Q: What is the Consiglio?
A: The Consiglio dei Pregadi is the single most powerful institution in Venice, providing a Democratic check on the power of the Doge. Members of the Consiglio are referred to as "Senators" and have the power to draft laws, approve all of the Doge's appointments, and contest actions from the Doge.
Q: So, what do I have to do exactly?
A: As a Senator, you will be responsible for approving all appointments made by the Doge, and writing laws for the betterment of Venice.
Q: How do the elections work?
Limitless nations with citizenships can declare their candidacy and after a week or so of campaigning we will have a vote on March 1st. The top three vote-getters are our next Senators!
Q: What requirements are there to be a Senator?
A:
1. You must be a citizen of Venice
2. You must commit to being active (logging on every other day, roughly -- though sh*t happens, we understand!)

Do i need to apply for citizenship.
Greetings, welcome to Venice! While becoming a citizen is not mandatory to stay in the region, I would highly encourage you to join the forums and apply for citizenship. Not only is most of our activity on the fourms (diplomacy, rôle-play, spam games, you name it!), becoming a citizen means you can vote in Venetian elections and participate in our regional government. You could even run Senator (candidatures are currently underway)...
