Lectures aren't any better.

I can learn this stuff, but combining it with my general lack of energy that quarantine has brought on, it's just hard to do anything for it.

Good, because I can hardly explain 2 plus two much less the different types of missiles, how to use them, and how Radar works.

Yeah. I don't understand technology for dick. And ever since realism took over, war hasn't been fun to type out for me.

I'm kinda stuck on what to do now because Valsora is the only reliably relevant map anymore, and I can't do sh*t there anymore.

Martis moves closer to the mural in order to inspect it. Of particular note is the pair of knights keeping the hordes of demons at Bay. "Who is this, the swordsman with wings? Does he have a name? His heroism resembles Ademar's campaign against the foreign abominations that ruled the Steppe before the Pakotskě came. He led us out of our hiding places in the great hills and brought us into our new prosperity." Martis mutters a short prayer of thanks to Ademar in Pakatska before inspecting the other parts of the painting.

Asp nods. That's Zerachiel. One of the great powers of the world, who chose long ago to be the guardian of the vulnerable -- and then made dragons for the same purpose, after Aphaeleon fell. He has many titles based on those roles, and Professor Letwin -- ah, I should let him tell you that himself. Anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if they're similar figures, I'll say that.

Spotter: RPG!
Scout: Son of a b*tch gets up with spotter and runs away from the cliff as it vanished behind them.

Meanwhile on the ground

That was a mistake. Thankfully the smoke hasn't fully covered them, so they saw that. The downside, machinegun fire that didn't hit, but was too close for safety.

Sergeant Yun: Sir, we can see them, but we're getting lit! Scout Team one just had an RPG for breakfast! a bullet somehow hits his left hand F*ck!
Lieutenant Ryu: When the firing pauses or changes directions get ready to fire. in comms Scout Team two, please tell me you have a shot on either one of those machine gunners.
Scout 2: hiding in the trees in the Southwest with a spotter who is using his marksman rifle Sir, we have plenty.
Lieutenant Ryu: in comms We don't need plenty. If you can divert their attention, for even a second, that'll help
Scout 2: roger that! aims at machine gunners and some riflemen you see them?
Spotter 2: Yep. Though kinda fuzzy.
Scout 2: Don't worry, I'll make the really accurate shots. You just need to drive their attention.
Spotter 2: You got it.
Scout 2: Aaaand waits until machinegunners stop now.

Scout 2 hits one machine gunner and then the other. Spotter lands some misses close enough for the Spetznaz to notice them, while managing to wound one rifle man.

Lieutenant Ryu: Manages to get a clear shot from his cover for a brief second Fire!

The 2 squads follow suit.

Rolling his eyes, Martis continues to jot down notes about the mural. "I understand these abominations to the right, and I guess that the fallen warrior and the child are Tarkel's comrade-in-arms and apprentice, respectively. But who is the earth-lady to the left? I know not of any stories regarding giants or spirits of the Land; is she a powerful sorceress, cursed for her infidelity by imprisonment in the rock? But then, she would not hold humanity so dear as to cradle them. I guess, then, that she is a great hero among the Brethren, who after her death was immortalized in the living stone. Yes, that makes sense." Martis closes his notebook and turns to Asp. "You speak of 'great powers' whose duty and honor was to protect those who could not defend themselves. Beyond Tarkel, who you have mentioned, and the other one -- I know not how to pronounce his name -- who are they? Topics such as this greatly intrigue me, and I would hear more of them." His astonishment at the sheer wealth and beauty of the Brethren city has passed, and his mission is back in his mind: to learn more about the Brethren and, especially, if they heed the word of Ademar. "Or will I have to wait for your professor to tell me that, as well?"

A region with more nations doesn't always translate into more activity (puppets).

OOC: Martis has trouble pronouncing complex names, since he's a speaker of a different language, so he just converts them to something "simpler" for him to pronounce. Also, Pakatska culture is not known for stories involving something other than fighting or trickery, so don't be surprised if he totally forgets about the mountain lady.

With granted permissions, the ships of the combined Kriegsmarine start heading towards the coast of Kurikia with the intent of refueling. The carriers and their escorts hangback however, and start activating their hammers while launching their aircraft, a combination of Piranha jets, MS-23 CAS jets, and Sharktail bombers with their accompanying AEW&C aircraft activating aerial jammers. Ahead of them is an assault force of attack and transport helicopters that head towards the coast. With the main fleet getting closer towards the coast, the order is given. The fleet stops, spread out in the desired position launching hundreds of missiles, mostly supersonic cruise missiles, towards Kurikian positions along the coast, using their satellite assisted radar to target naval guns, airbases, ships, and coastal defenses. Battle cruisers immediately start sending shells from their main batteries down range that head towards the coast. While the barrage begins, landing craft start pouring from assault craft filled to the brim with soldiers and vehicles that head towards 4 different beachheads across 25 miles. Piranha jets then start firing SEAD missiles targeting soviet radar stations and SAM sites guided by AEW&C aircraft to hit their target.

Strange that it has less nations than TWP's. Is TWP Japanese themed?

Anyway, NoN' news:

Chicken Overlords beat TWP AND TP in Number of Nations. Codex Y. beat TRR in NoN', becoming the first GCR besides a warzone to get thrown out of the first page of NoN' in a while.
