      | RP: An alliance against Peace |

The Continental Technate: Kemonomica, Otyken

Mentioned Nation(s): Nonadia, Laurentiea, Neuerstaat

Honalulu has criticized the government of Nonadia for its actions to diminish any semblance of peace between the Technate and Vesperia. Making claims that the SDC nor the VU stands for peace and want to segregate and divide the people of the continent through strong arming them.

Honalulu warns Nonadia that if it goes down this route that relations between the Technate and the SDC will plunge to an all time low. Their actions to dismantle NAP’s, Embassies, and other cooperations between Laurentiea and Honalulu shows that Nonadia and those who support their actions desire for a war against the Technate and thus Honalulu shall act to stop the SDC from its aggressive agenda.

RP: Empire Commissions Coast Guard

The Imperial Armed Forces have been expanded with a new branch. The Coast Guard shall consist of 100,000 soldiers across 20 Forts and 30 naval bases. There shall also be new ships being split from the Navy or built anew. This Coast Guard shall be tasked solely with defending the shores of the Empire. This shall also allow a downsizing of the Navy, itself. The plan to set everything up shall be expensive but shall be beneficial, overall.

Astral pacts

Although a bit saddened at the reluctance of Glóavið to accept an alliance, three out of four objectives being completed was more than what the Dze initially hoped for. The Tsotʻaan himself would travel to the Owlet Enclave to innaugurate the alliance with the nation and drafts for the industrial cooperation and trade deals would be made and presented to the respective High Commissioners. Both nations would be granted an Embassy in the capital of Łʻysxḿoˮniq as well as Consultates-general in the port of Ŋołtʻokeq and even in Jar Dëzeno, the centre of the Ontes Clan.

Although no talks of establishing bases or anything of the sort had started yet, the nation of Owlet would still be asked about their willingness for Joint Military Exercises in the near future, to showcase that the alliance was not just a piece of paper and that it was, as a matter of fact, a proper effort of equal commitment.

RP: Owlet Greetings

High Commissioner Rigona Kita would personally welcome the Dze Tsotʻaan with the aid of her cybersprite to help with translations. She would state how honored it was to be approached by the regional powerhouse. There was also a worry over their neighbors the Tori factions given a recent conflict that happen with one of the more radical groups. Owlets defence force would be more then willing to work with the Dze in Joint Military Exercises.

**Title: Birth of a New Era: The Commonwealth of Arousonaci Sansereta**

**Robin Lake City, Arousonac** – In an historic move that marks a turning point in regional cooperation and unity, the Republic of Arousonac and the neighboring Sanseretan regions have ratified a treaty establishing the Commonwealth of Arousonaci Sansereta. This groundbreaking alliance aims to foster a shared future of prosperity, security, and cultural exchange, signifying a profound commitment to peace and collaboration.

The agreement, signed in a high-profile ceremony in the capital, Robin Lake City, was attended by leaders from both Arousonac and Sansereta, international dignitaries, and thousands of citizens who gathered to witness this momentous occasion. President Alexandre Klapataktic, alongside Sanseretan representatives, hailed the Commonwealth as "a beacon of hope and a testament to what we can achieve when we embrace unity over division."

**A Framework for Cooperation**

The Commonwealth of Arousonaci Sansereta establishes a comprehensive framework for economic, defense, and cultural cooperation between the two regions. Key aspects of the treaty include:

- **Economic Integration:** The creation of a common market to facilitate free trade and investment, aiming to boost growth, create jobs, and enhance competitiveness on the global stage.
- **Defense and Security:** A mutual defense pact to ensure collective security against external threats, along with joint military exercises and intelligence sharing to bolster regional stability.
- **Cultural and Educational Exchange:** Initiatives to promote cultural understanding and unity, including student exchange programs, joint cultural festivals, and the establishment of a Commonwealth History and Culture Commission.

**Reactions and Expectations**

The response to the formation of the Commonwealth has been overwhelmingly positive, with many viewing it as a bold step towards a more integrated and peaceful region. "This is not just a treaty; it's a new beginning for all of us," remarked a local business owner in Robin Lake City. "The possibilities for growth and innovation are boundless."

However, some critics have raised concerns about potential challenges, including the harmonization of laws and policies, and the impact on local industries. President Klapataktic addressed these concerns, emphasizing that "every effort will be made to ensure that the Commonwealth brings benefits to all, with mechanisms in place to address any issues that may arise."

