitted to view it prior to publication. Due to the varied response lengths, individual interviews have been spoilered for your reading convenience.

This edition was formatted on mobile, so it it likely optimized for smaller screens.

Special thanks to Grey County for creating these TL;DRs about the election:
Serious Campaigns | Joke Campaigns | Endos

A small yellow lab makes his way to the stage. Sho is already sitting back in her chair, having just finished her opening statements for the camera. The jingle of “Bad’s” tags catches the attention of Chuck, one of The Wave’s producers. Chuck has to lift him into the chair, as the sizable stick he is carrying prevents him from jumping up.

Bad before entering the studio.
Sho gives a stilted smile, trying to disguise her disgust with the slobbery stick on the table. One of the other producers whispers in her ear and hands her a training clicker. With a knowing nod, she clicks it to get Bad’s attention.

Sho: Alright, thanks for agreeing to do this interview! All of these questions are citizen submitted and may be followed up towards the end. Would you like to open with a statement for our voters?

Bad: Sure! Vote Bad for free cyborgs and a dual parliament made up of humans and robots. Soda in the water fountains.

Sho: Oh my, very insightful! Our first question touches on experience. This comes from Zentata: “Do you feel as though you have enough experience to properly act as the pm?”

Bad wags his tail.

Bad: Hi Zentata! Given how I was the first elected PM of Thalassia, I think I'm pretty qualified. Some other roles I've served as are MoS, keeping the stinky out of Thalassia.

Sho: Hey, that’s not true! You’re still here, stinky! ;)

Bad lets out a small disgruntled growl. A Linkdog in the audience howls in laughter. No one knows how he got here. Where are his parents?

Sho: Our next question comes from Jorge (Hispanian union): “How different will your government be, if you win?”

Bad: My government will be historical. It will be historical because we will be moving all government jobs to robots. This means 8ball, card tricks, Uno, etc. Basically we're gonna sit around and play cards.

An artists rendering of what Bad’s Cabinet may look like.
It'll also have free lunch on Thursdays. Also hecc stinky recognize stinky.

Sho’s inner possum escapes long enough for a hiss. Her face shifts like Venom. It is horrific.... Just kidding. She just shakes her head and laughs.

Sho: Tuna fish surprise or cream of possum soup for Thanks I Hate It Thursday’s luncheon?

These next serious questions come from Conklandi: “What are your policies on alternative energy?” and “How are you going to improve Thalassia's perks?”

Bad: Cream of possum soup. Possum soup is actually good!

Sho visibly gags at the concept of cannibalism. Bad is blissfully unaware of her plight.

Bad: Policy on alternative energy? Hecc the term alternative. I'm going in on 100% clean green energy. Hecc that coal, hecc that oil, hecc that gas. We're going all solar, wind, water and geothermal. Avatar babyyyy.

Thalassian cards has been a movement that's been overlooked. I'm going to gather card players and we're going to combine our efforts!

Bad boops the table. MOAR QUESTIONS!

Sho: A hot button topic this election! This was submitted by Grey County, Federated Commonwealth of Selstville, and Monkelandd, and further expanded on by the latter.

“What are your opinions on a legislature? Bicameral or unicameral? Parties or not? Etc.”

Monkelandd also wants to know if “you plan on any constitutional changes?”

Bad: Legislature! Hot topic o.o! I think a unicameral system would work best honestly. We could have parties but the only parties I would support are birthday and holiday parties.

Constitutional changes? Nothing much, just changing the font to comic sans and making the color bright yellow.

Sho: Here’s a brief reprieve from our long winded questions: Arenado wants to know why each candidate is running. So what is your reason?

Bad: For fun! Next question. 😁

Sarcastic spongebob appears on the screen behind them saying “I poLiTiK 4 FuNSieS”. Sho looks like she is about to eat someone. The producers frantically turn it off.

Sho: Ahem. So! A couple of shy voters sent these in: The Monarch’s responsibility is the security/moderation of the region, advising of the elected government, and the maintenance of our offsite properties. The WA Delegate has sole control over our WA affairs/programs and communications with WA alliances. What do you see as the responsibilities of the Prime Minister?

Will you be creating any ministries not required by the Constitution? What will be their purpose be and how will they function? If not, you mentioned your intent to keep Arenado’s MoR and MoAA. Will they see any significant changes you haven’t already mentioned?

Bad: The prime minister is designed to be a leader of the people. Having pioneered the role myself, the PM should be interactive, and listen to their constituents. The PM kinda has a finger in every pie, and should take a proactive role in every ministry.

I will, if elected, keep all current ministries the way they are, except for some minor changes to MoI and Moc. I will also create a ministry of bouncy castles, which will be in charge of distribution of bouncy castles.

A single tear slides down Sho’s cheek.

Sho:It’s always the bouncy castles... no one cares about those of us who prefer water slides. 😭

Also, our final question.. Cannolis?

Bad: I will answer that question with a question. Where's my grandma?

The Guardians of the Galaxy and The Avengers can see heard arguing in the audience about whether or not the better question is “Who is your grandma?” or “Why is your grandma?”

Sho: That’s all we have for you for now, provided there are no more question submissions. Would you like to make a closing statement?

Bad: Yes. I. DECLARE. BANKRUPTCY!!!!!!!! Also wear a mask. Also also water slides are a slippery slope- too many injuries.

Bad hops out of the chair and attempts to finger gun away but fails because he doesn’t have thumbs. Chuck is sent to follow behind him and finger gun for him. Time for the next candidate...

Sho takes a sip of coffee and grins at Conklandi, who has just taken their seat for this interview. The room has a much more serious feel to it. Conklandi takes a moment to fidget with the flag pin on their lapel.

Sho: Alright, thanks for agreeing to do this interview! All of these questions are citizen submitted and may be followed up towards the end. Would you like to open with a statement for our voters?

Conklandi: Vote for me for a realistic minister who will be honest to you. Always.

Sho:A commendable opening attitude! Let’s start with one of the questions you are asking other candidates... How are you going to improve Thalassia’s perks?

Conklandi: The perks will be related to cards with a potential daily supply of cards for every Thalassian. It will use a group of card farms to produce cards, leading to increased satisfaction and an incentive to join the region.

Sho: Our next question comes from Zentata: “Do you feel as though you have enough experience to properly act as the pm?”

Conklandi: Well, I feel that desipite my relatively lack of experience compared with the other candidates, I will bring in a certain vigour in office. An infuision of new perspectives. [sic]

Sho: Our next question comes from Jorge (Hispanian union): “How different will your government be, if you win?”

Conklandi: It will build on the previous government's achievements with the addition of previously under represented opinions. As well as increase embassies. And equality.

Sho: Oh! A roleplay question! I always love these because it gives us insight into the IC mind of the PM when they’re not running OOC affairs.

What are your policies on alternative energy?

Conklandi: It will centre on renewables for the sjort [sic] term which will fuel the construction for fusion reactors.

The fuel for fusion reactors are present on the moon and the sea respectively, allowing it to produce energy from easily available resources.

Meanwhile, renewables will fuel the country as a backup.

Conklandi: I am for a bicameral legislature as it allows for a loop that moderates the decisions made by the government, preventing dictatorships from sprouting.

I acknowledge that parties are necessary for political representation as it allows less influential members to have their opinions heard along with those with more clout.

Finally, I don't plan to make any changes to the constitution.

Sho: Our next questions come from a very concerned Wymondham, who is uneasy that you’re running for PM while being so new to the Thalassian political scene. His questions are:

"You have not served in government as even a civil servant, how can you have the fainest idea of how to implement government policy, work with the founder, create a healthy cabinet atmosphere or represent Thalassia to our allies in Lazarus and Osiris?"

"You wish to "Expand Thalassia's influence via the construction of embassies" - what would your requirements for an embassy be?"

"The majority of your platform is Roleplay based, what are you going to do for the majority of Thalassians who do not even partake in the roleplay?"

Conklandi: I can bring a fresh perspective for governance that won't be tainted by old rules, which can be supplemented by familiarzation with Thalassia.

The requirements for an embassy would be that they have mostly democracies, have enough members to warrant a Discord server and they could have a potential to create a WA voting bloc.

I will try to be accessible for questions and queries for all Thalassians.

Sho: Here’s a brief reprieve from that.

Arenado wants to know why each candidate is running. So what is your reason?

Conklandi: I will be running to give a sober alternative to the flashy campaigns that will have nothing in substance in policies.

Sho: The Monarch’s responsibility is the security/moderation of the region, advising of the elected government, and the maintenance of our offsite properties. The WA Delegate has sole control over our WA affairs/programs and communications with WA alliances. What do you see as the responsibilities of the Prime Minister?

Conklandi: To advise, keep in check and to support them.

Sho: Will you be creating any ministries not required by the Constitution? What will be their purpose be and how will they function?

Conklandi: The Ministry of Cards for the production and distribution of cards in Thalassia.

Sho: Thank you Conklandi! Good luck. Would you like to give us a closing statement?

Conklandi: Vote for me for a sober future.

Before Sho can ask about cannolis Conklandi marches out of the studio, saluting our great Thalassian flag. Drums can be heard in the background... or is that an earthquake? Why is the studio shaking? It adruptly stops as the next candidate drops down from the ceiling.

Monkelandd lands in their chair with a satisfying thud. They appears to 🅱️e full of coke [cola] and caviar. Sho’s inner possum has taken over, the audience quaking in their seats in anticipation. A 🅱️anner falls over the 🅱️ackdrop. Let the chaos ensue.

Sho: Alright, thanks for agreeing to do this interview! All of these questions are citizen submitted and may 🅱️e followed up towards the end. Would you like to open with a statement for our voters?

Monkelandd: Hi! I'm Monkelandd, and I'm running for Prime Minister. I'd just like to make one thing clear a🅱️out my campaign: I you care a🅱️out Thalassia, DO NOT VOTE FOR ME. I would 🅱️e a god awful PM and would pro🅱️a🅱️ly destroy Thalassia. Or I might do a good job, who knows?
My team are: Grey County for deputy and Nationific is my 🅱️ri🅱️ery official. If you indicate voting for me, he will 🅱️ri🅱️e you not to.
So, I'd just like to leave you with this: DO NOT VOTE MONKELANDD!

Sho: Our first question touches on experience. This comes from Zentata: “Do you feel as though you have enough experience to properly act as the pm?”

Monkelandd: Well, I am fairly experienced in government, 🅱️ut I have played literally no role in anything and any more of my involvement will surely destroy Thalassia's government as we know it.

Sho: A living WMD? Scawy! Our next question comes from Jorge Hispanian union: “How different will 🅱️e your government, if you win?” I suppose this is your chance to give us a preview of our governmental Armageddon!

