WELCOME TO THE TROUT ESSEMBLY

GENERAL TROUT KNOWLEDGE
The Trout Essembly is a loose coalition of nations generally dedicated to preserving the status quo and growing our economies. Founded by Aviary following the great Aviaryian-Weavenian war, Weaven and Aviary were long-standing powers up until their nations' respective dissolutions.

Why "Trout" was chosen is mostly up to interpretation, but it may have something to do with the fish's abundance in local waterways.

The Trout Essembly Regional Message Board

Rio Paraguay wrote:Looks like we're really the only ones who will be rebuilding the Essembly. I suggest we design a roleplay universe. I recently came up with an interesting idea for one: "What if borders were real in every sense?"

The idea is that one day, people start dying. Eventually, the world realizes there are invisible boundaries that kill human brains that pass through. These are not based on any borders that have ever existed, so there is a lot of chaos. A nation-state and it's greatest neighboring rival might both be split in half by the same boundary, where North Portugal is trapped with North Spain and South Portugal with South Spain. Drone technology advances to replace infantry. The new borders are easy to identify where they bisect once-unified cities, now littered with bodies, but things are more uncertain in unpopulated areas, at sea, and in the air.

I really like this idea. I think it'll be fun, when can we set it up? Sorry for the late reply as well.

First, we need to decide how the world will work. What time period is it analogous to? How long ago did the borders come down? What does a map of the world look like? What do the new borders look like?

Also, we might want to name some things. For example, the RP itself, so we can refer to it easily. I have two ideas: "Bordering on Insanity (BOI)" and "Divide et Impera (DEI)." We would also want a term for the zones. Perhaps "Living Rooms" (yes, like Lebensraum) or "Cells" (referring to both biological and prison cells). We could even have multiple names in-universe because that's what would really happen.

10 million Nations is pretty crazy. You still counted among the 300,000 extant ones, Ineritia?

Ok, what is that place?

Yeah, still here. I apologize for the silence, I've been a little busy.

Do you refer to this Region, or to NationStates?

This region.

This Region has a funny name, it is the Trout Essembly. It was created by people who are now gone, and it was raided twice. We've worked to make it more difficult to raid, and hope we can create a roleplay setting.

Oh, this is a very interesting history.

This is what I was posted earlier. What do you think? Ineritia and I are really the only chatty ones but we're both busy, so it's slow going.
