The Queendom of Rangi and Kyoshi is a huge, cultured nation, remarkable for its multi-spousal wedding ceremonies, restrictive gun laws, and stringent health and safety legislation. The hard-working, cynical population of 523 million Kyoshi Islandians are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

The relatively small government juggles the competing demands of Education, Welfare, and Healthcare. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Yokoya. The average income tax rate is 13.1%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The strong Kyoshi Islandian economy, worth 31.1 trillion Copper Pieces a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Tourism industry, with major contributions from Trout Farming, Uranium Mining, and Woodchip Exports. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 59,473 Copper Pieces, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

One does not simply walk into the tundra, the nation is stuck in permanent election mode as politicians demand constant do-overs, the government is ignoring the latest terrorist atrocities in Yokoya for fear of causing a fuss, and Rangi and Kyoshi has designated Yokoya as its capital city. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown. Rangi and Kyoshi's national animal is the Badgermole, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Rangi and Kyoshi is ranked 210,758th in the world and 8,059th in Lazarus for Largest Automobile Manufacturing Sector, scoring -4 on the Henry Ford Productivity Index.