Monkelandd: Well, idk, coz i dont plan to 🅱️e in government, 🅱️ut if i do win, (god for🅱️id), it will 🅱️e very different. Thalassia will be anarchy, like the purge but with more potatoes. i really 🅱️elieve that i am the wrong choice for thalassia. a monkelandd government would 🅱️e pacificageddon 2: electric 🅱️oogaloo, but as i said, with more potatoes

Sho is tickled with the shot at Pacifica. We cut away to Pacifica, which has once again 🅱️een a🅱️andoned. Or should we say A🅱️🅱️addon’d?

Sho: These next questions come from Conklandi: “What are your policies on alternative energy?” and “How are you going to improve Thalassia's perks?”

Monkelandd: On the alt energy thing, nuclear power is a great idea! its the first step to nuclear fallout! cherno🅱️yl style!

ok, so cards are collecti🅱️les, 🅱️ut im thinking 🅱️igger. if we want to 🅱️ri🅱️e people, ask Nationific! hes my 🅱️ri🅱️ery official and does a great jo🅱️ 🅱️ri🅱️ing peeps not to vote for me. well done him!

Sho makes a notion to the camera man to pan up so the viewers don’t see the loads of cards falling out of her pocket.

Sho: I suppose we could flip our regional anchor over to reflect our new mushroom cloud status! I, for one, welcome our new fungal doom!

A hot 🅱️utton topic this election! This was su🅱️mitted by Grey County, Federated Commonwealth of Selstville, and even yourself Monkelandd, and further expanded on 🅱️y the latter.

“What are your opinions on a legislature? 🅱️icameral or unicameral? Parties or not? Etc.”

You also asked other candidates if they “plan on any constitutional changes?” Do you?

Monkelandd: right the 🅱️iggie, legislature is a yes, definitely. on the issue of houses i go oprah on yer'.go crazy! 🅱️icameral, tricameral, dodecameral, whatever! the more the merrier, eh? with parties, i say i would. parties would 🅱️e extremely destructive and im all for destruction. go mushroom clouds!

on the constitution, i say, get rid of it! who needs a constitution, when we can have anarcho-royalism, with Sho as the queen and me as supreme 🅱️eing of all thalassia, nay, the world. so my only change would be a🅱️olishing it.

We cut away for a short commercial. As we cut 🅱️ack in, Sho and Monkelandd are sharing tea and discussing the joys of the upcoming purge, o🅱️livious that they are live.

Sho: Would you like one lump or t...

Sho is suddenly aware of their situation and in a moment of panic yeets the evidence off the ta🅱️le.

Sho: Ahem! S-So.. where were we? Ah yes! Here’s a 🅱️rief reprieve from our long winded questions: Arenado wants to know why each candidate is running. So what is your reason?

Monkelandd: well, in my dispatch, i put it like this: on the discord i was talking to Nationific a🅱️oot the election. and then i said:
"if aren goes uncontested i will run for pm" aren did not go uncontested (and decided not to run anyway), owl is stepping up for the fight (hoot hoot). 🅱️ut i thought may🅱️e i could run, for the memes. so i aksed da peeps on discord and they said i should run. also, i'd like to add, i am running for the hell of it. why not you know? YOLO and all that

Sho puts on a serious face, to distract from the incident from just moments ago. It isn’t working.

Sho: Our final three questions are:

The Monarch’s responsi🅱️ility is the security/moderation of the region, advising of the elected government, and the maintenance of our offsite properties. The WA Delegate has sole control over our WA affairs/programs and communications with WA alliances. What do you see as the responsi🅱️ilities of the Prime Minister?

Will you be creating any ministries not required by the Constitution? What will be their purpose be and how will they function?

Monkelandd: the prime minister's goal is to take over thalassia and turn it into a hellhole. i would a🅱️olish the WAD (sorry Zentata) and become supreme 🅱️eing, as i said before. everyone would be trapped in the region and Sho would 🅱️e kept as queen, as long as she complied with the supreme 🅱️eing's rules. if you don't sho, idk what ill do
yeah, awful. dont vote for me.

i will ditch all ministries as part of my 'a🅱️olish the constitution' thing. so, no MoR, no MoAA, just pure anarcho-royalism, just how we hate it.

Sho: I mean, so long as I get to keep a pretty ro🅱️e and get my daily cannoli I can be quite the regional mascot~

Monkelandd: sure! Also cannoli = yum. you'll get a crown too! (not as 🅱️ig as mine obv)

Sho: Oooooh shiny!

That’s all we have for you for now. It’s 🅱️een a pleasure! Do you have a closing statement for our voters?

Monkelandd: yes! DO NOT VOTE FOR ME! I cannot stress this enough. please, you saw what will happen!

also, remember: free potatoes, spam only, a mandatory hourly government- sponsered rickroll, the a🅱️olishment of non-junk food, communication only through rick (astley or sanchezz) quotes aaaand...
no more 'b's, just 🅱️s

🅱️efore Sho gets out her goodbyes, a buzzing is heard in the distance, rapidly moving closer. Oh no. The clap of those dummy thicc 🅱️s has alerted the 🐝s! They’ve carried off Monkelandd, leaving 🐝hind a trail of de🐝ris and smooth jazz CDs.

The next guest does us the honor of ridding the studio of the aftermath with a flap of his mighty wings. He perched himself on the back on the interviewing chair. He is surrounded by an air of experience- both in Thalassia and in cursed sights (Thursdays, amirite?)

Sho: Alright, thanks for agreeing to do this interview! All of these questions are citizen submitted and may be followed up towards the end. Would you like to open with a statement for our voters?

Owl: Yes, thank you very much. I wanted to say that I have been here in Thalassia for some time and it is my desire to help the region as much as possible and that no matter the outcome of the election that desire won't go away. I will be here ready to contribute.

Sho: That’s a great way to start this off, especially as one of our most senior candidates!

Our first question touches on something you already mentioned in your platform- experience. This comes from Zentata: “Do you feel as though you have enough experience to properly act as the pm?”

Artistic rendering of Owl by Meritagnia.

Owl: Experience was what I lacked when I stood in the 1st Presidential Election. After that I decided I wanted to try and get more involved in civil service. I then joined the Ministry of Security, then I became Wym's deputy and now Minister. I went through ladder and saw how our regional government works from many positions. I would say I have the experience to know how it works and how it can be improved and that is why I have decided to run for pm.

Sho: You certainly have come a long way since those elections!

Our next question comes from Jorge Hispanian union: “How different will be your government, if you win?”

Owl: I intend in giving more responsibilities to the Ministry of Recruitment, making it responsible for recruiting and training people for civil service. Other than that I want to restructure the ministries organization in order to make it easier to work causing it be more productive and decreasing stress.

It won't be different in structure, the ministries will be the same as they previously were under Prime Minister Arenado.

Sho: Productivity is definitely needed in NS governments to keep a region running!

These next questions come from Conklandi: “What are your policies on alternative energy?” and “How are you going to improve Thalassia's perks?”

Owl: The first question seems to be related to the regional roleplay. The government does not make decisions of that kind over what happens in the regional rp. Now if you allow me to joke, I hope Max Barry has his servers environmentally friendly.

I'm gonna be honest, I never gave much thought of how a rewards program could be made, other than the already existing ThalassiEndos, which our WAD Zentata made where some of the nations get rewarded. I also believe culture had a rewards program that also uses cards as prizes. However, I do not think it's realistic to have a card farm and daily rewards. Other than using cards as rewards, maybe a simple ranking list based on an amount of points would also work as a way to handle it.

Sho: A hot button topic this election! This was submitted by Grey County, Federated Commonwealth of Selstville and Monkelandd, and further expanded on by the latter.

“What are your opinions on a legislature? Bicameral or unicameral? Parties or not? Etc.”

Monkelandd also wants to know if “you plan on any constitutional changes?”

Owl: On a legislature I think is what would be the best and keeping the direct democracy systems we currently have in place to allow any WA citizen to propose any new legislation. I think it’s a great idea, until now new legislation as always been authored by members of the cabinet, this will change that.

On the political parties matter, I don’t think they are needed and could cause both divide and also lead to aggressive partisan politics. Besides that, real life party ideologies don’t exactly fit nationstates like politics.

I do plan on constitutional changes, if I want to make changes to the government structure in order to improve its productivity I think I should make some changes to the constitution related to that to ensure that those vital changes will continue on.

Sho: Here’s a brief reprieve from our long winded questions:

Arenado wants to know why each candidate is running. So what is your reason?

Owl: As I have said in the start, I’m here to give what I can offer to Thalassia. I’m running to make my contribution and help our community grow stronger and better.

It has already grown a lot, but there’s still some room for improvement and I know that I can make it happen.

Sho: The Monarch’s responsibility is the security/moderation of the region, advising of the elected government, and the maintenance of our offsite properties. The WA Delegate has sole control over our WA affairs/programs and communications with WA alliances. What do you see as the responsibilities of the Prime Minister?

Will you be creating any ministries not required by the Constitution? What will be their purpose be and how will they function? If not, you mentioned your intent to keep Arenado’s MoR and MoAA. Will they see any significant changes you haven’t already mentioned?

Owl: The responsibilities of the Prime Minister aren’t as specific as those of the Monarch or the WA Delegate. The Prime Minister has a role in the security/moderation of the region alongside the monarch, but also in handling foreign affairs, organising culture events and developing the region itself. It’s not as specific as quite a few of these responsibilities are delegated to the minister that the Prime Minister appoints.

As of right now, I don’t think I will be creating any new ministry not required by the constitution. I intend on having the new culture events inside the MoC. I mentioned i intent on keeping the ministries that Arenado created, they are essential in my view of what the government needs. I don’t think I will be changing the MoAA but as I have mentioned in my campaign I intend on adding the responsibility of recruiting and training people for civil service to the Ministry of Recruitment.

Sho: Alright Owl, final question. Cannolis?

Owl looks mildly taken back but answers coolly.

Owl:I don’t believe I’ve eaten them.

Sho is sad for Owl. Time to send him some rep on the Regional discord so he may have one. This is totally not a plug. Do not @Sho, Owl does that enough.

Sho: Thanks so much for interviewing with us Owl! Would you like to make a closing statement?

Owl: This elections is meant to decide who will be serving as the next prime minister. We are having joke candidates for the first time, I don’t just see satire in their campaigns, I see people with potential to contribute to Thalassia. They may not think of themselves as prime minister material, but they are worth more than they think. I wish all other candidates good luck in the election. Thank you for interviewing me.