**Looking Ahead**

As the Commonwealth of Arousonaci Sansereta takes its first steps, the eyes of the world are on this unique partnership. With plans already underway for a series of joint initiatives ranging from infrastructure projects to environmental conservation efforts, the future of the Commonwealth looks bright.

"The Commonwealth of Arousonaci Sansereta stands as a model for regional cooperation, offering a new path forward based on mutual respect, shared values, and an unshakeable belief in our common destiny," concluded President Klapataktic.

As Arousonac and Sansereta embark on this new journey together, the hope is that the Commonwealth will not only transform the region but also inspire similar efforts towards unity and cooperation around the globe.

Whispers of a rump state, surviving in the desolate expanses of the north, stirred the Technate's interest a collective ever drawn to the esoteric. Under the cloak of night, an aircraft bearing the rare insignia of the Continental Constabulary touched down at Dze's northern research base. The craft owned by the federal law enforcement wing, without jurisdiction in these parts, conducted swift maintenance and refueling before vanishing into the hinterlands for hours, only to return and swiftly depart for Otyken. The Otykenese, driven by tales woven into the fabric of local legend, sought the enigmatic Iktah. It was their culture and relics that held keys to the enduring quest of the Senzo Isan. In a bold maneuver, the peculiar aircraft dispatched paratroopers and gear into the wilds, laying the groundwork for an advanced archaeological encampment. This was soon followed by a flotilla of warships charting a course northward, their helicopters buzzing towards the nascent base. The Iktah, believed to be botanical in nature, were an anomaly flourishing in a realm of near perpetual twilight. Yet, as the days unfolded, the Technate's presence burgeoned. High mobility transporters navigated to sites revealed by aerial reconnaissance, rumored to harbor locals. The heavy military footprint was a because they anticipated volatility and peril posed by the elusive rump state.

For nearly forty years now the old lands of what used to be the Noteer Imperium have been in constant war, ever since the strife within the Hyr'sae Imperial Family and their later departure. Noble families from all four species had been battling a constant war, occassionally interrupted by human incursions or the rare dzeii intervention whenever the conflict spilled over to the east, and the region was exhausted.

The areas near the arctic coast, sparsely populated by Whintrans, numbering less than 200,000, had been annexed by Atraland in recent times without resistance, but the rest of the Imperium kept on fighting. To the north and east were the Whintrans, Stoic and Defiant, and to the west where the Autumnals, Shrewd and Distant, while to the south lay the Sumerians, Tall and Proud, and the Springalians, or their remnant, inhabited either of the three zones.

The Whintrans were dominated by the P'arr'sae and Vak'sae clans, though numerous more remained independent, with the extreme northeast being a myriad of tribal societies no larger than a single valley in many occassions, whist the Autumnals had been recently unified by the Ðan'sae Dynasty; the Sumerians also formed a unified front under the Dyr'sae Kingdom, descendants of a former ally of Dar'hyr'sae, last Imperator of the Noteer. One last enclave of Iktah society was to be found right in the border with Dzeia, as a Springalian nation, known in common as the Khali'tur, lay under the protection of the Tsotʻaan, despite them also harboring the remnants of the Hyr'sae Dynasty.

Although at first, the scouts of Otyken would be left undisturbed, they would soon begin to face armed resistance from the states they encountered, having developed a fierce isolationism, specially the Whintrans, who would regularly attempt to sabotage infrastructure or kill the Otykenese, despite their inferior technology, limited to magically-enhanced flintlock muskets. Due to their dis-united state however, the nuisance would be minor compared to what the Ðan'sae or Dyr'sae would do shoud have they found themselves target of this.

Despite this, the Otykenese would face a simple challenge, all coastlines nearby were owned by other powers, namely Atraland and Dzeia, the former of which had no relations to the Technate and the latter having a few reasons to distrust any and all military presence of theirs in the area, so the difficulty of getting there was only increased, but a unique possibility arose from aiding any one side. Should the Iktah re-unite, a plausible opening for a technate-aligned state was suddenly a thing, right in the backyard of the Northern Commonwealth; should the Otykenese favor one side or the other, betting on Atran and Dzeii inaction, they could gain a potentially great point of leverage on the local geopolitics, perhaps threatening the entire status quo.

