The Island of Capri is a gargantuan, efficient nation, remarkable for its daily referendums, disturbing lack of elderly people, and stringent health and safety legislation. The hard-nosed, humorless, devout population of 14.245 billion Caprians are prohibited from doing almost everything except voting, which they do timidly and conservatively.

The large, corrupt government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defense, and Administration. The average income tax rate is 69.3%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Caprian economy, worth a remarkable 1,762 trillion Golds a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a large, well-organized, fairly diversified black market in Arms Manufacturing, Information Technology, Uranium Mining, and Automobile Manufacturing. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 123,716 Golds, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.4 times as much as the poorest.

Sniffer dogs check train passengers for body odour, power to the people comes from the barrel of a gun, the Capri City Women's Prison Choir now has a baritone section, and the environment is gorgeous so long as you're looking up. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Capri's national animal is the Elephant, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Capri is ranked 261,989th in the world and 9,220th in Lazarus for Most Primitive, scoring -196.25 on the Scary Big Number Scale.