And with a final hoot, he is gone. Probably off to buy a Meritagnian glutetarte. Let’s hope for his sake they are out of wasabi!

A young studious gent strides up to sit down with Sho. He straightens his “RIP ICTTN” and “Golden TAN” buttons. Sho can’t help but wonder when the meaningless references only select Thalassians will understand will end. When will there be justice for the Maxtopians?

Flag of 3nd German Republic

Sho: Alright, thanks for agreeing to do this interview! All of these questions are citizen submitted and may be followed up towards the end. Would you like to open with a statement for our voters?

3GR: My Fellow Thalassian’s I come to you today to offer you safety. To give hope and provide security to make your region the safest.

Sho: Our first question touches on experience. This comes from Zentata: “Do you feel as though you have enough experience to properly act as the pm?”

3GR: My answer for that question is that I don’t think I do have enough experience to do it properly I mainly ran so that way when I do get more experience in the future so I can run and know what to do. I really didn’t think I would win against owl so I just used the election to see what it’s like.

Sho: Hey, that’s pretty smart. Elections are a good learning experience for sure!

Our next question comes from Jorge (Hispanian union: “How different will be your government, if you win?”

3GR: I think it would be mostly the same except for more focus on defense because what if a raid happens.

Sho: We’ll revisit that in a couple of later questions!

These next questions come from Conklandi:“What are your policies on alternative energy?” and “How are you going to improve Thalassia's perks?”

3GR: Well for the first question I think oil/gas should still be used but should be switched out over time for reusable energy like wind or water.

But that second question confuses me as I do not know what these perks are.

Sho: Understandable!

A hot button topic this election!

3GR: I think there should be party’s because Thalassia is a region of democracy (if that makes any sense), but yes I think we should have party’s

Sho: Calling back to earlier, I have a question from Wymondham: “You call for a Thalassian armed forces, do you have any experience in R/D?”

3GR: No. I’ve only been in the MoFA as a Junior ambassador.

Sho: Fair enough 😄

Here’s a brief reprieve from that.

Arenado wants to know why each candidate is running. So what is your reason?

3GR: I’m just trying to learn for the future

Sho: I can respect that, and I think Thalassia can too.

Here are our last three questions:

“The Monarch’s responsibility is the security/moderation of the region, advising of the elected government, and the maintenance of our offsite properties. The WA Delegate has sole control over our WA affairs/programs and communications with WA alliances. What do you see as the responsibilities of the Prime Minister?”

“Will you be creating any ministries not required by the Constitution? What will be their purpose be and how will they function? If not, you mentioned your intent to keep Arenado’s MoR and MoAA. Will they see any significant changes you haven’t already mentioned?”

3GR: First question: The prime minister leads the work of the cabinet of Ministers.

Second question: No new ministries.

Third question: I’m not sure if I would change them.

Sho: Thanks so much 3GR! That’s all the questions we have for you. Would you like to give a closing statement?

3GR: Security. Strength. Prosperity. This is why I should be your next Prime Minister.

Before he can continue his statement, he is head butted off the stage by a goat. Is that the smell of dairy delight? Is that.. the Milk Man?! (Don’t ask your mom. She may know a milkman, but not the Milk Man. The milkman looks a lot like you. Don’t think about that too much.

It is! It is the Milk Man! From Tidewater to Thalassia, he has spread the word about yald goat milk.

This candidate had no opening statement so we dive directly into questions. Due to his busy schedule of getting milk out to a sad milkless world, this interview was brief..

Sho: Our first question touches on experience. This comes from Zentata: “Do you feel as though you have enough experience to properly act as the pm?”

Yaldia: I have served as an ambassador to Sonindia for many months, as well as in the ministry of culture. And i also have experience as Vice president, President and Co Founder of Tidewater. So i do feel that if i am actually elected i would be able to properly manage the government.

Sho: Our next question comes from Jorge (Hispanian union): “How different will be your government, if you win?”

Yaldia: Most of the government structure will remain the same, however i will make strong efforts to strengthen our culture by the promotion of milk, and its many possibilities. The main focus will be on our culture.

Sho: I can see the “got milk?” signs everywhere. The propaganda. Those goats won’t know what hit’em!

These next questions come from Conklandi: “What are your policies on alternative energy?” and“How are you going to improve Thalassia's perks?”

Yaldia: 1: While the idea of nuclear energy is intresting and most likely our best current solution, i think using extensive research we can pursue milk based solutions to energy production. Similar to damns, however using artificial milk rivers, which allows us to avoid the negative effects of normal river damns. However there may be other milk based solutions that may be visually similar to reverse butter churning. I hope to assemble an elite research squad for tasks like this.

2: I think we should give away cards as RP rewards, but i think we should create a system where you can purchase rewards such as cards or banners, using a credit system of milk units. They would be gifted as RP rewards, but can be exchanged between players for banners, cards, and other items.

Sho: Cards? Credit? Calcium? Wow!

A hot button topic this election! This was submitted by Grey County, Federated Commonwealth of Selstville, and Monkelandd, and further expanded on by the latter.

“What are your opinions on a legislature? Bicameral or unicameral? Parties or not? Etc.”

Monkelandd also wants to know if “you plan on any constitutional changes”?

Yaldia: i think a unicameral system of the dairy council would be able to fit this highly demanded role well. I think we should vote on new members of this council, which will then vote on submitted proposals. We should be transparent whenever we can.

No major ones, but i think there are ways we can expand the personal freedoms of our citizens.

Sho: Arenado wants to know why each candidate is running. So what is your reason?

Yaldia: Because i think a milkier thalassia is a better thalassia. It will take our already great culture and greatly add to it.

Sho: The Monarch’s responsibility is the security/moderation of the region, advising of the elected government, and the maintenance of our offsite properties. The WA Delegate has sole control over our WA affairs/programs and communications with WA alliances. What do you see as the responsibilities of the Prime Minister?

Yaldia: I think the Prime Minister is responsible for the organization and management of the government, as well as being the true head of state.

Sho: Will you be creating any ministries not required by the Constitution? What will be their purpose be and how will they function?

Yaldia: No, but i do plan on creating many important discord features related to our dairy filled culture, meaning ministry of culture will become even more important.

Sho: Cannolis?

The Milk Man did not answer this question. It seems the carton is calling him. It is time for him to leave once again to smite those who use plant-based false milks.

Sho: Fantastic. Thank you for interviewing with us, Yaldia! Would you like to make a closing statement?

Yaldia: Just remember this is a joke campaign, so you probably shouldn't actually vote for me. But do not misunderstand and think that is how every campaign will be, this is probably going to be my only joke one.

His goat carries him off to the Milky Way. Maybe we’ll see him again some day.

What's up, folks! I've just finished my first lore factbook on Laeden. This one is about the country's 7 marvels, which are general things of enormous cultural relevance to the nation. Despite being mainly written in portuguese, I have translated everything in english to allow non-lusophones to read it too. I've also added flavor images so you can have a clear picture of each marvel.

I hope you guys read it and enjoy! I'll be writting more of them in the future (if I have time), so I'll take suggestions, and I'll also give advice if anyone's interested in writing similar stuff about their nations.

There you go! =D

As maravilhas (The marvels)

The wonders of Laeden are a set of historical, geographical and cultural elements of importance to the Laedenian nation. The wonders were chosen to represent the different aspects that helped shape Laeden as it is today. Although they are certainly not a complete list of all the admirable things that the country has built, the 7 wonders are nevertheless points of national convergence, which inspire the sense of belonging and nationality in the population regardless of their gender, social class or political alignment.

1- O Monte Adreau (The Adreau Mount)

Monte Adreau is the highest point of the homonymous mountain range, which dominates the landscape of the northeast region of the country. Rising to a height of 7,900 meters above sea level, which makes it the highest point in all Laedenian geography. Adreau is a dormant volcano, with no eruption recorded for more than three millennia. Due to its cultural significance and majestic appearance, it has become one of Laeden's most common symbols. The country's former capital, Lynesse, was built in one of the neighbouring valleys, surrounded by mountains. The mountain is visited by thousands of people every year, but climbing to the top is a dangerous undertaking, and for this reason the local government maintains strict control over who climbs, including a task force exclusively dedicated to rescuing climbers. damaged or lost.

2- A Constelação do Grifo (The Griffin Constellation)

The Griffin Constellation, although technically not located in Laeden (which is obvious, since it is a constellation), is an important national symbol. It was the constellation that helped the people of Alva, the legendary conquerors who founded the Laedenian nation, to arrive in the lands of the present country. The Griffin was a symbol of the royal house of Alva, the mythical land from which the conquistadors fled to reach Laeden. Upon seeing the constellation, navigators arrived in the country, believing it to be a divine sign. From then on, the land was claimed by them, who built what is now known as Laeden.

The Constellation is especially important because it is in the territory of Laeden that its visibility is perfect. In all countries in the northern hemisphere, although it can be seen, it is difficult to identify. This makes it considered a Laedenian constellation par excellence, making it a symbol of national belonging.

3- O Gato Negro (The Shadowcat)

Although the Griffin is officially Laeden's national animal, he is a mythological creature that does not exist in the real world. However, an endemic predator of Laeden occupies a special place in the national imagination: the shadowcat.

This animal, native to the Adreau mountain range, is a ferocious predator. His black fur contrasts enormously with the snow-white landscape where he lives, which makes him a beast of nocturnal habits, being very rare to find him during the day. Agile and sneaky, it hunts large herbivores like moose, with reports of having already slaughtered ponies. It is a solitary animal, forming groups only in the breeding season. Quiet in the extreme, emits very few sounds, and manages to move without making a single noise.

Its skin was highly coveted by the rich and noble until the beginning of the last century, when it was declared a protected animal, and its hunting became prohibited. Its population, which has already reached just 90 individuals, now consists of more than 600, which is a source of great relief for Laeden biologists.

It occupies an important position in the mountain ecosystem, since it disputes space with other predators such as bears and wolves. Although it is not domesticated, it is a beast that has already shown itself friendly to humans. Because it is so graceful in its movements and so intelligent, capable of setting up sophisticated ambushes to capture its prey, the shadowcat represents what the Laedenian nation strives to achieve.

4- La Tarte (The Pie)

A dessert really needs to be magnificent to have the honor of being simply called "The Pie". In the case of La Tarte, however, this is not an unfounded nickname. The strawberry tart is, without a doubt, the most consumed dessert in Laeden.

Among the confectioners, there is a common saying, always laughed: "If Laeden had a taste, it would be strawberry". The fruit, produced in very expressive quantities, is an integral part of national cuisine, being consumed in many different ways. In Tarte, the strawberry finds the pinnacle of its sophistication and flavor.