RP | Recognize Gartentor

The Gartentor-Pact was a military defense agreement formed in 1820 by a set of Insect-Folk civilizations native to the island of Fargarden, with the purpose of countering their neighbor Amberleaf, a very militaristic colony of Ant-Folk, which was once so small and bullyable but had grown a real pain to deal with. Initially providing a dominating opponent to Amberleaf, the members of the Gartentor-Pact soon fell victim to their internal squabbles, and conflicts with their other neighbors. With these problems going on, Amberleaf managed to fiercely fight itself through the larger opponents. When the first of them fell, it was the beginning of the end, as the colonist nation was building up momentum.

As the size and power of Amberleaf so did the member-count of the Gartentor-Pact, as more of the many native states joined, slowly becoming attentive of the rising threat. The Gartentor-Pact was becoming something sophisticated and committed, forming into the Gartentor Coalition. But its expansion and development was always a step being being able to counter Amberleaf fully as the native states would only leave their other affairs in favor of Gartentor only after it was already too late.

Around 1850 was the year when Gartentor would encounter its last great defeat, and Amberleaf had gotten the clear upper hand. After that point, the realization was setting in that the decade-long campaign had already been lost, it was now only a matter of time. Many communities started withdrawing to mountains, the Deepwoods, or other places to setup their last stronghold. While most strongholds would be conquered and destroyed in the coming decade, the Deepwoods were a anomalously large and impenetrable forest.

The remnants of previous civilizations still held tight to the Gartentor Coalition, and forced together to share a space would use it as a foundation to establish the Gartentor Confederacy. It proved highly dysfunctional, but after decades of infighting, a certain order and structure was setting in. The political system was a mess, and often went to who held the biggest stick at the time. The three factions currently fighting over control of the Gartentor political apparatus were the Mantis, the Dragonflies, and the Wasps.

But it provided a semi-functional society that had not completely collapsed, unlike the Amberlevians likely had hoped and assumed. And while Amberleaf was loosing sight of Gartentor, the opposite was not as true. Occasionally shapeshifting Druids were sent out to secretly check out the development of their enemies outside the Deepwoods.

It was now 2012. The space in the Deepwoods had grown thing, and Amberleaf had been slowly expanding into it. Occasional encounters became more frequent, until direct contact with major Gartentor towns had become inevitable. Gartentor knew it was severely underpowered for a 1 on 1 war with Amberleaf. But it also knew the political climate would forbid Amberleaf from committing to its historical all-out aggression. The main hope was getting international support from those with grievances against Amberleaf.

Gartentor emerged from the Deepwoods outwards, moving forwards its severely outdated military, claiming territory, drawing boundaries, and announcing internationally the Confederacy of Gartentor. Gartentor mindfully avoided populated Amberlevian areas, but didn't refuse to treat on the rural regions, triggering occasional violent altercations from the locals. They did have a short period of Amberlevian unpreparedness, until they managed to bring their military into position.

Gartentor asks for recognition of its statehood, recognition of its borders, and recognition of its claim to the native lands that were so brutally taken by colonizing imperialists, to whom they had historically always been so totally very nice to, they swear.

RP: Seneca Effect
Technological Obsolescence has become a crushing problem in the Technate since the 2010s begun, emerging technologies that have been implemented over the past decade have caused many things to become obsolete, and the cost of upgrades and replacements has become absolutely astounding, the continuous drive for technical progress has reached major obstacle with continued improvements of the information age leading to rapid and improved design primarily facilitated by computers.

Some of the older Urbantes have become totally obsolete with technology from the 80s driving them, while others look like something from the Space Age at a huge cost and reliance on rare materials for the computers and sustainable self-sufficient systems. The Continental Board has decided to suspend construction of new Urbanates for the time being to remediate this problem, any currently in construction are permitted to be finished, but no new ones will be created.

This controversial decision raised much concern because of the population increase since the 2000s, and many are concerned they won't have homes; the computer systems initiated a plan to house these people in more timeless precast buildings that didn't have nearly as many Smart features so they are not true Urbanates. Furthermore, new towns and low rises will be created in Otyken as they have plenty of room to build, and expanding the rural population to accommodate growth was more than easy, especially after the new Super Road System was implemented.
------------
Incidence of violent crime without a profit incentive
The city of Yueliang had a high-intensity shootout between a gang of armed criminals and the Continental Constabulary (C.C.); ownership of firearms in the Technate is strictly prohibited aside from a few special cases, the weapons are monitored closely in the Technates favourite tool of spreadsheets and databases, despite this a group was able to either 3D components and assemble them with metal capable printers without being flagged by the monitoring systems. The shooters numbered 12 and managed to bring down 3 CC officers before being killed off by Special Police intervention. A Manifesto had been publically released with paper and digital copies that the CC tried to clamp down on, but the paper copies made it out into the wild. Several civilians had been caught in the crossfire and hospitalized, but none had died. The manifesto was a protest against the Surveillance State that is increasingly crushing the lives of the citizens. Despite their massive economic freedom of receiving energy credits, they are in a cage they cannot leave, like children kept inside a playpen with every need accommodated.

