The Colony of Farmea23 is a massive, safe nation, notable for its free-roaming dinosaurs, suspicion of poets, and stringent health and safety legislation. The compassionate, humorless population of 4.916 billion Farmea23ians are prohibited from doing almost everything except voting, which they do timidly and conservatively.

The medium-sized, corrupt, moralistic, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Education. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 61.8%.

The frighteningly efficient Farmea23ian economy, worth 609 trillion rupees a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient, fairly diversified black market in Arms Manufacturing, Tourism, Information Technology, and Woodchip Exports. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 124,009 rupees, with the richest citizens earning 7.6 times as much as the poorest.

Billions of rupees are being blown on orbital weapons development, homeless people dying of starvation are thought to be a necessary cost of preventing terrorism, warning signs caution Farmea23ians where they may fall off 'the edge of the world', and punk-rockers and girl-bands are united in their loss of fashion statements. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Farmea23's national animal is the parrot, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies.

Farmea23 is ranked 265,669th in the world and 9,443rd in Lazarus for Most Primitive, scoring -215.15 on the Scary Big Number Scale.