The pie is made up of two layers of dough, similar to pancakes, and filled with strawberry smoothie with condensed milk. It is covered with cream or chocolate and, at the top, some strawberries are placed for added flavor.

Considering the importance of agriculture for Laeden's economy, and the importance of cuisine in the country's culture, it is not surprising that a dessert is considered a national wonder. However, Tarte has this title deservedly, either for its flavor (which is really very good!) Or for its ubiquity, being consumed and adored in all corners of the country.

“The Academy”, as it is known, is Laeden's highest body in intellectual, artistic and scientific matters. It is composed of 72 permanent members, the “immortals”, individuals of high knowledge and prestige in their areas of activity and study. The Academy aims to elevate Laedenian culture and science, helping to educate the population and advancing knowledge always for the benefit of humanity.

Its motto is "Grave alis nihil", or "Nothing is heavy for those with wings". Membership in the Academy is such a serious and prestigious matter that it depends on the approval of the Laeden Senate, although that competence is delegated to the internal board of the Academy itself. The institution gathers the best minds in the country and, more than that, seeks to make them work in unison for the advancement of the nation.

A beacon of academic excellence, the institution has partnerships with most universities in the country, and helps to foster a scientific spirit. He also participates in artistic initiatives, including being an integral part of the deliberative council of film festivals that take place in Laeden.

Although he is not a public authority in the strictly administrative sense, the Director of the Academy, a life-long position, is vested with nobility, receiving the title of Duque d'Éolie (the only title of nobility whose passage is not hereditary) and still enjoying the honorary title. “Doctor of Laeden”, for being the greatest representative of the intellectual community in the country. The Academy can also award the Medal of Exceptional Scientific Merit and the Medal of Exceptional Artistic Merit. The Medal of Extraordinary Intellectual Merit, in turn, is the highest honor the institution can grant, and it is the fourth medal of highest precedence among all the honors of Laeden.

The Academy is physically located in the Palace of Arts and Sciences, popularly also called "Academy" or "Palace of the Academy". The building, located in the old capital of Lynesse, is famous for its enormous architectural charm and the finesse and sophistication of its composition, being permanently listed as a historical and cultural heritage of the country and receiving intense visitation from tourists.

The Laeden Sword is the greatest heritage of the Royal House in the country. As is well known, the country is a Republic, but retains the honorary title of Prince for the heirs of the Royal House of Alva. These kings, coming from overseas, brought with them, in addition to subjects, some legacies from their homeland, goods of inestimable artistic and cultural value.

Unfortunately, these goods were almost entirely destroyed in the Looting of Lynesse, which occurred in 1749. The only material asset of the people of Alva is the sword, symbol of their monarchy. The weapon, forged from steel, has details made of gold and silver, with rubies set in the image of lions carved on its fist. On the blade, richly carved designs can be seen, depicting the great conquests and glories of the royal family.

Due to its priceless cultural (and economic, value, since the sword itself is a treasure), it is kept safe, only appearing to the public on ceremonial occasions. His surrender to the new Prince represents the monarch's rise to the throne, being inseparable from the monarchy and, consequently, from Laeden's political and social history.

7- O Príncipe Perfeito (The Perfect Prince)

Desde então o príncipe aprendera a governar a nação.

Prince Nicolas' story is both inspiring and sad. He was just a child when his people fled Alva, his homeland, arriving in Laeden. His father, King Robert, was an upright and wise man who raised him very well. However, when arriving in Laeden, the conquest and the constant war with the local peoples demanded that the King became a warrior. Nicolas ended up involved in the conflicts and wars fought by his people to subdue the local population.

However, Nicolas seemed not to be consumed by war like his father. Although King Robert often demanded the presence of his son on the battlefield, in order to accustom him to war, it was common for Nicolas to be left in the city while his father was at war, becoming regent. Since then the prince had learned to rule the nation.

As he matured, he became a sharp and brave young man. He was unable to help his father in the battle of Poros, where Robert died, attacked by a coalition of natives. Nicolas was only 15 when his father died, and he was crowned Rei d'Alva at 16.

Then King Nicolas led the remaining forces into combat. The Albanian people were few and each loss meant that their ancestral blood was dissipating. However, Nicolas was able to take advantage of his technical and military superiority to repeatedly defeat the native enemies, subduing them.

Most native Cambrian peoples were subject to the rule of King Nicolas. Only the Helvetics, the natives living in the Adreau mountain range, still resisted it. These people were ferocious and knew how to use the land to their advantage, effectively preventing the Albanians from finally conquering the mountain range. On the other hand, aware that their territory was impregnable, the Helvetics went on surprise attacks, stealing cattle, horses and wealth from the Albanian colonists.

Nicolas gathered a large army and undertook a campaign to conquer the Adreau. His first major victory was the battle of Mneme, where he personally led the cavalry, inflicting heavy casualties on the enemy. In the long campaign that followed, he tirelessly fought the Swiss in their mountain strongholds, earning the enemies respect for their courage and enormous bravery.

Finally, after years of war, the King of the Helvetics offered Nicolas the hand of his daughter, Princess Nia, in marriage, as a way of establishing an alliance between the peoples. To the amazement of the Albanian nobility, Nicolas acquiesced, taking the hand of Princess Nia, a woman whose beauty is legendary and who would have won the King's heart.

Having signed the alliance, Nicolas decided to raise the capital of his new kingdom in one of the valleys of the mountain range, as a sign of goodwill with the Helvetics, now his allies. Queen Nia is also said to have insisted on living near Adreau, whose presence, she said, blessed the new kingdom.

The Queen was more than a beautiful face, however. Thanks to her, who was surprisingly perceptive in politics and diplomacy, the King was able to make an alliance with the other native peoples, ensuring their loyalty to the d'Alva crown. Finally, after decades of war, the country was pacified, and at the end of the construction of the new capital, the city of Lynesse, the King baptized the new country of Laeden, "For here", he said, "We will build our paradise".

Although he was a generous and just king, his love for the natives did not please the old Albanian nobility, eager for more wars and conquests (although, as the queen predicted, the Alvanians did not have enough strength to fight all the natives and would eventually succumb if not agree to negotiate). As a result, three powerful Alvanian families conspired against the king, committing the greatest betrayal against him: they murdered him by poisoning. In addition, to avoid what was called "contamination" of royalty by the blood of the natives, seen by the Alvanians as impure, the conspirators invaded the queen's chambers while she was still in mourning, murdering her while sleeping and killing the crown prince .

The rest of the nobility were shocked by the violence of the conspiracy. The three families soon filed a claim to the throne. The arguments soon ended in blood and deaths. To avoid a civil war, the rest of the nobility decided to imprison the conspirators, electing Henrique, a cousin of Nicolas by the father line, as new monarch.

Out of respect for Nicolas' memory, and knowing that even though he had royal blood, he was not an integral part of the royal family, Henrique did not assume the title of King, proclaiming himself only Prince, which became a custom in Laeden's royal house until the nowadays. Although humble and calm, Henry was merciless to the conspirators who betrayed the King, revoking their titles, taking their lands and wealth from them and applying Laeden's worst punishment, the [i]damnatio memoriae[/ i ]. The conspirators' names have been erased from all records and their family crests and symbols have been removed. Any mention of their names was prohibited. Eventually, the conspirators fell into oblivion, being forgotten by history. Expelled and exiled, it is said that they wandered the mountains of the Adreau, hunted by the Helvetics one by one.

Prince Nicolas is said to be Laeden's Father. A skillful and just monarch, he was instrumental in building the country and its traditions. His honor was such that he left behind the tradition of not having a King in Laeden, as it is believed that there is no man of such nobility to claim for himself the crown that Nicolas put on his head. Even so, his memory is revered and seen as an example of leadership, value and selflessness.

Alexandero Nassino has announced his endorsement of Giorio Vorescatti for the CAP leader. Many political figures on the right have expressed their concern that 'I Dici' (the ten years that Nassino was PM and Vorescatti was his deputy) may return. Maria On'uda has said that Vorescatti will 'purge' all MPs who do not agree with his views from the party if he wins.

Hi! I'm back

I've been writing some snippets of stories from the Wapandian World. Hope you like them

During the Tokugawa shogunate of Edo in Japan, the shogunate's samurai lords created a "mixed martial arts" system of "wushu" ("teachings") and "koryu " ("the arts") based on karate. The koryu system is now practiced across Asia and is known as the "traditional Japanese arts." This term, along with other terms used to describe Japanese martial arts, is most commonly translated in English as "Shinto martial arts ."

The martial arts were largely imported from China. However, as time passed, the martial arts evolved into a style of exercise that was uniquely suited to the Japanese lifestyle and the Japanese people.

In 1620, they reached New Delhi, in order to build a diplomatic relationship with India and increase India's trade. As the Indian leaders prepared for the invasion, the Chinese began to take control of the port. It was one of the only major economic projects of the last two decades, with the completion of the Great Barrier Reef and the completion of the Borneo and Indochina Straits.

The conquests were affected by the vigorous trading for merchant barter, but this trade continued apace throughout the island and migrated to the west through a wide channel flowing through the Acuriasque Kingdom. The work attributed to the excellent Andan.

In 1612 Macau fell to China, seizing the continent's major trading routes: East India Company and its shipping transports. Although government trust is not guaranteed, its continuous use often creates a formidable smuggling network, as reported in the Sabine & Blackheath Sun. After 1812 Macau also grew into a multibillion-dollar river.

The inhabitants of Brazil regarded the Louis filipa as a fallacious but consistent threat, and Hinchin philosophers (who had been around several centuries before Alfred the Great) suggested that this the most false severe act ever committed against the native heads of men; that man, either in union with the king or acquitted himself long before the war commenced, had offended an abominable man, and was thus cursed.

Thus did the princes of Bonda discover the lucidity that was the matter when, having tasted it in relationship to celestial light, he was persuaded, whenever an Infernauvolo raised his gaze in discourse, that there was no strip in this process of liquid body, nor the remains of carnation of creatures who had not gone for meridian light, nor that of carnation of souls who had come through transversely. After eating with the body in his Serrestre there was sorta asnic intercession, that Dionysus might finish the speculation by saying that the body without that membrane is as invisible as the flesh.

Patriotism didn't give about light barbarism, it gave money to the Jews, it bestowed Jewish pride, it provided and positioned religious hatred and barter and jihadism consistent with the Zee, the Muslim and otherwise Islamized Zionist System. And there is this very problem of Zionism's collapse quick. As long as people like Welser keep paying for this this continues until new secular norms are fixed. For example Mr Raymond Welser is taking calls for figures including Valerie was supported to do this and those support other routine angles within this labour agenda.