The CC tried to clamp down on this spreading or causing a wider issue. Still, the citizens seemed to have a measure of agreement with the criminals despite their methodology and the event spread despite an absence of news coverage. One of the methods of protest was citizens kept tossing buckets of colourful paint on the bleak concrete megalithic structures or making graffiti or otykenese calligraphy with spray paint which is strictly prohibited, they are well regarded as an orderly society and people, so this was quite profound for the time. There is a worry that this could become out of hand and spawn more rebellious nature if these radicals paint the country as a prison.
------------
Socializing the Naacal
After the somewhat successful ritual of the star spawn the SI removed the Tome from the island and the storm broke and the sun shone once more, during this time the Otykenese on the island would attempt to socialize the Naacal and brought in many new services such as schooling and healthcare and modern technology to get them up to speed and even revitalized their dead language with language model software and examination of their ruins. The Naacal absolutely abhorred the Otykenese as though they had no proof it was pretty obvious to them what had happened to that village which disappeared. The airport was also open to people visiting as this was a special administrative zone of the Technate and didn't fully adhere to the continent's regulations much like the other oceanic territories. The Naacali were not given Technate citizenship, but were provided direction for establishing their own systems like Passports, Identification, and other essential documents. They would become part of the modern world.
------------
A Splash of Color
The city of Yueliang became the epicentre of unrest in the Technate; the crimes of those 'revolutionaries' had been quickly forgotten, but their message resounded in quite an exceptional way, the graffiti became a common sight, and those found to be doing it were often beaten and arrested and held for a week before being released without charges. Though in one incident someone had been beaten to death and a riot had sprung up in the city the CC deployed riot police and their shields were getting spray painted by the people, the riot also included a vigil for the person that was killed and they sent out floating lanterns. The sale of paints became banned in the city, so it had to be imported, which made the incidents less common, but those that purchased paint in large numbers had a visit from the CC and some hefty fines deducting their share of the Technates Credits.

Yet the darkening skies and the eerie change in atmosphere and the tentacles appearing in the sky. It was something that simply wasn’t an everyday occurrence.

Though the government actions before and afterwards has caused a stir amongst the people. Even provoking the shadows of the far-right rebels and staunch Republican supporters who wish to bring back the Federal Republic of Honalulu. Crack downs occurred, social media went wild, politicians mostly in the rural mainland areas resigned while new faces showed up trying to climb up to the top of the government.

So far Honalulu’s government remains opposed to any changes nor has no desire to formally recognize their actions upon the rural population were harmful along with the shift to vertical farming. Stating that farmers simply had to embrace the change that is brought forth by technology.

—| The Imperial Commonwealth of the Federation of Solingarch |—

RP Interlude: Sometimes Reds are Green, Actually

Despite international socialist and communist movements widely tending to associate themselves with the color red, Solingarchi leftists are known to use a deep shade of green when representing their ideology. This practice traces back to 1885, when the Valean Commonwealth threw up green flags and attempted to tear away the yoke of the Solingarchi crown through semi-sovereign self-government and the abolition of the Estate System. Revolutionaries motivated by a passionate fervor rejected the tyrannies of the old regime and promised to all the empire’s subjects property, rights, and democratic confederation, espousals which greatly unnerved the High Estate. The movement never went as far as demanding the total destruction of the monarchy, but their threat was still perceived as existential by the ruling order, and so the Federation was plunged into half a decade of bloody civil war. Fighting only subsided when the Emperor resorted to the ultimate means, dropping a nuclear weapon on the city of Vale. The revolution’s green banners fell amidst a mountain of corpses and stained imperial burgundy.

Ever since, whenever the population took to revolutionizing their lives, such as in peasant revolts or labor disputes, they threw up the old banners of those tragically short-lived greens, reviving their war cries and imagining themselves as continuing their legacy. Where the crown had succeeded in slaughtering their number, it failed to expunge their memory, and so in every corner of the empire ghosts stalked the public consciousness. The color was thus removed from all imperial heraldry as it had become the definitive symbol of societal change and revolution waged against the throne. As the Solingarchi proletariat took up green, so did the Solingarchi communists; by their theory, understanding the Valean War through the lens of historical materialism, the conflict was a classical bourgeoisie revolution against the feudal ruling class and mode of production which, due to special material circumstances, had proto-communist tendencies worth remembering. The socialist revolution, of course, could not follow the same path due to its own fundamentally different class character and the necessity of bringing society forward rather than regressing it into a dead era, but the lessons of 1885 could not be soon forgotten by any movement that wished to succeed.

In the modern day, dark green is near unanimously used by socialists and communists as well as the militant wings of social-democratic organizations, the exception being the ultraleft flank of Solingarchi communism which often accuses the movement’s core of reactionary nationalism which implicitly rejects the internationalist cause by not using red. It is similarly rejected, for entirely different reasons, by the more conservative liberal-democratic elements in the country who shrink away fearfully from its unpatriotic connotation.

RP Doing Better + The first Coalition

Thanks to valiant efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to the suffering people of Baltocarpathia, from Amberleaf and the Greater Confederation of Switzerland, as well as other partner nations like Allessia, Rykensvik and Sodor and Seljaryssk, the country is on the road to a speedy recovery. Economic investment in various nations has also yielded significant returns from the imperial investments of the old regime now helping bolster the Republic’s own legitimacy on the world stage. With much of Prussia and the Baltic’s rebuilt, humanitarian funding would now shift southward to rebuild Poland which suffered under occupation by all sides and saw the worst of the fighting by far. Having gained sea access through the redrawing of the internal borders, the new polish republic has seen growth in both population and tourism but has yet to recover fully from years of air raids and economic domination by the former kingdom of Prussia.

The Election
The two front runner parties are the Harmony Coalition and the Christian Democrat party. Both of which will now discuss among themselves a series of political compromises they will be willing to make in order to bring forth a candidate that represents both parties. Following this the people of the nation will vote on the individual to see if he is a good fit for the position and if he represents the best of both parties. If so, the representative senate will decide to either swear him in or ask for another candidate from the coalition

RP | Law & Police

In Amberleaf, the law is not the stiff and strict and uncompromising thing it is typically in other countries. The law is a little bit like the informal social norms. There are taboos and etiquette, and going against it is generally frowned upon, but they aren't as clear cut, not as uncompromising, more like guidelines. The main difference between Amberleaf's Law and Social Norm is that the law is written down, and has official actors, instead of unofficial ones. Amberleaf only recently really got a taste of law of other countries, where it seems almost like a holy command, and a game taken a bit too seriously. On the positive side, Amberleaf's law-philosophy cannot really be loopholed that easily, as "common sense" was generally quick to overrule any attempts at such shenanigans, and not too restrained to ignore the law in absurd cases. On the negative side, law is regularly up to the arbitrary will of its actors, putting the minorities under the whims of the majority. However, contact to other nations and the progressive movement have lead to a "stiffening" in Amberlevian law-philosophy in recent times.

Policing is also a reflection of Amberlevian culture of power from below and not above, with power lying in the common people over the authority above. The majority of the police belong the First Police, also called the Soft Police. The difference in power and authority between civilians and this police is rather small, in contrast to what might be more typical in other countries. The First Police fulfills more the duty of keeping an eye on things and ensuring a peaceful atmosphere. The law is a lot more critical of violence by policewomen than violence against policewomen. The Soft Police is mainly instructed to keep non-violent, with more focus set on the ability of taking in than dishing out. ironically means the Soft Police is a safer target than your common civilian, who is very much ready and capable to punch back. The Soft Police really does more encompass the vibes of "friend and helper", with a cutesy blue cap.

Responsible for the more hands-on approach is the Second Police, also called Hard Police, outfitted with an intentionally more distinctive red cap. Their style will be more reminiscent of the one from your typical country. They can more freely undertake investigations and make arrests. Unlike the Soft Police, the Hard Police may come lethally armed. The rebels against the establishment like to target the police. And while it is considered uncourteous to attack the Soft Police, the Hard Police is generally fair game. A discouragement of bullying the Soft Police is that they might have friends of the Hard Police nearby, who are less restrained about taking out the bonkin' stick.