Yet, it had gotten past its last best vs. the central Europe environment when hostility started to seep in when -- like today -- allowing surface search engines to conduct liberalizing operations on strategic assets attached to the Fasque de Cuba-Libyan corridor and Djibouti-Chkabals video game cables to get them there quickly. And again, it had initially felt the political situation had settled down when she escaped from suspected threats.

"There were no attempts on my part to reach the Administration or any member of the intelligence community to stop the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction before December," she said. "I have maintained the use of such weapons by Hezbollah and any actions taken against the international community should be done unless a specific and tangible threat has been identified that: (1) makes continuing regime change unlawful; (2) inside Hezbollah camps does not affect the operation of the terrorists' life multiplier against Syria — targeted, not neutralized, did not cause Jordan or many others in Syria to accept blackmail where to distribute weapons to their enemy that pledged grave support for the Islamic State.”

The main reason for this is that there was no one more dangerous than a revolutionary. In the late 1940s, the Republican National Committee (RNC) attempted to recruit and recruit members of its cadres, and after a few unsuccessful attempts to recruit members, the RNC became the leading force in the history of the world. In the 1950s, the National Party of North America and the League of the Americas were joined together by the Spanish Civil War, and in the 1950s, the National Party of South America joined the Popular Party.

The war was a major blow for the European Union's interests in the war, but ultimately led to an exodus of foreign workers from the West, a fact that most of them didn't want to admit. Today, there are about 300,000 foreign workers, many of whom are mostly in the East, and there are about 600,000 foreign workers, including about 60,000 foreign workers working in the Middle East.

This would take place after the German Civil War and the Revolution of 1848.

In the 1950s, Germany faced the largest depression in history, after the Great Depression. In 1960, the United States had the lowest unemployment rate for the country's 20th century. After the depression, however, Germany saw its biggest unemployment rate since the Great Depression. Germany was at the end of the Cold War with no major crisis. During the 1950s, the country suffered a recession that created a huge amount of trouble for the nation. Since the end of the Cold War, Germany has seen a massive influx of immigrants, and the country is already reeling from an economic crisis .

At this point, the country's GDP is down to about 1. 5 billion, according to the German Federal Office of Statistics. This figure is a bit lower than it was for the United States. The U. S. Census Bureau reported that in 2012, the U. S. had the lowest unemployment rate since the end of the Great Depression.

In a subsequent letter to the press, María de Braganza-Habsburg -Lorraine asked if the throne was indeed in her possession. However, the Portuguese press had not heard this, and, having no knowledge of the contents of the letter (for instance, a question about a king's position on social welfare and health and the role of the queen) - said that María de Braganza-Habsburg-Lorraine's absence had not prevented the king from becoming a popular and popular figure. "He was quite the hero. He was the greatest of all of us," María de Braganza-Habsburg-Lorraine said.

By late 1632, with the rise of the republic of Venice and the Spanish Inquisition , Spain began to lose power , and King Ferdinand II was forced to step down. He died in 1635, with Spain and Portugal already divided into many factions, the Republic of Venice still ruling, the Kingdom of Castile under Francisco Franco, who ruled the whole of Europe and Spain and Spain in 1539.

It is likely that King Ferdinand III was influenced by the Latin American influence of the American monarchs during his reign and may have influenced the development of the empire, which had many features, including the formation of the Catholic Church. In 1813 the following year the Catholic Church in Madrid founded an anti-Catholic

and anti-Catholic organization, the Catholic Church. A number of Catholics, including Protestants and Catholics, were led by the British, Dutch, French and other prominent Catholic leaders, while the Catholic Church had also organized the Inquisition (although not so long ago), in which cases the Knights Templar and Inquisition were led by the Catholic Church.

They had not taken possession of the lands they had previously occupied until their conquest in 1813. Their territory was so large that the Portuguese captured most of the land that they could not make it into Europe, although some claim that the Portuguese were able to exploit it for themselves. Portugal were a mere colony of three Spanish settlements, though they did not rule them. When Portugal became independent, they would become independent of the Portuguese Empire.

After 1712, the Spanish colonels and their descendants would become independent of the Portuguese Empire in order to protect the Portuguese, but they would only enter the country that had been the center of the European-American empire in 1812. This colonial power was in fact the center of American rule, and it was not until 1812 that they realized how important American colonial power was to Europe. In 1813, they became independent of the English Empire ( as opposed to European colonies that were occupied during the American Revolution ). Their first attempt was in the mid-18 20s, which was at the time a major event for their foreign policy. In 1813, they began establishing a new colony in Mexico, which would remain a part of the American Empire until the 1813 Revolution. The United States and France (which had both been part of the colonies), were the only countries who became independent during the Civil War. By the 1920s, they were no longer considered as independent of the United States.

In the meantime, the authorities have launched a massive effort to stop people from fleeing or seeking refuge. According to the government, the authorities were not able to stop people fleeing the coastal town, the capital of a former colony of the Ivory Coast. The country's coast guard officials said that there were still some 700 people out on the beaches and that they had been forced to retreat to the water to make their way to the shore of the village of Haino. The people in charge of establishing the people's shelter on the beach were then forced to flee to the sea as a result of the government's decision to evacuate more than 100 people who had fled from their homes, including a young woman. According to the government, it is now the case of the people in charge of securing their place on the beach of Haino.

In 1676, a man asked the king for an audience. A monk replied that they were the servants of the king, and he called his father. A monk answered that they were not servants of the king. The king gave an earl of water to the audience, which gave him an earl of water, and it poured into the chamber. The monk asked him why the king had a voice in his mouth, but he said, "I have not heard him since the first year of life." A monk replied, "The King has never heard his voice." At the same time, there was a new temple in the city of Zhen xi, in Zhenxi City. A monk named Jhen xi came to the city to teach his students about the mysteries of life, and he said, "This is the place where we teach the mysteries of life."

His body was then dumped in the street of Lisbon. He was buried in the cemetery where he died. However, his tomb contained several golden statues depicting his exploits. His name was still revered by the Portuguese people and in time, it became famous even in the East Indies.

The agreement was ratified by a majority of the Portuguese Parliament of 1792. Portugal accepted the terms of the Treaty of Lisbon with the following consequences:. The Treaty of Tordesillas was to be considered in Portugal, as of 1794. Spain granted the Portuguese possession of the territory in the former French colony of Camus. On June 3rd, 17 94, Portuguese troops marched from Camus into the province of Gualvo. They had established a base for military operations near Porto. They were directed by the Government of Portugal to occupy the district from which the Portuguese troops entered. As soon as Portuguese troops advanced beyond Gualvo , the British troops under Admiral Henry Fitzcar of the Spanish Navy took possession of the town. The Portuguese troops under Admiral Fitzcar were ordered by the Governor-General of Lisbon to occupy the town at once. The Portuguese Government was anxious for the safety of Porto Bay, and was obliged to grant a special mandate to the Spanish Army for the operation of the Portuguese Army.

In this way the Portuguese had control of the Indian Ocean for over 1500 years. They were also the first country to establish permanent capital, which became the capital of the city of Lisbon.

In the 16th century, a number of Portuguese settled in Bombay to form the city of Calcutta. During the 19th century, they developed various industries, notably silk weaving and sugar industry. In 1800, the Portuguese came back to India after their brief stay, and established a colony of about 10,000 inhabitants.

However, by then there were already dozens of Spanish colonies. In 1543, the Portuguese officially started colonizing Brazil, since the French were keeping an eye on the land and Portugal did not want to lose this great territory. However, by then there were already dozens of Spanish colonies. One day, King Vasco da Gama met a woman in Portugal who suggested he visit the land in Brazil, because he wanted to start a new colony and find a place where his people could live with peace and security. His request was granted! He named this place as Vila Abril. He also asked the women to help him with the soil and water. The women agreed and helped to start a farm.

He discovered another island, which is the island now known as Mauritius, and the islands now known as New Caledonia and the Dutch Seamounts, and made further discoveries in the Indian Ocean, but by the year 1500, there were no Europeans left on the islands except for the natives who lived in the nearby islands. By 1700, the natives of the islands had made a settlement, and as far as the Dutch were concerned, they could call their little colony " the colony of New Caledonia" (the Dutch didn't call the islands "New Caledonia" until 1900). The Dutch had been the first Europeans to have established a colony of any kind on an island in the Pacific Ocean.

The “union of the hispania" was founded in the year 1852, by Leonid Ivanovich Pankrudin, who is named a the president of the union. The name of the union was changed to "The union of the the hispanian union of the federacion", while Leonid's father Vladimir joined the union. At that time the republic was in the process the creation of a new state and for this purpose in 1858 the First federal law, which was called the Theatrum Federalium, was passed by the Soviet Union. The First federal law was passed in the years 1857.

The city's population peaked at 4.6 million. An example of a boom in population in the city's earliest days is depicted in the city's earliest surviving street map, in 1697. This view of the city on a large scale, with its main square outlined in blue, was also used in 1855. In the 1870s, a series of large public buildings and a bridge to the Atlantic Ocean created a larger public square and created the city's first central library, the Library of Congress in 1872. This map was drawn between 1901 and 1903, showing the city's largest park.

During the Spanish Civil War some of these groups went underground in a bid to avoid the more widespread persecution under the Franco government. They formed a secret society known as the "Crown" in exile, and used it's powers of intrigue and blackmail to secure power and influence in the state. They were very hard core, with many members committing terrorist acts. Another group, the 'Nationalist' group and the 'Nationalist' Party, who were responsible for the death of about 40 million people in the Spanish Civil War. They were also an outlaws group who did all their deeds behind closed doors.

They then started to wage aggressive war against the French through Spain, as well as against Portugal before declaring the Republic. Their initial goal was to establish control over their countries, while taking control over their allies. The Dutch also found Portugal's colonies attractive, since they were located close to Dutch ports and a large amount of Dutch money was there. In fact, the Dutch had been using their colonies to gather more resources and gold to make them the economic power they were, which was what was necessary for the Dutch to rise up during this era. Eventually, Dutch power grew over the rest of the century and they started to gain more and more.

Official History of the United Kingdom of Portugal, Brazil and the Algarves

This is me, Jorge Churchill

My name is Jorge Churchill.
His Majesty Jorge II asked me to document the history of the country and consequently its ramifications as the Kingdom of Portugal and now the United Kingdom of Portugal, Brazil and the Algarves.
It was hard work but I managed to do it for nothing.
Enjoy the story.