If things really get bad, there comes the Third Police, also known as the Clash Police. Often heavily armed and armored, they are loud and nasty and ready for a fight, taking in the role and aesthetics of a the really mean and intimidating police, very much by design. A big part of their entrance is intimidation. They might play a more passive role in the background in rowdy encounters with the Second Police, to sometimes remind things could be worse, and y'all better start behaving and calming down. All-out deployment of the Clash Police is getting increasingly rare in modern Amberleaf. Their main use is lying in Amberleaf's past of violent internal conflicts. The only Canton regularly making use of the Clash Police nowadays is Canton Greenside, a region who had never really calmed down.

There exists also the very rare Forth Police, the Military Police. As well as having completed their police service, they also have been into military education and duty. The Forth Police contains the harshness of the Third Police, but with military clearance. Its purpose is mainly to police the military institute, and the reserved for very special militant policing operations.

While official police exists, civilians taking initiative in ensuring law and order themselves and taking a fight if needed is very much culture, and even accounted for by law. There are sections in the law concerning the Civilian Police, officially called the Zeroth Police. It outlines the rights and powers of civilians to take policing into their own hands.

RP: The National Defense

The Goran Government has long prioritized the national defense in regard to its spending and publicity efforts. Concern has arisen as to how the nation’s health infrastructure would hold up in the event of a widescale high casualty event. Lawmakers in the capital are calling the nation’s health infrastructural management “shameful” and “laughable.”

In response to this, the Goran Congress and Vice Garzo have almost unanimously approved emergency actions to build up the national health crisis capacity. Over a hundred thousand health workers are to be hired, and an additional ten billion golaps are to be directed to healthcare spending.

With the revival of the written language through computer models the ancient constitution engraved upon stones became clear, their leader was long passed, but provided provisions to move forward. The Naacali people were a lot civilization living on one of the furthest points from civilization the archetypal point Nemo, their islands became a site for massive military bases for Otyken to reach Baltocarpathia. This caused immense tragedy, but also a hopeful beginning as the civilization could join the world, they unfortunately found themselves in the territory of Otyken, but had been given some measures to govern themselves because of the distance and risk of international controversy. Over a span of several years they had their language back, learned of the world, and recieved varying levels of education and conducted some trade with the military base and airports that Otyken had here to grow a miniscule economy. The trio of islands was tropical and most well known for its heavy rainfall and dazzling ruins that stretch back to the antediluvian era, their existence shrouded in pseudoscience and pseudoarcheology.

But with their world now expanded they needed things to build like tools, equipment, knowledge, boats, and planes. Currently their economy amasses ~94 million Int$ meaning purchases would be highly limited and the seller would need to eat the delivery cost, but they can follow Otykens routes unhindered to reach the island and the airport was opened recently to allow nations in reasonable standing to land here. Therefore with rudimentary satellite internet a hand would be extended looking to exchange as the items Otyken is willing to trade are highly limited as if to keep them contained here or left in the same state.

Amberleaf had recently fallen out with the Technate. There weren't any too hard feelings about it in Amberleaf, moreso a general indifference to Otyken and a mild annoyance to Honalulu. In the civil war of Baltocarpathia, Amberleaf had worked with Otyken, using the bases of Naacal. There was still a small network left there. Now, Amberleaf sees it as an opportunity to gain influence in the region, seeing as the Technate isn't that trustworthy. Trade would be opened with Naacal, with the long-term goal of bringin the island under Amberleaf's sphere of influence.

By newest estimates, Amberleaf outpopulated Gartentor thirty to one, and Gartentor's military was fully outdated. A war would be no contest at all. So the sudden rush of Gartentor caught Amberleaf wholly by surprise. The Gartentor forces rushed to claim as much territory as it could, before the Amberlevian military would arrive. They avoided populated areas, but conquered rural regions with occasional violent altercation.

Having thought to have buried its genocidal past never to surface, the corpse of the past was now risen. A bloody war in Amberlevian territory, one that would leave Gartentor massacred, would reflect very poorly on modern Amberleaf, given its past. Parliament was called in for an emergency yelling-at-each-other. Militarists and conservatives were giving a full on call for battle to drive out the invaders. Where to drive them out to, given Amberleaf had no land borders, was not really a point of consideration. Pacifists were firmly against it. Most rest of the parliament didn't exclude the violent option, but preferred firstly a diplomatic attempt. There was an agreement to place the military near the border of conflict, but not yet start an offensive, while the Ministry went on a diplomatic mission. Internationally, Amberleaf made veiled threat not to recognize Gartentor as a state.

Refusing to immediately respond to the perceived invasion with full military might had a chunk of the more nationalistic public very upset. Having a more mythical image of Amberleaf, it was perceived an insult, a humiliation. By not crossing Gartentor's claimed borders, they had been passively recognized and given a certain validity. The pure rage of those Mythics translated to large protests, waving Amberlevian flags, and gathings where Gartentorian iconography was ceremoniously burned. In one instance a museum was raided, which contained some of the history and culture of the native civilizations Amberleaf had driven out. It had long been a place of the few remnants of culture that survived Amberlevian terror. And it had been a meeting place for the few voices that did not want to forget about the past. After the police had finally driven out the raiders, most contents of the museum had been destroyed.

In Greenside the Mythic voices had also been raised. The Greenside Government yelled at the Ministry to let the national military advance and protect Greenside's territory and rural settlements and their people, but was firmly declined. Greenside being Greenside, it had never really had the fervor to follow the Amber Ministry's instruction. It had no cantonal military, as such a force of war was only legal on the national level. But Greenside had been the most rowdy Canton in a while now, making up the majority of riots and police brutality in the nation. Greenside's military was highly militant. Shortly after Gartentor's advance into northern Greenside, the local Clash Police was ordered to engage violently. They were getting overrun at the beginning, but started holding on when the rest of the regional Clash Police was trickling in, joining the bloodbath. After Greenside's government didn't see the results it had hoped for, the Hard Police was sent, which wasn't meant for events of such high escalation, and lacked the all-out equipment of the Clash Police. The Ministry once again sent a delegation to Greenside for a yelling match about their actions.

In the presence of the event and the relocation of most of the best-equipped police force, the small rebellious faction in Greenside, who had long been sick of their current government lead by the Evergreen party and Governor Helix with their strict conservatism and ever-more aggressive policing, took the opportunity. They started marching into government buildings and occupying it, throwing out or capturing people belonging to Evergreen, with too little police to stop them. Helix had to flee her office into "exile" a few cities over. In this catastrophic aftermath, the Greenside Evergreens spotted an opportunity.

The Greenside Evergreens were a conservative party, a party of druids, and a party of separatists. They wished for Greenside independence from Amberleaf. It's neighboring Canton of Blackshell had similar interests, but was less vocal about it. What had just been provided was a veiled gift. Amberleaf would never allow a cantonal military. It would grant immense negotiating power to the separatists. But now they had an excuse. Helix started a secret dialogue with Blackshell, and a plan was hatched. Canton Blackshell was a major stop of military bases, only shortly behind Canton Pirce, and more largely behind the highly-militant Canton Highess. Blackshell had long dreamed of its own military.

Blackshell announced a state of emergency, seeing Greenside's trouble keeping itself together, and with the national army seemingly unwilling to help, it would take initiative itself. Significant parts of the national military in Blackshell were loyal to their Canton. When the call from Blackshell came it would form a "temporary" militia, there were some military stations willing to commit. Blackshell was forming its own defense force, partially from fervent civilians, police, and loyalist or separatist soldiers. Arms from armories were also delivered to Greenside, who in part also began forming its "temporary" militia. The Amber Ministry understood very well what was happening, but currently lacked the enforcement power to truly stop it, as much of the local population, unaware of its implications, stood in support of the initiative. The Amberlevian southern Cantons were getting out of control. Once they established their own armed forces, it would be very difficult to take them away again.

Governor Helix already dreamed of the Greenside Republican Offense Force.

BREAKING - BOMBINGS ROCK NOSHKANT, KULKKISTAN UNDER ATTACK

A series of bombings struck our nation, killing many and threatening the stability of the revolution.

        [ NOSHKANT • DECEMBER 2012 ]

[ NOSHKANT24 ] - Earlier today, our nation was viciously attacked by forces of evil. Explosions suddenly rocked Noshkant, with several different bombings targeting civilian and government insfrastructure. It is unknown exactly how many have died and been wounded, but so far at least 62 deaths have been counted and at least 230 have been wounded by the attacks. Earlier in the day, before noon, at around 11:30 in the morning, the first explosion struck a busy shopping center in eastern Noshkant, tragically killing dozens of civilians and wounding many more. Around ten minutes later, another explosive went off at the embassy of Rykensvik, causing extensive damage to the building and killing an unknown amount as recovery efforts there are still ongoing. Following this second bombing, emergency services were notified and Vice President of the nation Taghi Daranh declared a nationwide state of emergency, as Supreme Leader Tarrokh has been absent from his duties for the past few days due to personal duties he must attend. A third bomb went off near the headquarters of our great air force, wounding at least seven, however killing no one so far. A fourth and final bomb detonated at a the Ukalabh Temple of Worship in southern Noshkant, killing at least twenty so far and wounding dozens more.