Beginning of Golden Age of Portugal

But however blind and thirsty
You walk in your blood, you insane people,
There will be no shortage of Christians
In this small Lusitanian house:
From Africa it has seafaring seats;
It is in Asia more than all sovereign;
In the new fourth part the fields are plowed;
And if there was more world, it would be there.

Luís Vaz de Camões, d'Os Lusiadas, Canto VII, Verse 14

Between 1415, after a great victory, Portugal conquered Ceuta in the north of Morocco, which would originate the Portuguese Colonial Empire. D. João I, of the Good Memory, saw with the potential that Portugal had to start exploring what could be south of the Portuguese coast. Still in the 1410s, Portugal discovered the islands of Madeira and the Azores.
Between 1421 and 1467, the person in charge of discovering the African coast was Infant D. Henrique, who made great progress, reaching what is now the Province of Sierra Leone. For two years, the explorations were stopped, but in 1469, Fernão Gomes explored part of the African coast, but under a contract. The maximum he reached was up to Cape of Santa Catarina. From 1475, the direction was headed by King D. John II, the Perfect Prince. Between 1475 and 1487, a large part of the coast of Sub-Saharan Africa was discovered, until, in 1488, Bartolomeu Dias doubled what we now know as Cape of Good Hope. Here, John II proved that the cartographers of Classical Antiquity were completely wrong and that it was possible to reach India by sea, which was great, since after the fall of Constantinople in 1453, the Ottoman Turks cut off access by land and the Venetians were selling spices from India higher and higher. Then D. João II started to prepare an expedition to India.
In 1492, a man asked the king for an audience. The man was called Christopher Columbus, but there was an uncertainty about that man: no one knew where he was from, where he was born. He told the king that to go to India they had to go west and they would arrive faster. The king was not convinced, as they had found an easier way to get to India. So Columbus went to ask the court of Castile to give him a fleet, and that year he left, and ended up discovering the American continent. D. João II did not react, but continued to work on the project to go to India. In 1494, Portugal and Spain signed the Treaty of Tordesillas, in which it basically divided the world between Castele and Portugal. But the king did not live to see his great feat, as he ended up dying in 1495. His son, D. Manuel I, the Blissful, continued the project, and in 1497, the armada, ascended the leadership of Vasco da Gama. The armada set sail from the Tagus towards India, where they ended up in 1498 in Calicut. It took another year before they arrived back in Lisbon, when they ended up arriving in 1499. This was a hard blow for the Venetians, since power left the Mediterranean for the Atlantic, and for Portugal too.
The end of the 15th century was marked by another discovery. An armada had set sail to go to India after Vasco da Gama's report, and this armada was commanded by Pedro Álvares Cabral. During the trip, they had to make a huge detour from the planned route, and this led to Cabral discovering what Brazil is today. He sent one of his ships back to Portugal to tell what he had discovered to the king, and the rest of the Navy continued on to India.
In 1505, the State of India was founded in Cochin, but 5 years later it was headed from the city of Goa, thanks to Afonso de Albuquerque who conquered it.
From then on, Portugal focused on the Indian Ocean, since there was still someone who imposed imposition: the Ottoman Empire. The battles were always in the ocean, which ended up being won, by Portugal.
The following year, in 1511, after the conquest of Goa, Afonso de Albuquerque conquered Malacca, where he secured a large port in the region, as it was a link between India and China. The first contacts with China were in 1513 and 1517, where they managed to establish trade relations.
In 1519, Fernão de Magalhães, with the help of the Portuguese kings, financed his expedition to go around the world. It concluded in 1522, when he returned to Lisbon and was acclaimed by the kings.
In 1542, the Portuguese were the first Portuguese to set foot on Japanese soil. At the time, the Japanese in the south asked the Portuguese several times to annex them, which would give a prestigious place in Japan, being one of those that could nominate an emperor, but Portugal refused.
In 1543, the Portuguese officially started colonizing Brazil, since the French were keeping an eye on the land and Portugal did not want to lose this great territory.
In 1549, the Portuguese, led by a general who can be compared to Afonso de Albuquerque, António do Algarve, conquered Ilha Formosa and the small archipelago above the island, which was named the Archipelago of China.
Between 1550 and 1555, our dear António do Algarve went to conquer southern Arabia. This conquest was hard, since the Portuguese could not stand the intense heat of the Arabian desert, but managed to conquer much of the south, plus the cities of Hormuz and Kawait. Hormuz was very important, since it was the gateway to the Persian Gulf, and from there riches entered, and Kawait was to do business with the Ottomans, who did not like it but were obliged anyway.
In 1557, an official warehouse was opened in China: Macau. Despite being a warehouse, Portugal bought the island of Macau from China and the army began to circulate to these areas.
In 1559, the Damyios in southern Japan were devastated by wars between themselves, and Antóio do Algarve saw this as an opportunity to have a great position on the islands of Japan, without being obliged to choose a Japanese emperor. Then, on June 7, 1559, António do Algarve invaded the shores of the island of Kyushu, taking the Damyios by surprise. The conquest was completed between the end of December 1559 and January 1560. The rest of the Damyios saw that they could not go against the Portuguese, so the Edo Treaty was signed, in which the Damyios recognizes the territories of Kyushu Island part of Portugal and Portugal promises not to invade the rest of Japan. The Portuguese wanted to invade and stay with the whole island, but António do Algarve, being a man of his word, said that they would not invade the rest and that they would commit to comply with the Treaty.
The rest of the time was to appease the locals. The Jesuits tried to implement Christianity on the island, but they were not allowed by Governor António do Algarve, who died in the position that cost him so much and which he consolidated in Portuguese hands. In 1570, Portugal returned the island of Kyushu to Japan's Shogun as a symbol of friendship.
But 1578 will be the year that will define the monarchy and the Portuguese Empire.

From a brief succession crisis to 1910

In 1578, leaving no heirs, D. Sebastian disappeared at the Battle of Alcácer-Quibir, but it was a Portuguese victory with many losses, including that of the king, which generated a dynastic crisis in Portugal. D. Philip II, king of Spain and half the world, tried to keep the crown, but his forces were defeated by the forces of the new queen of Portugal, Queen Catherine I of the House of Braganza. From then on, there were no problems of succession to the throne, since after Catherine I came Theodosius I, then D. John IV and so on.
Still, Holland was trying to gain its independence from Spain and England was now a Protestant, and Spain could not allow that, so Spain, in 1588, launched the Invincible Armada. The English asked Portugal for help, since they still kept their armada, and as Spain had withdrawn the soldiers to Antwerp, the Portuguese accepted. Before arriving near Brest, the Spanish Armada was destroyed by the Portuguese, and then the Portuguese Navy, with the help of the English, helped the Dutch to gain their independence from Spain. This was the beginning of Spain's decline.

It was also during this time that the famous Father António Vieira denounced the mistreatment against the native Indians of Brazil, as well as protected African slaves. From this moment on, Portugal began a long process of abolishing slavery completely, both in the metropolis and in the overseas territories.
Upon reaching the 18th century, the world and Europe changed, but Portugal managed to maintain its strength, and also with the help of Brazil's gold, managed to maintain this position, although a good part was diverted to the construction of the Mafra Palace, today occupied by House Mountbatten-Bonaparte.
In the 18th century, in the middle of the century, took place the Seven Years' War that it was not only in Europe, but it was worldwide. Portugal was initially left out due to the 1755 earthquake, but Spain decided to attack the Kingdom. Portugal, with the help of Great Britain, managed to reach Madrid, but even so, Portugal did not want to have a united kingdom with its neighbors, since in 1580 they tried to seize the kingdom. This will never leave the mind of Castilians. In South America, the colony of Brazil conquered what is now the Province of Cisplatina and the Province of Portuguese Guiana. It was during this time that Portugal also invaded a large part of the South American interior, but returned to Spain after the war, all thanks to a hitherto unknown general, General António Sinclair, in which he gained fame for this, as well as his family, being represented, in the image, by Ricardo Sinclair, his descendant.

After the war, the United Kingdom almost lost America. This event, the dominated American War of Independence, lasted between 1776 until 1782. Alongside the rebels were France and Spain and beside the United Kingdom were Portugal and the Netherlands. To prevent the French from reaching the continent, the Portuguese royal navy began to destroy the French fleet heading for America, and also began to invade Spain to distract Spanish soldiers, while the United Kingdom managed to control the situation in the Americas. with the help of the Dutch. But even so, the United States achieved complete independence as a federal republic in 1782.
But the 19th century was decisive: the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars changed the history of the old continent and Portugal. In 1801, after losing Olivenza, the Portuguese occupied the Louisiana of the French, after they bought from Spain, but it ended up selling to the United States in 1807. And yet in 1807, the royal family, even though they knew of the risk of a French invasion, did not leave Portugal nor let themselves be captured, but Spain was the one who took it by table. Portugal had the most brilliant masters of war that it could have counted until now: the descendants of António do Algarve and General Eduardo Mocho. Thanks to their great victories, the Mocho family gained a place in history, with their descendant, Eduardo Mocho VIII, represented here.
During the year 1802, both families, the Algarve and the Mocho started the Philippines, as they were part of Napoleonic Spain and would be a good base. With this achievement, the Philippines and Guam were handed over to Portugal when they were about to collapse militarily, and changed the name, as "Philippines" was in honor of Philip II of Spain, and became as the Kingdom of the Novas Beiras. Portugal also took the opportunity to conquer Galicia, fulfilling Afonso Henriques' dream.

World Map in 1880

With the end of the wars, Portugal and the United Kingdom became the superpowers of the time. Lisbon was magnified, with a new restructuring of the city, new bourgeois neighborhoods, a nobility supporting trade and the development of the Industrial Revolution, started in 1750 with the United Kingdom and expanded by it and by Portugal, and also thanks to the Marquis of Pombal, which took the first steps towards the Portuguese Industrial Revolution and the new Lisbon, since the old one was destroyed on November 1, 1755. Education became compulsory and free, bringing down the illiteracy of the Portuguese people. The convoy reached all parts of the kingdom and at this point, the Confederate States of America achieved their independence, in the 1860s.
In 1817, Spain was losing its colonies in the Americas, and Portugal could also lose Brazil. Then, on February 19, 1817, the United Kingdom of Portugal, Brazil and Algarves was created. This was celebrated by all territories, since another dream was realized.
Between 1850 and 1879, Portugal and the United Kingdom went to conquer India. Portugal had already started, but the United Kingdom only entered after 1858, to ensure its power in the area. So, Portugal took over the territories in the Arabian Sea, to protect Portuguese Arabia, plus some cities on the other side, while the United Kingdom keeps the rest, after signing a treaty in 1870, the Treaty of Lisbon.
At the Berlin Conference (1884-1885), Portugal got some of what it wanted. The colonies of Angola, Cabinda, Mozambique, Benin, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea and São Tomé. Portugal managed to maintain the territories of Ceuta and Casablanca, with Portugal having already invested a lot there. He also got a colony that was Liberia, after the USA attacked a Portuguese ship during the Second Mexican War (1881-1882), but ended up selling to Spain. The only independent country was Ethiopia, which won a war with Italy, which ensured its independence.