Vice President Daranh, who has thankfully assumed Tarrokh's duties as president of our nation, stated that the attacks against Kulkkistan would not go unpunished. He promised a harsh response against those who were involved, which many have suspected to be Kulkkistan's foreign enemies. He also stated that 13 December would be a day of mourning for those who were killed in the bombings. A group known as the 'Akhist State of Kulkkistan' later claimed responsiblity for the terrible attacks, and our government would state that the Akhist State was supported and assisted by foreigners in committing the attack, in order to make sure we were hurt the most. However, our national integrity remains strong, and our great leaders have assured our people that our response to these attacks will be greater than anything ever seen before. Hazameh, the Ansouthi movement, the Akhist Resistance, and other resistance forces have offered their condolences to the families of those who were killed, an stated they would fully support our government in finding and punishing those who were responsible.

Not much is known about the Akhist State or their motives, however sources close to Noshkant24 in eastern Kulkkistan have claimed that they have recently started to gain an influence in rural areas of the nation. If they truly carried out these atrocious attacks, we will not hesitate to punish them.

As news of the bombings in Noshkant shook the nation, and put their focus on issues pertaining to attacks by domestic or foreign sources, an even greater dilemma was developing behind the scenes. While Kulkkistani media claimed that Tarrokh was taking time off to focus on the religious aspects of his life, with promises to return as a far better leader, the truth was he couldn't be doing any worse. For the past few days, he had been undergoing severe treatment as his health started to rapidly fail and his last days were rapidly approaching. The best doctors in all of Kulkkistan, which had been assigned with treating Supreme Leader Tarrokh, couldn't do anything at all to save his health. For days he had been going in and out of comas, as his old age finally caught up to him. As he got closer to dying every day, Kulkkistani higher-ups scrambled as they desperately tried to save his life. They knew that his death, alongside the recent bombings, would throw the entire nation into disarray. As well as this, it was unknown how the Kulkkistani public would react to a new leader, as Tarrokh had been framed as a semi-god within the Akhist religion. It was ultimately decided that the only safe thing to do was to pin the blame on foreigners, who would be "responsible for poisoning the Supreme Leader and killing him".

For now though, as Tarrokh spent his last few days falling in and out of consciousness, all the Kulkkistani government could do was wait for him to die. They already had a plan in action, including Tarrokh's successor, who was to be Mehdi Sehat, a close ally of Tarrokh who had previously held political, miltary, and religious positions within Kulkkistani society. Although he was much more radical than Tarrokh, and could potentially cause international crises in the future, he was no doubt popular among the wider Kulkkistani public. Sehat was also a former member of the Ansouthis, and still kept close with their leadership, meaning his actions as Supreme Leader of Kulkkistan could be influenced by the extremist militant groups that have been a problem to regional stability.

As Tarrokh's final moments rapidly approached, many within the government and his family began to privately withdraw from wider Kulkkistani society in order to focus on his inevitable death. Even during the bombings, many within the government had been absent at a time of need, with only a select few bothering to make statements on what had happened. Instead, with Tarrokh breathing his last few breaths, his family and close allies within the government would wait by his side. It was only a matter of time, just a few minutes, before he would flatline, and doctors would scramble to save him. They tried everything, however nothing worked, and it was official, on the same day that nearly a hundred had been killed in bombings.

Supreme Leader Ali Tarrokh, Guide of the Revolution and Messenger of Akhrah, was dead. Now, the government would have to break the news to the wider population. It was decided they would do so within the upcoming week.

FOREIGN MINISTRY OF THE UDONOVI REPUBLIC OF KULKKISTAN
وزارت امور خارجه جمهوری اودونووی کولکستان

The government of Kulkkistan has been monitoring the ongoing developments between Amberleaf and Gartentor closely. Amberleaf has colonized and subjugated the people of Gartentor, and now the population of Gartentor has chosen to rise up against their colonizers. As an act of solidarity towards their struggles against imperialism, we hav chosen to formally recognize the Confederacy of Gartentor as a sovereign nation, independent from their former Amberlevian overlords.

Kulkkistan calls on the government of Amberleaf to stand down, and to allow Gartentor their full freedom and liberation. We reiterate our support towards any and all groups and nations working against the evils of imperialism, capitalism, and other exploitative ideologies.