Africa in 1914

But even so, a group of revolutionaries wanted to establish a republic in Portugal. In 1908, King Carlos I and Prince Heir were assassinated when he was returning from his family vacation in Vila Viçosa, and his youngest son, King Manuel II, ascended the throne, but the revolution continued, and in 1910, a revolution started.

From an attempted republican revolution to World War II

On October 5, 1910, the House of Bragança-Saxe-Coburgo-Gota almost stopped reigning, when a group of rebels tried to create a republic, but failed completely, when Paiva Conceiro's forces managed to destroy the republican defenses in the Rotunda.

World Map in 1914

In 1914, a year in which tensions would be very high, Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary was assassinated in his royal palace. The culprit was a serbian student, and this served as an excuse to declare war on the Kingdom of Serbia. With this, the world was launched, for what would be known, The First Great War.

After the Germans declared war on France and Russia, they invaded Belgium, and the United Kingdom and Portugal, on August 5, 1914, both nations declared war on the German Empire, and began to conquer the German colonies, where Portugal wins German Papua New Guinea, which bordered Australia.
In 1915, the Galipoli campaign turned out to be a failure, with allied troops losing the battle and having to be withdrawn in 1916. The Portuguese colonies were also attacked by the Germans, but Portugal managed to defend them, as well as the British.
On the American continent, the USA was beating the British in Canada and against the Confederates in the south. Even so, the USA managed to pull the British, managing to conquer several important cities in British Canada and managed to pull and enter several Confederate States. In 1917, there were several riots in the French army, as they refused to fight any further, making France ask for peace. In Russia, the Tsar had abdicated at the beginning of the year, in the February Revolution, bringing the Alexander Karesnky government, but in October of that year, Lenin managed to overthrow the government, asking for peace with the Germans to focus on the Civil War that had started. This treaty was known as the 1918 Brest-Litovski Treaty, in which it gave territories to Germany, such as the Baltic states and Ukraine. With this, the United Kingdom and Portugal asked for peace on November 17, 1918. After that, Germany, the United Kingdom, Portugal and the United States helped the whites to win the Civil War in 1920, bringing Tsar Nicolas II back to power.
Even so, Portugal managed to secure its colonies before the war including the government.
Germany created Mittelafrika, which unites two German colonies in a large colony in central Africa, as well as created Mitteleuropa, an economic alliance with puppet countries, plus Ireland and Holland.
The United Kingdom lost Bermuda, the Bahamas, Ireland, and Canada, in which the Federation wants to complain again.

Even so, Portugal continued to have a strong army and a good economy during the 1920s, in cooperation with the United Kingdom and the United States, which, despite winning the war, still lacked employment. King Manuel II continued with his high popularity with the population, as he continued to expand the infrastructure of the Kingdom as well as of the overseas provinces, as well as health and education, thanks to the government stability felt after 1911. But in 1932, a tragedy happens.
On July 2, 1932, the king eventually suffocated by an edema of the glottis in the palace of Mafra. When this news reached Prime Minister Pedro de Alcantrâ, he was shocked, because in the meantime the king had left no offspring. There were two forces that could have become the reigning force: Maria Pia de Saxe-Coburgo and Bragança, who said she was the daughter of D. Carlos I, although she never saw King Manuel II; and the Miguelist Branch that was banned by law after the Civil War. But it was here that the Prime Minister found a member of royalty who was not contortioned or banned by law: D. Jorge de Albuquerque. When the letter arrived asking him to be the next king, he accepted the post, being proclaimed King Jorge I of Portugal on August 6, 1932 in Lisbon.
He accepted the position because now the Portuguese people could not be divided, because Europe was on fire and fire: Oswald Mosley managed to get his party to come to power in the United Kingdom, France was once again the Kingdom of France, with King Charles XI, and the Confederate States, in 1934, placed a far-right leader as president for life from the second term: Jake Featherston.

Spain in 1935

The biggest event happened when Spain entered the Civil War in 1935.

This is Francisco Franco

The monarchy of the Borboun dynasty, led by Afonso XIII, was at the limit, and with economic crises in Spain, which almost led the country to bankruptcy in 1922, several people were fed up, and three groups appeared. The Carlistas, led by Afonso Carlos, Duke of San Jaime, was an alternative of the Borboun branch, to bring traditionalism back to Spain, that is, to undo liberal reforms; the Republicans, who wanted to end the monarchy once and for all, because in their eyes, it only brought problems to Spain; and the National Labor Confederation, or CNT, which was a syndicalist, and wanted to implement a syndicalist regime in Spain, putting an end to traditionalism and religion in the country.
The three factions were already prepared and well armed, and they were all waiting for a reason to start the war. On July 1, 1935, with so much economic instability and the assassination of King Afonso XIII that morning, General Francisco Franco revolted in the territory of North Africa, thus starting the Spanish Civil War.
The three factions had their international supporters: the Carlistas were supported by Portugal, the German Empire, Austria-Hungary, Russia and Great Britain; the CNT were supported by France and the Confederate States of America; and the Republicans were supported by the United States, Quebec, Mexico and the Netherlands.
The three had one goal: to capture Madrid. Madrid, the former capital of a unified Spain, was in the hands of the Carlistas, and the CNT and the Republicans bordered the Madrid region, and throughout the civil war, Madrid was a battlefield entirely, with minefields and with slogans like Death to the Syndicalist. Despite this, each one was in different places: the Carlistas were in the north and in the North of Africa, the CNT was in Catalonia and Valencia, as well as in the Balearics and the Republicans were in the south of Spain.
The Republicans were disorganized, so disorganized that they could hardly stand their defensive line, nor could they make offensives. The CNT was able to make offensives, but in 1939, its line was destroyed when the Carlistas managed to advance into Catalonia. While Carlistas managed to denounce and make offensive to both, but in Madrid it was a win or lose situation.
In 1940, the Republican front began to fall apart, but they still managed to mount a good defense. Still in November 1940, the Carlistas occupied the Balearics, and from there the navy begins to bomb Barcelona, which is almost completely destroyed in a week, where thousands of civilians died, being the most deadly event of the Civil War.
In the late 1940s, the Republicans surrendered when the Carlistas arrived in Seville, the republican capital. It was only in February 1940 that the syndicalist surrendered, ending the Spanish Civil War. In this war, a general stood out, who was General Francisco Franco, the youngest general in Europe, who now becomes the Head of Government under the reign of Xavier I of Spain.

World in 1941

Even so, the world would not see peace anytime soon, because on June 4, 1941, Kaiser Wilhelm II, the Emperor who won the First World War, died in Berlin, and left a world in which he just had a recession. in the past decade. His son, who now becomes Kaiser Wilhelm III, refused France's request to return the territories of Alsace-Lorraine. For the new Entente, this was a reason to start a war. On June 22nd, 1941, 18 days after the death of the former Kaiser, the Second World War begins.
This role was advantageous, as it was able to receive money from both sides, both from Germany and Britain, which it used to build better infrastructure and improve the educational system of the kingdom and the overseas provinces. It also managed that Spain, recently out of the Civil War, is neutral, because if one enters one side, Spain would not be able to take it. It worked, causing both countries to stand side by side, after centuries of struggles between them.
But the war was brutal on all counts. This was the case for the Battle of Pittsburgh, which was the mourning between Irving Morrel and George Patton, the two great generals of the USA and the ECA. Of course, the United States won the battle for the city, which was almost a Madrid, but in the New World.
Japan had been at war with China since 1937, and when the war started, they entered the side of the Entente, and attacked the island of Midway, and won the battle and a year later, in 1942, when the USA was going to recover the islands , found the island abandoned, as the Japanese began to attack the British colonies, because in the 1920s it managed French Indochina and the Dutch East Indies.
At the time, France had already invaded Germany, Belgium, which was a German puppet state, and Holland, which was on Germany's side. This is where the Super-Bomb was invented.
To end the war, Germany delivered an ultimatum to Russia to surrender. The Russians refused, so Germany dropped the bomb on Petrograd, but the Tsar was not there and still refused to surrender. Then Germany delivered the same ultimatum to France, which it also refused. Then they dropped the bomb on Paris, where the king was. Paris was completely destroyed. From here, France asked for an armistice, and soon afterwards Russia did the same, as there was a chance that Japan would invade Siberia. The United Kingdom, in an attempt to win the war, dropped the bomb in Hamburg. Germany was screwed, and then tried to drop the bomb in the UK, but the bombers were shot down before they reached the English coast, yet it was a reason for the UK to call for an armistice.
In the Americas, Jake Featherston was killed by locals while trying to form guerrillas in the south, this after the US pushed its forces into the south. Texas, seeing this, declared ECA independence, and here they told the world that Featherston had concentration camps against African Americans and others. The war, in all its respect, ended on July 14th, 1944.
Portugal and Spain took a deep breath, as they were happy to have remained neutral and not to have suffered what happened in France and Russia, and, after this war, decreed 1 week of mourning for the losses of the Spanish Civil War and the Second World War.
In 1945, with the United Kingdom still at war with Japan in Asia, Portugal provided help, making the United Kingdom recover Burma and Singapore, managing to maintain its power in Asia, including Japan almost attacked Portugal, but seeing the Portuguese navy in Timor, they asked to sign a Non-Aggression Pact.
It was between 1946 and 1949, relations between the United States and Germany were down, both countries entered a competition state, in an event that is still going on: the Cold War.

From the Cold War to the reign of Jorge II of Portugal

This is António O. Salazar

With the end of World War II, the world was divided into a new event, the Cold War, becoming some on the side of Germany, others on the side of the United States and others were neutral. The United Kingdom of Portugal, Brazil and the Algarves was leaning towards neutrality, but many events would make Portugal side with Germany.

Madagascar in 1951

As early as 1950, 6 years after the end of the war, The Madagascar Crisis took place, as the Madagascar rebels , who had won the war against France, attacked the Portuguese and German ports, made Germany and the United Kingdom allies and divided the island after the war, and yes, they won the war in 1954, after 4 years of struggle.
With this victory, the Portuguese-speaking army and navy were in shape, and in third place compared to the United States and Germany. The Portuguese-speaking people were proud of their armed forces, and it was now time to rebuild their part of Madagascar, and also to build new highways in their overseas possessions, in the Kingdom of Brazil and in the Kingdom of Portugal and the Algarve.
In 1959, overseas possessions moved to overseas provinces, governed by a governor, ceasing to have "colony" status, and now to be part of the United Kingdom as provinces and not colonies. This is thanks to good prime ministers, who wanted to integrate the Portuguese-speaking peoples in one country.
With the 1960 elections, António de Oliveira Salazar, a member of the National Party, won the elections, and with him, several reforms were made, one of which was the creation of a space program, in which the United Kingdom was intended to arrive first to the Moon than Germany and the United States, and in 1967, they managed to reach the Moon, after several attempts. Salazar, who was in his second term at the time, was crying when he heard the news that Portuguese speakers had arrived on the moon.
But, a year later, Salazar's rule would end abruptly when he fell down the stairs when he was visiting King Jorge I. Salazar would eventually die in 1970, of a heart attack, at the age of 81. An entire nation mourned his death and all embassies paid tribute to the former Prime Minister.
Even so, stability remained high, until 1980, when His Majesty King Jorge I died at the Palacio de Queluz at the age of 91. When her daughter came to power, the country was stirred up by Republicans to try to implement the republic, as it was thought to do in 1910.
In 1993, when Rainha Biatriz I was in Brazil, it was the moment of the revolution, causing the government to leave for Brazil, but this would be considered the Portuguese Civil War. Only the well-trained Portuguese army joined the rebellion, because otherwise it was with the monarchy. Germany helped Queen Biatriz, while the United States helped the republic.
The civil war would last until 1994, since they managed to mount a good invasion in Ceuta and also from Galicia, with permission from Spain. With the battle of Porto on March 3rd, 1994, republican forces were destroyed, and now nothing prevented the monarchical forces from marching to Lisbon. It was only on April 3rd that the republican government surrendered, returning the government to the monarchical hands.
The queen returned to Lisbon on the 5th of April, with a large party organized by the popular. But even so, her reign would be short, since, on September 3rd, 1998, she died after a complicated surgical operation. As she had no children, the only heir was her cousin, Prince Jorge de Braganza-Habsburg-Lorraine, who took the throne on November 4th, 1998, becoming Jorge II of Portugal and of the Algarves, II of Brazil.

From the reign of Jorge II to the present
The beginning of his reign began with several reforms, at the request of the monarch. The United Kingdom would have to be brought into the 21st century, which was two years away.
Then, the constitution was revised, the parliament was modernized and the monarch lost powers. But even so, for him, his reign soon started with a death. His wife, Princess Barbara, who refused to be queen while he was ill, ends up dying 10 days after he was crowned. He was devastated by the death, staying in his palace, closed to everyone, for two weeks, when he gathered his strength and returned to show his to the public.

World Map in 2001

He was very popular, that everywhere he went, he got out of the car and went to greet people. In his reign, there were new innovations, such as new technologies, new means of communication and also new tactics of war. There was also an expansion of railways and motorways, as well as seaports and airports.
Moreover, his reign was calm for the United Kingdom, but the world remains trapped in a Cold War that has not yet seen its end. Brazil also expanded its borders, buying part of the Amazon from Gran Colombia, all of this in 2010.
But the king knew it was time to pass on his legacy to the youngest, as the Prime Minister, Francisco Rodrigues dos Santos, is the youngest Prime Minister the world has ever seen. Then, on June 26th, 2020, the king abdicates in his Letter of Abdication, passing the crown to his daughter from his marriage, Lady Rose.
She was first crowned in Portugal, as Queen Isabel I of Portugal and the Algarves, and then was crowned in Brazil, as Empress Isabel I do Brazil.
Unfortunately, during an operation, she eventually dies. The only successor is his brother, Principe Duarte. Then he becomes Duarte II of Portugal and the Algarves, I of Brazil. It was at this time that his father fell into a coma, and his wife, Lady Cristiana, the viceroy from India, Lord Digmann Von Valerstein and his girlfriend, Lola Rodrigues and the governor of Mozambique, Filipe Dionísio do everything to find who put him in a coma, and they can find it, and that was when Sir Jorge saved Von Valerstein from a safe death. It was after his father's coma that he says he has a co-monarch, Queen Catherine III of Portugal and of the Algarves, II of Brazil.
We are now in his reign, in the year of grace 2020, and will the world now be in a cold war for a few more years?

Cease the sage Grecian, and the Man of Troy
to vaunt long Voyage made in bygone day:
Cease Alexander,Trajan cease to 'joy
the fame of victories that have pass'd away:
The noble Lusian's stouter breast sing I,
whom Mars and Neptune dared not disobey:
Cease all that antique Muse hath sung, for now
A better Brav'ry rears its bolder brow.

The constitution is ready and updated, it only needs a english version

Lisbon, 26th June, 2020

My fellow citizens of the United Kingdom,

For these past two decades, I have been King of Portugal and the Algarves, and Emperor of the Brazil.
When I took the throne in the 90's, I had the difficult job in restoring the Kingdom of Portugal to it's former glory, in a world divided between the German Side and the American Side. Portugal put herself as leader of the Non-Aligned, while others sided with Germany or with the United States.
Portugal's economy grown since 1998, thanks to improvement in reletions with Germany and the United States, improvement of infrastructures in Portugal and it's overseas provinces and build up of a new and big merchant fleet.
The 2000's were met by the creation of new technology, like new phones, new ways of communications and a new way to talk to you. The Prime-Ministers adapt the technology to Portugal, in a way to improve better the economy and the lives of the average portuguese.

The 2010's the civil rights of every portuguese were improved, with the legalization of abortion, so those woman that didn't want to have a child, after a violation or other reason, and the euthanasia, so that the old man, that were in pain, don't suffer more.
This new federation is made of kingdoms, principalities and republics, with kings and governors, and prime-ministers and a emperor. When I became monarch in 1998, I made one promise: hold all the United Kingdom together, which happen, with a new constitution and new people in politics.

Now this makes everything sad. I have to tell you now that this message is my way to abdicate the throne of Portugal and Emperor of Brazil in favour of my dauther, Princess Rose, which, by her wish, will become Queen of Portugal and Empress of Brazil, has Queen Isabel, which is the I of Portugal and the Algarves, and I of Brazil.
This is my way to thank you all for these two decades that I have been your king and your Emperor, but this Cold War can't last longer, and the one to blink would be the US, but we will never know.

Viva o Reino Unido!
Long Live the United Kingdom!

Jorge of Braganza-Habsburg-Lorraine, King of Portugal and the Algarves, Emperor of Brazil

The Letter of Abdication has been updated

Lisbon, 29th June, 2020

When the day began, the sun was shining on Lisbon, the streets had been cleaned the day before and flowers were in every window of every house all over the city as today is a special day.

The Palace of São Bento, the building of the Parliment of the Kingdom of Portugal, got ready for the event, with flags of Portugal and of the United Kingdom of Portugal, Brazil and the Algarves flying not only in the parliment, but all over the country.

Today is the coronation of Lady Rose, daughter of the former King of Portugal and Emperor of Brazil, Jorge II of Portugal and the Algarves, II of Brazil. He had abdicated because he wanted to pass the crown to a new generation, since he was already 20 years as monarch of Portugal and Brazil, and it was time to change.

She was, at the time, in the Royal Palace of Pena, in Sintra, getting ready for her long ride to Lisbon by car. Her mother telling her how was to oath while her father went to get a special present. When her mother walk way, he went there and gave the present, a beautiful ring, with the symbol of the Royal Housa, and he said:
-My little Rose, today is your coronation, your day has come, and I give you this present: the ring from our Royal House. You will now be the head of the Royal House and of a Empire.
She said:
-Thank You father. It is a beautiful ring, and I won't let you down, nor the kingdom, not the union.

After that, they left the palace in a beuatiful Rolls Royce Phantom V, that it was a gift by Great Britain to King Jorge II in 2015. The Portuguese Guard, the elite soldiers, went with the car, side by side, in horses, all the way to the Palace of São Bento, and during the short trip, the population smiled and applauded the new queen and the royal family.

The first one to arrive at the palace was the Prime-Minister Francisco Rodrigues dos Santos, a young and promising politician that won the elections when the Hispanian Union was created.
And as a special guest, the Grand Duke of Alentejo and Algarve, Eduardo Mocho VIII, went to Lisbon to see the coronation of the Queen, and to see the former king, which they are best friends.

When they (the Royal Family) arrived, they were received with joy by the population and shouting "God Save the Queen". They went inside the Chamber of Parliment, where the ceremony was to be taken place, to see it full of people and ambassadors, and the Grand Duke of Alentejo and Algarve.
The Prime-Minister was on the side of the Queen, and the leader of the Cortes started:
"Ladies and Gentlemen,
The Cortes are gathered to receive the coronation of the queen and her oath that she will not go against the constitution and the state.
It was presented the oath to the queen, and she said:
"I, Lady Rose of Braganza-Habsburg-Lorraine, solemnly swear to exercise the functions of Queen of Portugal, with deep love for my country, acting in the best interest of the country and for the good of my people, with the name of Isabel I of Portugal."
To end, the leader of the Cortes said:
"Ladies and Gentlemen
The Cortes received the oath. From now on, Lady Rose of Braganza-Habsburg-Lorraine will rule as Queen Isabel I of Portugal.
Long live the Queen!
Viva Portugal!
The anthem of Portugal was played in the Chamber, with everyone singing. Then they went to Terreiro do Paço, where there was a huge military parade in honour of the new Queen, where the former king presented another gift, that it was a statue of the Queen, that replaced the old one of King Joseph I of Portugal that it was destroyed by the short-lived republic in the 90's.
With that, the queen retuned to the palace to prepare, because at 20:45pm, she will departure from the Airport of Lisbon, in the Royal Plane, to Rio de Janeiro, where she will be crown as Empress of Brazil.

But for now, she is Queen Isabel I of Portugal.

God Save Queen Isabel I

A special thanks to Owl Archipelago for been Eduardo Mocho VIII, the Grand Duke of Alentejo and Algarve and for review this before publishing.

Good one

After runoff votes, the CAP race is still to close to call. Exit polls say that there could be less than 100 votes in it. CAP rules say that a tie of less than 100 votes is decided by the parliamentary party, meaning it could come down to that emergency power.

Is representation in media valuable? Must diverse viewpoints be celebrated and encouraged, or should the film industry not change the status quo to let in outsiders? Is film a medium that matters in reflecting society, and should it be used to show what is, or what could be?

A new poll for all of my darlings is available, and if you have not seen any of the films on the list, I highly recommend all of them.

I'm a day late with this, sorry.
